Special thanks to Amanda and Terri at SoapZone for their transcript and recaps! Also to Mary for the pictures!

Amanda's transcript…
Transcribers note - I didn't think it was possible to get a more annoying moderator than the one Steve had - I was wrong.
Moderator - Congratulations I hear you are up for a daytime Emmy
Alicia - Thank you. I don't know if any of you saw the View. It was totally unexpected so when I got there and they announced it, they had the cameras on me and I felt like the biggest dork because I was just in shock. I didn't even know what I was saying I was just rambling on and on. I hugged Erin Hershey, who I just love, and we were so excited.
Moderator - Who are you running against?
Alicia - I was so excited and completely freaked out I have no idea who I'm running against. Isn't that awful I have no idea - everything else was just a blur. I should totally figure out who my competition is sooner or later.
Moderator - What is your average day like?
Alicia - It all depends. We get our call times the day before and we never know what time we are going to be working. We are so busy, all of us are that it's hard to have a life besides the show. When we get home we are studying 50 pages of dialogue for the next day. When I do have time I love to workout, I love doing yoga, I love running on the beach - I live near the beach which is great I love it -, surfing with my boyfriend, any second I have do something I'm always doing something, playing golf, anything I can fit into my schedule.
Moderator - How long does it take you to learn your lines?
Alicia - When I first started on the show it took me forever and I was like how do these people do this day in and day out it's so hard. But now I'm used to it and it takes me maybe an hour to learn 50 pages of dialogue. I still don't know how I do it but all of us, you just get used to it.
Moderator - If you forget your lines - do you just ad-lib?
Alicia - Well some people do. You can probably tell who does. I'm pretty good at learning my lines and keeping on top of it but when you do you try to keep going and when you can't they are pretty forgiving unless you do it over and over and over again which some people do too.
Moderator - You mentioned that you go surfing with your boyfriend,
obviously you are dating somebody, how long, who is he?
Alicia - His name is Mike, we've dating for about two and a half of years, my brother introduced us they work for the same company, he's the love of my life.
OKAY GH STUFF FROM NOW ON
Moderator - Obviously you are pretty young (huh?) - can you tell us about your first love scene?
Alicia - It's really weird. You have this camera here when your kissing this way, then you have to turn your head this way for this camera and then you have to put your hand here. It's very technical - there's a lot to remember so your sitting here next to this gorgeous guy, which is already making me nervous enough going is my breath okay, OMG do I have anything in (she motions to her teeth), it's so nerve wracking because on top of all that you have to remember look into his eyes like you are in love with him and all that. It's scary - my first love scene was with Billy Warlock and he's so sweet, we're friends, he made it really comfortable, we joke around a lot to try to ease up things because they are really hard to do but I'm pretty lucky I get to work with some great guys, good looking guys.
Moderator - Do you hang out with other people from the show?
Alicia - Tamara and I are really good friends. She has been so amazing to me since I first got on the show. We've become so close and I'm so glad that they are making our characters friends now, it's so nice to see women on daytime soaps actually get along and like each other. Everyone is always at each other. With Becky we have all these catty scenes together where we are supposed to be mean to each other and we're friends too so we get a kick out of that. As far as hanging out with other people - occasionally we do but we all get along so well, everybody does, it's such a tight group. I'm really fortunate to work with all these great people.
Moderator - So how do you show up for work? Do they do your hair and makeup - how does that work?
Alicia - Thank god! Because there are really good hair and makeup people because when we all show up we don't look half as good as we do on screen. It's scary. I show up in boots and jeans and a t-shirt - I'm such a tom boy. I grew up in Orange County and it's all about surfing and being in jeans and a t-shirt. So thank goodness we have really good people that put me together and make me look good for camera or we would be in some serious trouble.
Moderator - Do you get to wear the clothes you wear on the show - outside of the show?
Alicia - They are really good about lending us clothes for events and stuff and on occasion I sneak some stuff out for Friday night with the girls. It really saves me a lot of money on shopping - my biggest bad habit I have is shopping. So I've been lucky to be able to wear some of the really nice things they buy for us.
