Where I Belong

Chapter Eight

When Courtney woke the next morning, she realized she

was sleeping in Jason’s warm embrace. She smiled to

herself as she looked up at his still sleeping form.

She wanted to just stay there for as long as possible,

but she knew she had to leave if she was going to make

the breakfast shift at Kelly’s. Reluctantly, she eased

herself out of his arms and began to gather her

things. Courtney placed a soft kiss on his lips before

leaving for Kelly’s. By the time she got there, she

only had time to change clothes before her shift.

Elizabeth ran into her as Courtney was pulling her

long blonde hair up into a quick ponytail.

“Someone must have had a long night last night,”

Elizabeth smirked as she put away her things.

Courtney sighed heavily, “Good morning Elizabeth.”

“Not talking, huh?”

“What do you expect me to say? We aren’t exactly best

friends, so I know you don’t expect me to tell you

everything that happens to me when I’m away from

Kelly’s.”

“Someone’s cranky.”

“I’m not cranky. I’d just appreciate it if you minded

your own business,” Courtney turned and headed out to

wait on the first of their customers. About an hour

into her shift, the man who had won over her heart

walked through the door. She looked up from the

counter, a smile immediately spreading across her face

the moment she met his eyes. “Good morning,” she

leaned over the counter to place a soft kiss on his

lips. He smiled up at her, gentling brushing a stray

lock of hair from her face.

“I missed you when I woke up this morning.”

“I wish I could have stayed, but as you can see I had

to work this morning.”

“How’s it going so far?”

“Okay, except Liz over there was trying to act all

nice to get me to tell her what I did last night.”

“She’s always been rather nosy.”

“Obviously,” Courtney glanced over towards Elizabeth

who was staring at them intently. “See, even now she’s

staring at us. Why can’t she just mind your own

business?”

“Who cares about her? All I want to do is be with you.

I don’t care what anyone else sees or thinks about

it.”

Courtney blushed slightly, “Really?”

“What do you think?” Jason placed his finger under her

chin to pull her in for another sweet kiss. Courtney

sighed wistfully as she let herself get lost in his

kiss. Everything in that moment was absolutely

perfect.

“Get a room,” Elizabeth mumbled as she walked past

them. They laughed softly to themselves as they slowly

pulled away from each other.

“I better get back to my tables or I might not have a

job.”

“I have to get going actually. I just wanted to stop

in and say good morning.”

“I’m glad you did.”

“Will I see you tonight?”

“Do you want to see me?”

Jason chuckled softly, “I wouldn’t have asked if I

didn’t.”

Courtney smiled, pulling him close for a hug. “I can’t

wait for tonight.”

“Me too. I’ll see you around seven?”

“Sounds good. Bye Jason.”

“Bye,” he gave her another quick kiss before heading

out the door. Once Jason was gone, she turned and

headed back to take care of her tables, trying her

best to ignore Elizabeth.

Courtney’s shift was almost over when Carly and

Michael walked in. They waved over at her as they took

a seat at one of the tables.

“Hey guys,” Courtney smiled as she approached their

table.

“Hey Court, remember Michael? I think you two met

briefly when you came over for dinner a couple nights

ago.”

“Sure I do. Who could forget meeting such a handsome

young man.” Michael blushed and smiled shyly. “Hi

Michael.”

“Hey.”

“What can I get for you guys?”

“I think Michael wants some chocolate ice cream. I’ll

just have coffee.”

“Sure thing. I’ll be right back.” Minutes later,

Courtney returned with a bowl of ice cream for Michael

and Carly’s coffee. “So, what are you two up to

today?”

“I’m going to take Michael to my mom’s, then I have a

nice dinner planned for Sonny and I. What about you?”

“I’m working,” she tried to avoid her pointed

question, but Carly wasn’t going to let it go.

“Michael honey, will you go to the counter to eat your

ice cream so I can talk to Courtney for a minute?”

Carly asked sweetly. Once Michael was gone, she turned

her attention back to Courtney, “Come on Court. How

did it go last night?”

Courtney sighed heavily, “He’s so amazing. We had a

great time last night. I’m meeting him again tonight.”

“Really?”

She nodded, “I can’t believe I feel this way about him

and I barely know him.”

“I truly believe in love at first sight. I think

that’s the way it is was for you and Jason.” Carly

paused for a moment, a sly smile spreading across her

face. “Have you guys….you know….yet?”

Courtney laughed nervously, “No. We don’t want to rush

it.”

“I know you two really care about each other. Why are

you waiting?”

“Carly I just don’t rush into…..that with someone I

just met.”

“Oh please! Come on Court, I know you’re falling for

Jason.”

“How do you know that?” she asked, her eyes growing

wide in surprise.

“I can see it in your eyes. There’s absolutely nothing

wrong with sharing yourself with someone you feel that

way about.”

“I know, it’s just…..part of me is afraid that I won’t

live up to his expectations. I haven’t really had much

experience in that department.”

“You’re kidding me right?”

“No I’m not. I’ve only been with one man in my life.

I’m just afraid that with his experience I’ll be a

disappointment.”

“You’re being paranoid. I’m sure everything would be

great.”

“That’s easy for you to say.”

“Well I know from….previous experience that Jason can

be very considerate and sweet in that department.”

Courtney looked down for a moment, “Yeah Jason told me

about you two.”

“Please don’t be upset. That was a very long time

ago.”

“I’m not upset, just a little jealous I guess.”

“Well, there’s nothing for you to be jealous over.

What we had was nothing compared to what I see

happening between you two now. Don’t get me wrong.

