A/N: To all my readers (especially Lauren) I am so sorry that it took me so long to get this chapter out, but I unexpectedly got sick (for about 1 week I had the flu). I apologize…I’m SORRY! Courtney felt herself start to blush. Thank God it was only Carly, not Sonny that had caught them.

“Well you two looked busy so I’ll let you get back to …whatever you were doing,” Carly said.

“Nothing was going on Carly,” Jason said as he tried to keep a straight face. Truth was he was mad at Carly. He had really wanted to kiss Courtney…and so much more, but Carly had interrupted. He also didn’t want to be bothered by her questions that he knew she would ask him later.

“Yeah right. Whatever you say Jason. By the way, I don’t exactly suggest an elevator for your little um…rendezvous. What if I had been Sonny?”

“Please don’t tell Sonny about this,” Courtney instantly pleaded. She could only imagine what his reaction would be.

“What are you talking about. I didn’t see anything,” Carly replied as she walked away laughing, “but I can’t lie to Sonny forever,” she finished then she stepped inside the penthouse and shut the door.

“I can’t believe that just happened. I am so embarrassed,” Courtney said as they walked off the elevator and towards the penthouse..

“You shouldn’t be. I’m the one she’s going to be asking questions to?” Jason said. He could only imagine what Carly would ask.

Courtney and Jason walked into the penthouse.

“Courtney I’m sorry about what happened. It shouldn’t-” he was cut off by Courtney as she kissed him.

Jason tried to pull away knowing where it could lead, but he just couldn’t find it in him to pull away. She was just too irresistible to him.

Jason found himself exploring her mouth with his tongue as he placed his hands on her skin that was exposed between her shirt and jeans. She wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him deeper into their kiss. Their kiss was filled with passion, hunger, desire,…and love. Somehow Jason managed to break away for a minute.

He was about to suggest they stop but when he looked into her blue eyes he got easily lost in them. He saw what she wanted when he looked into her eyes and he just couldn’t deny her. No woman ever had this much power over him and it scared him a little.

“I don’t want to stop,” he whispered between the kisses he placed on her lips, neck, and behind her ear.

“Then don‘t,” she whispered back. The feelings she got as she felt his lips and tongue on her skin were indescribable. He brought out desires and emotions she never even knew she had. She threw her head back allowing him more access to her as he continued to place kisses along her jaw line and down her neck. Suddenly he stopped.

“Are you sure?” he asked

Jason pulled her closer to him and kissed her wildly. His hand slid underneath her shirt and began feeling over her smooth, flat stomach. He then took her hand in his and led him to his bedroom.

Once they were inside of his room he began kissing her again but this time it was more tender, sensual, and slow. He wanted to take his time with her. He stepped back a little and slowly undid the buttons to her shirt while he looked her blue eyes. He removed her shirt and began placing kisses on her.

Now it was Courtney’s turn. She pulled Jason’s shirt over his head and threw it on the floor. She gently placed kisses on his chest and over his perfect washboard abs. Finally their lips met again. He gently pushed her back onto his bed. The silk sheets felt cool against her skin as she prepared for what was to come….

Jason slowly opened his eyes and looked over at the heavenly creature sleeping next to him. He slid closer to her and gently kissed her forehead. For the first time in a very long time he felt happy and alive. It was all because of the women sleeping next to him. He felt her stir a little before she opened her eyes. Their eyes met and they smiled at each other. They laid together wrapped in each other’s embrace for a few moments. Then Courtney looked at the clock.

“I have to get ready to go to work,” Courtney said as she got up and threw her jeans and her shirt on.

“ok. I have a meeting, but it’s not for another couple of hours. Did you want me to walk you to Kelly’s?”

“No, go back to sleep,” she said as she leaned over the bed and kissed him.

“I guess I’ll see you tonight,” he asked more of a question than a statement.

“Yeah,” she said as she started to get back up, but Jason pulled her back down and flipped so he had her pinned on the bed. He kissed her again and again. He just couldn’t seem to get enough of her.

“Jason…I really have to go,” she reluctantly stated.

“I’ll see you later,” she said as she exited the bedroom and headed towards the shower.

When she was gone Jason laid in bed thinking. He had never felt like this before. She did something to him that she couldn’t explain. He also knew that their relationship was dangerous. She could easily get in hurt because of his lifestyle and he didn’t exactly think that Sonny would be thrilled about their relationship. But none of that seem to matter at that point. All he could do was think about her and hope that everything would work out.

Courtney was walking on her way to Kelly’s. She couldn’t help but smiling. Last night was incredible. No one ever made her feel like Jason did. She felt alive, happy, and so much more. But her joy was cut short as she heard a familiar voice behind her.

“Courtney,” said the voice.

Courtney sighed, but she stopped walking.

“What do you want AJ?” she asked without even bothering to turn and look at him. Before she realized it he was standing in front of her.

“I want you Courtney. I am so sorry,” he said almost sounding like he meant it.

“I don’t want to hear your apologies AJ. They mean nothing to me. Go away and stay the hell away from me,” she said anger rising her voice. She looked a the man that she had once had to call her husband, and disgust filled her. Disgust for him and for herself. At one time she would have listened to what he had to stay and probably would have forgiven him like she had so many times before because she was weak. She had finally realized who AJ truly was and she was not about to listen to him. She wanted nothing to do with him. He had hurt her too many times and she had had enough. She was no longer going to be his punching bag or pretend to be the happy, faithful little wife.

“Courtney please just listen to what I have to say,” he said as he reached out and tried to touch her.

Courtney slapped his hand away.

Stronger than yesterday

“No you listen to me AJ. I’m not going to listen to a damn thing you have to say. I am so sick of you and your bullsh*t. I gave up everything and everyone that really cared about me just to be with you. You had me blinded but now everything is clear. You hurt me again and again and again and I forgave you, but no more. Night after night you came home drunk, verbally and physically abused me and I was stupid enough to put up with it. But I’m not the same naļve girl I used to beI want nothing to do with you. So save your apologies and words for someone as pathetic as you,” she said with determination, pride, and anger as she walked away actually leaving AJ speechless.

Here I go, on my own

As smile spread across her face as she kept on walking. She finally had the courage to stand up to him. She was no longer the naļve, lonely, little girl that she was once was. She was now a strong woman.