Moderator - Would you say your personality is similar to Courtney's?
Alicia - I think more and more thankfully they are writing her to be a lot more like I am - they are toughening her up. When she first came on the show she was such a dingbat. I was like you guys are killing me especially when you are like making me take my clothes off. It was awful. But luckily they are making her a lot smarter and she is learning how to take care of herself - thank God.
Moderator - Okay they kind of opened the door for me on the whole stripping thing.
Alicia - That's the number one question I get - how did you like stripping. I would you like stripping on national television, swinging on a poll in front of twenty extras. Luckily they put so much makeup on me because I would have been bright red the entire time. I can't dance and they had me in these in these tiny little outfits with lighting in all different directions so you could see every little thing. These huge shoes - my shoes were like this tall I felt like a circus freak and then they gave me a dance choreographer saying we want you to swing on this pole and act sexy at the same time and then you will have a crying scene two seconds later with Billy when he finds out you're a stripper. I was like okay I'm going to kill myself. It was really hard but it brought me out of my shell but I was like if I can do that I can do almost anything.
Moderator - If you could be anyone on the show who would you want to be?
Alicia - Sonny - I want to be a mob boss - I want to take after my big brother. I think he's got the best character on the show. He has so much fun with it and no one can pull it off like he does though. None of us could fill his shoes but I liked to try it for a day. Steve did on the Fan Fantasy show. I guess he got to be Sonny for a day - I would have liked to try that.
Moderator - How is it working with Sonny? He's telling you what to do now isn't he?
Alicia - Sonny has to have control over everything. I watched Maurice before I was on the show - I was a fan - I thought he was such an amazing actor and when I found out I was going to be his sister I was so thrilled. If there was anyone I wanted to work with on daytime it would be him. He's great - he really works with you - we study the same style of acting so whenever I lose focus or anything he keeps me on track and then he's like a big brother where we goof around and have fun. I'm really fortunate to be able to work with him.
Moderator - When you were on the show - your Dad was dead. What was that like?
Alicia - They kind of threw me into a crazy story to begin with. Okay your first day you find out that your father who you thought was dead your whole life is alive, you have a brother you don't know about, your mother is blackmailing so and so - oh this was like my first day thanks I appreciate it. I'm very lucky to work with Ron who plays my Dad. (she forgot the name of Mike and paused a bit it was very funny) - the woman who played my mother was fantastic and the two of them together the way they worked off each other was so great. I wish I got to work more with him - he's such a good actor and he brings so much to the show. But finding that out the first day I was there was pretty crazy.
Terri's question - Congrats on the Emmy nomination. What can you tell us about the 40th episode - ice skating with Carly, etc.
(Sorry Terri I had to paraphrase couldn't hear the whole question.)
Alicia - Am I allowed to talk about that - I don't know - will I - YES! This episode where Carly falls through the ice? You already know so I'm not giving anything away? I am there and it's huge, it's such a great episode. When we showed up I didn't know how they were going to shoot it. The ice was all wax and we were all slipping around and I was like how is this going to work? They had this stunt women, and they had one part of the wax that was really thin so when she broke through she fell into this tank below full of water like she fell through the ice - it was the coolest thing. I kinda of wished I could have done it because it looked like fun but Tamara wasn't having that much fun. She was like it was cold and wet.
Amanda's question - Is Courtney going to help Carly figure out what Ric did to her?
Alicia - Well I don't think Courtney really knows, I hope she finds out because I hope she's the one to ruin him. (She asks if we saw when Carly told Courtney here) I think it is really good that Courtney gets to be there for her through this time because she needs someone to tell what happened I think she needs to. Did you see the scenes with her and Ric after it happened? Wasn't Tamara amazing? It's cool that all my scenes with Ric now, even though I love Rick he's a total sweetheart, I get to be a total jerk off. It's so much fun so look out here I come and I get to watch out for my girl. Courtney is definitely going to be there for Carly.