Jason and I have a wonderful friendship, but we both

know it couldn’t ever be anything more.”

“I know you two are only friends. I see how in love

you and Sonny are. I guess I’m just scared.”

“Have you talked to Jason about it?”

“No!” she exclaimed. “How could I possibly bring that

up?”

“Next time things get…..heated you can bring it up.”

Courtney sighed heavily, “I guess you’re right. I just

need to talk to him about it.”

“I know I’m right. I’m always right,” Carly grinned.

Courtney laughed softly.

“I have to get back to my shift. Enjoy your dinner

with Sonny tonight.”

“I will. You enjoy your evening with Jason.”

“I will. See you later Carly.”

Courtney arrived at Jason’s apartment right at seven.

This time he had dinner ready for her when she got

there. Of course it was Chinese food he had delivered,

but that didn’t matter to her. It was the thought that

counts. After they ate dinner, they sat back down on

the couch. Before long, they were kissing and

caressing each other. They both knew if they didn’t

stop soon, they wouldn’t be able to. Courtney pulled

away slowly, leaving Jason very confused.

“Is something wrong?”

“I really want to be with you….” her voice trailed

off.

“But?”

“I just feel like I should tell you something before

we go any further.”

“Okay.”

“I’ve only ever been with one guy. His name was

Christian, and he was my first boyfriend, my first

love.”

“Is he still in your life?” Jason asked, afraid she

was going to tell him she was still in love with him.

“Oh, no. I just wanted you to know that I’m not

really…..experienced when it comes to sex. I don’t

want you to be disappointed.”

Jason smiled down at her, gently caressing her face.

“I appreciate you telling me, but there’s nothing

about you that disappoints me.”

“You always say the right things you know that?”

“That’s the first time anyone’s ever told me that.”

“I don’t want to freak you out or anything. I mean I

know we just started seeing each other, but I care so

much about you already Jason. I just want you to know

that.”

“I really care about you too.”

She pulled him close to her, “Make love to me Jason.”

She reached up, gently brushing her lips across his.

Jason slowly stood, pulled her to her feet, then swept

her into his strong embrace before carrying her up to

his bedroom. Once they were upstairs, Jason gently set

her down before crushing her lips with his once more.

Courtney’s hands began to do some exploring as they

made their way underneath his shirt, pushing it up and

over his head. Jason’s hands began to caress her

breasts, causing Courtney to moan and arch beneath his

touch. She felt as if her body was on fire. No one had

ever made her feel this way before. It had been a long

time since she had been with Christian, but she knew

what she felt then was nothing compared to the

feelings Jason was bringing out in her. She began to

get impatient. Courtney worked furiously to try to

remove their clothes, but Jason stopped her.

“Let’s slow down, okay. I want this to be special.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t apologize. Tonight is going to be wonderful,”

he smiled down at her before kissing her again. Jason

slowly unbuttoned her shirt, pushing it off her

shoulders. He ran his finger along the lace of her

bra, watching her chest heave as she tried to breathe

normal. He leaned forward, kissing the tops of her

breasts as he slid the straps from her shoulders.

Jason could see her nipples harden through the lace

bra she wore. He knew what he was doing to her and he

loved it. Suddenly she felt the bra tighten before it

went slack and fell to the floor with her shirt. Jason

could tell she was a little self conscious of her

nudity when she attempted to cover herself.

“Don’t…..you’re so beautiful.” She blushed, looked

away for a moment, then met his blue gaze once more.

She could see the desire he had for her burning in his

eyes. Surprising even herself, her small hands began

to remove his jeans from his lean frame. She gasped in

shock when she saw his obvious arousal, but the shock

faded to satisfaction at the fact that she did that to

him. Enjoying her new found confidence, she slowly

began to stroke him making him quiver beneath her

hands. He couldn’t take it anymore. He pushed her back

onto the bed, quickly removing the last barrier

between them. Jason crawled up her body, placing wet

kisses all over her flushed flesh. His mouth covered

her nipple, causing her to arch beneath him. He paid

the same attention to her other breast before finding

her lips once more. Jason knew she was ready for him

and he was more than ready for her. He entered her

quickly and remained still for her to adjust to his

size. Once she began to writhe beneath him, he slowly

began moving his hips. They found their perfect rhythm

together, meeting thrust for thrust. Courtney felt her

orgasm begin to burn deep within her core. She knew it

wouldn’t be long before she fell over the edge. Jason

could feel Courtney’s nails dig deeper into his back,

letting him know that it wouldn’t be long before she

climaxed. He began to move faster and faster, wanting

them to find their release together. Almost as soon as

her orgasm hit, he followed her over the edge. They

lay there afterward, both trying to come down from the

intensity of their orgasm. Jason rolled off her, then

pulled her into his arms. Courtney lay her head on his

shoulder, a big smile on her face.

“That was amazing,” she whispered.

“Yes it was.”

“Was it really or are you just saying that?”

“I’m just saying that to make you feel better,” he

joked, earning him a punch in the chest. He chuckled

softly, “Of course I meant it. Being with you was the

most incredible experience I’ve ever had Courtney.”

Tears burned in her eyes as she looked at him. She

could see he was truly sincere.

“Thank you. I feel the same way about you.”

“Will you stay here with me tonight?”

“I don’t think you’d be able to get rid of me,” she

kissed him softly before settling into his arms and

falling into a deep sleep. He lay there afterwards

simply watching her. He remembered she had told him

her reason for coming to Port Charles was to find her

father. Jason decided if he had anything to say about

it she’d be reunited with her father very soon.
