Sonny's attempt to come between Courtney and Jason continues to cause him nothing but trouble this week on General Hospital, with his sister, wife and best friend all giving him grief for trying to stand in the way of true love. What Courtney fails to realize is that her brother wants nothing more than to keep her safe from the dangerous lifestyle he and Jason thrive upon.

"Of course she doesn't think about that," says Alicia Leigh Willis of her character’s rather naive outlook. "Nothing has happened yet where she's been in danger because of Jason." In fact, points out Willis, just the opposite has proven true. "She was in danger from AJ and the stalker, and Jason saved her. Even though he's surrounded by danger, she feels like he could protect her. She has probably felt safer with him than she has with anyone in her entire life. In a way, every relationship she's had, whether with her father, her mother or AJ, she's had to take care of them in some way. Now, instead of her taking care of someone, it's reversed.

And while Sonny may not be pleased to hear it, his little sister has grown up a lot since arrving in town, and she isn't about to let him push her into a corner, let alone out of love with Jason. "When she came to Port Charles, with everything she went through in a matter of a few weeks, she was looking for any kind of connection with anyone," shares Willis. "What she went through with AJ kind of blinded her. Now, she's getting back to her real self where she's a street-smart kid, like 'I'm not putting up with this crap anymore!' She's wishing up a lot. She can handle herself. And I think how she's going to behave will surprise people!"