Question - I just love your relationship with Jason. Does your character feel guilty about breaking up Sonny and Jason?
Alicia - She doesn't understand why she has to come between the two of them. I mean she fell in love with him - she can't help that they are in love. When Sonny gets in the middle, I understand that he doesn't want her to be a part of that life but she is regardless of where her relationship is with Jason. She's Sonny's sister she's always going to be part of that life. She feels like he is being bull headed and is keeping control over her and she doesn't like to be controlled. I think she feels bad that the whole situation is like this but she loves him, she can't help it, she's not going to give up the man she loves so Sonny can control her.
Question - Do you think Jason is strong enough to hold on to Courtney?
Alicia - For the first time I think he is really ... I've always seen him play things really cold but lately in scenes with me and stuff well we broke up, made up I've seen a side of him I've never seen when I watched the show before. He's overwhelmed - he doesn't know what to do.
Question - Do you see a Journey wedding anytime soon?
Alicia - I think with everything that is going on there is going to be a lot of back and forth. I don't think there is going to be a wedding anytime soon but you never know down the line I hope so because I really like working five days a week and since I've been working with him I've been working a lot more. So I'll keep my fingers crossed.
(She also mentioned that they don't like shooting weddings because they take too long but the tape was too hard to transcribe here)
Assorted questions I'm not transcribing (I'm lazy) They asked her how long they tape ahead and she thinks about two weeks. She was asked if she gets approached in public and she said that a lot of times people come up to her and say she looks just like Courtney on GH. She is flattered by all the compliments she gets and people are really supportive. She says her boyfriend hardly watches the show but if she does a really good scene she'll tape it for him. She was asked if Brenda was coming back. She said he didn't know she hopes so because she is very talented and brings something good to GH and mentioned off the cuff that she heard she was getting a pilot. Someone asked her about Sarah Brown and she really didn't know much and said she was a fan.
Terri 's recap autograph recap…
We waited in line with the 2 Omaha Journey fans, & made new friends with the 3 woman in front of us- 2 of whom had gone to SSW in Disney World 2 years ago- saw Maurice- Love Maurice. All 3 love the Sonny/Jason storyline- hate the courtroom/Alexis storyline.
The woman just ahead of me in line- upon getting her autograph- complimented the NYE epi to Alicia-
ALW commented how much fun it was to make, & how that was the episode GH had submitted for Emmy's but didn't get the nom with.
The woman mentioned she watched that episode many times, & re-watched again just recently. I piped in (well, cause I'm an Evil CFF-er & get excited) on the fact that I re-watched in after the recent shooting scene at the Cellar- & was impressed in watching the 2 episodes back-to-back how they matched up.
She agreed, saying how they tied in together. I mentioned having seen on the internet (at GHH2- but didn't mention to her where) how someone had posted a shot-by-shot comparison of the 2 episodes. She thought that was cool.
So, my turn to get an autograph- I asked how she managed to get through the filming of the Shaving scene-
She laughed, said it was a really hard scene to film- partly because she had never shaved a guy before, & then her & Steve kept laughing. I said- well, if Steve laughed & you ended up nic-ing him, that wouldn't have been good.
She laughed again & explained how the director was telling her how to shave, & "do it this way & look sexy" (she kept laughing at herself about this!), & then turned to me & Amanda- Mary & Ginger- saying did it? how did it look?
I said it turned out just fine! & That they didn't use a real razor. I further commented that Courtney & Jason certainly have a pretty Big Bathroom for their loft!
she laughed & went on to say coming up they wanted her to tie Jason's tie for Benny's funeral- & again, she's never done a guy's tie before- her boyfriend is a skater & does weird ties, so she joked with them to stop having her do these things she doesn't know how to do- like shave a guy & do ties.
Since she had joked about the Stripping & dancing with a pole earlier- I added in- & swing around poles?
ALW laughed & said- Yes! exactly!
The Journey fans we were with presented her a Framed tribute & congrats for her Emmy nom- & ALW was just bowled over & couldn't have been nicer!!
