Note: This is my first fanfic, so please stick with me, and if you read it, please leave feedback, even if it is to tell me if I should do something better, or to tell me that you don't even like my story. This is taking place around December, and Brian is in this story, (only because I needed him in it, I hate Brian, and if I had it my way, he would have never even existed on the show) Sonny and Carly are in the middle of a custody battle, and Sonny is sleeping with Sam, and Carly is sleeping with Lorenzo. And I know that Courtney didn't put her rings on a necklace until after the fire, but since this story is taking place in December, she put them on the night she left. Sonny never shot Carly in the head. Also, sorry in advance to all of the Carly fans out there, I really don't like her anymore, so if I portray her kind of badly, I apologize. And I am not sure if he will be in the story, but if Edward is, he will be portrayed as John Ingle. I think that is about all I have to say, sorry for rambling.

Jason Morgan stood on the docks, staring down at the water, thinking about how much everything was messed up. His wife left him, and is now working at Kelly's again, and worst of all, she is living right next to a man, who has tried his best to ruin their marriage, every time he and Courtney were about to come to an understanding, he shows up. From the beginning, he didn't like Brian, but decided to leave it alone, for Courtney, but sometimes he would catch Brian looking at Courtney, like he was obsessed with her. He knew Brian was just using Courtney to get information on him and Sonny, and the normal thing to do to an enemy, was to eliminate them. But he knew if he were to kill Brian, it would just lessen the chances of him and Courtney getting their marriage back on track, if there even was a chance left. With one last look at the water, he turned around and headed back towards his penthouse, it used to be their home, but now it was his home, it didn't even seem like a home without her there, it was just a place to go, when he wasn't working.

Courtney Morgan walked around the small diner, wiping off all the tables, and putting up the chairs, she hated being the one to close Kelly's, but it is her night. Nobody is there, except for her, not even any of the tenants that lived above Kelly's are there, they are all out with their friends or family, enjoying their life and having a great time. Courtney used to enjoy her life, and everyday was a fresh new start, but not since she moved out of the penthouse.  There is only one person that lives at Kelly's that she can't stand, Brian, sometimes she regretted that she ever went to Hayes Landing in the first place. He crept her out, whenever she was working he would just sit at a table and stare at her, and not to mention, every time she was close to reconciling with Jason, he would interrupt.

"Finally, the last table," she sighed, as she put the chair up on the table. Courtney took off her apron and was headed toward the door to lock it when Brian walked through, ‘dammit, I was so close' Courtney silently cursed to herself.

"Hey Court," Brian said a little too cheerfully, and in an obsessed way. Courtney just rolled her eyes, and headed toward the stairs, forgetting to lock the door. "Well aren't you going to say hi, Courtney?" Brian asked, as he followed her toward the stairs, trying to keep his anger under control, Courtney wasn't talking to him, and it was because of her criminal husband, Jason Morgan.

Courtney turned around, and looked at Brian, "Brian, we aren't friends, and why would I say hi to someone who pretty much hates everybody in my family, and someone who is just using me to pump information out of me, about my brother, and MY HUSBAND," she yelled, turning around, and continuing back up the steps, to where she now lived.

Brian's anger, and jealousy soared through him, "Dammit Courtney, Jason isn't your husband, you moved out, because you couldn't handle his job, you don't have to let them control your life anymore!" he yelled, as he followed her up to her door.

"Jason IS my husband, we are still married, and we are working on our relationship. So face it Brian, I don't want to be with you, I want to be with Jason, MY HUSBAND. So mind your own damn business, and stay out of my life!" Courtney yelled, as she stomped into her room, and turned to shut the door in his face, but before it clicked, Brian shoved it back open.

"I don't think so Courtney!" Brian yelled, barging into her room, losing control of his anger, and jealousy. Courtney is gonna be his, not Jason's. "I have tried to wait, and remain calm and understanding, knowing that you would eventually be free of Jason, and then we could be together, but no, you have to make it difficult!" he grabbed a hold of Courtney's arm, and slammed the door shut.

Fear ran through Courtney, she knew Brain liked her, but she didn't know he was obsessed with her. She knew what he is going to do, but she didn't want to believe it, she started to fight back, she yanked her arm from his grip, "Let go of me! You sick freak!" she shoved him to the ground, and ran to the door, right when her fingers touched the handle, he pulled her back.

"That was a big mistake Courtney!" Brian yelled, as he threw  her down on the bed, when she hit the bed, her necklace with her wedding rings on it, fell out of her shirt, which Brian immediately noticed, making him even more angry, that she still wore her wedding rings. Courtney's gaze traveled, to where Brian's gaze, is resting, she tried to put it back under her shirt, but it was too late. Brian leaned forward, and yanked the necklace off, causing Courtney to cry out in pain. "Shut up!" he yelled, as he smacked her.

"Brian don't, please" she begged, knowing that it wasn't going to stop Brian from doing what he is getting ready to do.

The elevator door sounded as it opened up to the 25th floor, Jason slowly walked off the elevator, he stopped and looked at penthouse 4, he was expecting Carly to walk out and ask him where he has been. But that Carly didn't exist anymore, the Carly he knew wouldn't go and sleep with the man that held her and her best friend hostage, and the man that killed his and Courtney's child, and possibly prevented them from ever having kids. But then again, there was Sonny, he didn't know Sonny anymore, the guy who was willing to always put his kids first, is putting them in the middle just to get Carly back. Everything in his life seemed to be falling apart, little did he know it was about to get worse.

Jason turned around, and headed to his penthouse, he walked in and closed the door, his eyes landing on the first thing it always lands on, the picture of his and Courtney's wedding day. ‘God she is beautiful' he thought to himself. He stared at the picture of one of the happiest days of his life for a few more seconds, before continuing towards the stairs, where his lonely cold bed lay.

A few hours later, Bobbie Spencer is walking down the street, on her way home, she is walking past Kelly's, and she sees that lights are still on. She tries the door, and discovers that it is unlocked, then she remembered that tonight was Courtney's night to lock up. Right away she knew that something was wrong, because is always responsible. She went upstairs, where she saw th door to Courtney's room is open, she hesitantly walked into Courtney's room. "Oh My God,"she whispered.
