Unhappy Holidays For GH's Jason and Courtney

It's a blue Christmas for GH's Courtney when she and Jason spend it apart. "This should have been their first Christmas together as a married couple," sighs Alicia Leigh Willis (Courtney), "It's not fair [laughs]!"

Who said love is fair? "Courtney knows that she can't handle the life Jason leads, but it's killing her not to be with him," Willis explains. "It's torture." Even more torturous is the way the couple spends the holiday. "Jason goes to Sonny's island, while she has Christmas dinner with Sonny and Carly," the actress begins. "Jason calls to talk to them, but he doesn't talk to Courtney ... and that's really hard for her."

By week's end. It looks like it's over for the couple ... and Brian is waiting in the wings. "There are a lot of things that make her think she shouldn't even be friends with Brian," Willis says "I mean he shot her brother!" However, that doesn't stop Courtney from accepting his invitation to the opening of Luke's casino on New Year's Eve. But don't expect sparks to fly -- yet. "Right now, she has no intention of having a relationship with anybody, let alone Brian, because she's still in love with Jason," Willis points out. "But she knows she has to move on."
