Their romance may have been born under a dark cloud, but dang if Jason and Courtney haven't made the best of it. (By now, they probably consider it "mood lighting.") Once they extricated Courtney from her dead-end marriage to Jason's half brother, A.J., and overcame the objections of the Mob enforcer's boss – Courtney's hyperprotective half brother, Sonny – the trouble really began.  There were bullets flying, jealousies raging, a wedding that was called off on account of the matron of honor's regularly scheduled kidnapping – the works.  When the would-be bride was later the victim of a kidnapping of her very own, she wound up losing the child Jason hadn't even been aware that they'd conceived.  Miraculously, in the end love still won out: The couple exchanged vows in France. Sure, the honeymoon was officially over when Sonny moved in, but they'll be okay. They have to be. They're what keeps romantics everywhere hopeful.
