Chapter 20
Penthouse 4
"Hey Sonny" Jason said as he walked in.

"Hey, we have a problem." Sonny said.

"What is it?"

"Guess who’s back in town to take us down?"

"Who?" Jason asked.

"Ric" Sonny said.

"But I thought that he left for good after Liz filed for divorce like almost a year ago, even before Courtney was kidnapped."

"Me too, but I guess this whole time he was just figuring out a plan to get us."

"I guess you’re right."

"I want you to get all the information you can."

"I will but I cant do it right now. Give me an hour and then I will."

"Why cant you start now?"

"Courtney has an appointment with Dr. Meadows and I promised I’d go with her."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Fine, start as soon as you’re done at the hospital. Take Max with you so he can bring Courtney home and you can leave from the hospital. Ok?"

"Yeah"

"By the way, I don’t want either Carly or Courtney knowing about this."

"I know, me too." Jason said as he left.

The hospital
Courtney and Jason were waiting for Dr. Meadows to come in.

"What’s wrong?" Courtney asked Jason.

"Nothing at all." he answered.

"You’re lying"

"No I’m not, can we just drop this. I promise you I’m fine."

"Fine, I’ll drop it since I have a feeling that it has to do with work."

Dr. Meadows walked in.

"Hello" she said.

"Hi" Jason and Courtney said.

"How’s the mom-to-be feeling?" Dr. Meadows asked.

"I’m feeling as good as a pregnant woman should feel."

"That’s good. Are you guys ready to see your baby for the first time?"

"You bet" Courtney said.

"There’s the head and the baby’s arms and legs." Dr. Meadows said as she pointed to each body part on the screen.

"Jason can you believe that, that is our baby?" Courtney said.

"Its our miracle baby." Jason said as he kissed Courtney.

"Do you want to know the sex of the baby?"

"Whatever Courtney wants." Jason said.

"No, I want to be surprised. There aren’t enough good surprises in life." Courtney said.

"Ok, well your baby is doing just fine but you really need to take it easy. Because of what happened in South America and you being pushed out a window, this is a  very high-risk pregnancy so you need to stay stress free no matter what. Ok?"

"Don’t worry I’ll make sure that she takes good care of herself and that she wont get stressed out." Jason said.

"Ok. Well here is a picture of your baby and before you go you just need to make an appointment for next month." Dr. Meadows said as she left.

"Thanks" Courtney and Jason said.

"Max is going to take you home." Jason said.

"Why? I thought you could take me home and we could relax together."

"Well Sonny needs me to do something very important for work. I’ll see you when I get home in a little bit." Jason said as he kissed his wife goodbye.

"Fine, bye" Courtney said after him.

Penthouse 2
It was almost 11p.m. and Jason still hadn’t come home.
‘Where could he be?’ Courtney asked herself.

Just then a brick came through the window. Courtney screamed.

Penthouse 4
Carly was sitting on the couch waiting for Sonny to come home when she heard a terrifying scream come from Jason and Courtney’s place.

‘What the heck was that.’ she thought as she ran next door.

Penthouse 2
Courtney froze as she stared at the broken window and brick that lay on her floor. Just then she heard the door open and  saw Max, Sean and Carly come running in.

"Sweetie, what’s wrong?" Carly said as she saw the brick.

Sean walked over to it and picked it up.
"This is only the beginning." he read.
