Summary: Sonny and Carly are married with Micheal(age6) and Morgan( daughter-age3). Courtney is Sonny’s sister and Jason is Carly’s best friend and Sonny’s right hand man. Courtney’s marriage and divorce to AJ happened as on the show as did Jason’s accident and the mob connections. A few characters are mentioned throughout the story but the focus is 2 days before Christmas ... Courtney left Port Charles almost a year ago stating the need to be on her own. Neither Sonny or Carly understood but respected her decision. Jason has been very busy with the business as Sony has taken some time off to spend with his family. Story picks up as I said 2 days before Christmas Dec.23

The bus pulled into the Port Charles depot and as she stepped down the cool air hit her face and reality set in. I am actually home she thought zipping her jacket up around the bundle snuggled into her chest.

“Hey Courtney” a familiar voice yelled across the parking lot.

“Hey Carly” Courtney yelled back as they made they way to each other and hugged.

“What the? Carly asked looking at Courtney in surprise.

Courtney zipped her jacket down and with a smile on her face said: “ Carly, I’d like you to meet your niece, my daughter Emma. Emma this is your Aunt Carly. When I left I was a month pregnant. I didn’t tell you or Sonny because I needed to do this on my own. There was a guy I had been seeing and after all the mess with AJ I knew you guys would be overprotective so I wanted to keep it to myself to see where it would lead but it didn’t work out. I found out I was pregnant after we decided to end it and I could not tell him and have him stay out of obligation. So thats when I decided to leave town and deal with it on my own. Carly it was hard and I was scared but I am so much better for it. I wanted to tell you guys but waited til I thought the time was right. But enough of that I’m home and happy to be spending Christmas with my family.

“Oh my gosh Courtney. I don’t know what to say. I am so sorry I wasn’t there for you but I am so happy you are here. I can’t believe I am an aunt.”....Carly said and hugged Courtney again.

“Well I hope my brother feels the same way “ Courtney said with hesitation.

“ Courtney, I know Sonny was upset that you left but he is tickled you are here for the holidays and I know once the initial shock wears off he will be as happy to have a new member in the family as I am.”

“Speaking of family how are Michael and Morgan ? I have missed them so much. And how is Jason doing? Courtney asked.

“Well The kids are great and growing up so fast and they are so excited to have their Aunt Courtney home to spend time with. Jason has been so busy with work since Sonny took some time off that we hardly ever see him anymore. To be honest I feel like I lost both my sister-in-law as well as my best friend this year. Don’t get me wrong I love Jason but he’s been so scarce of late. He’s been on the Island a lot and when he does come home he does drop by to see the kids but its not the same as it use to be. But enough of that you are here and we are going to have a wonderful holiday.”

“I hope you kept Morgan’s baby stuff because I could use a cradle for this little darling...”

“Of course I did and when we get home I’ll have Max get it out of the storage closet and set it up in the guest room for you”

“ That would be great Carly” Courtney said as they headed home.

“Hey Sonny we’re home” Carly yelled as they came through the door.

“Mommy, Aunt Courtney” Michael and Morgan echoed in unison as they ran to hug Courtney.

“Michael, where’s Daddy? Carly asked.

“He’s across the hall talking to Jason. Letica is here with us. Hey who’s that? Michael asked pointing to Emma.

“This is your cousin Emma” Courtney replied taking Emma’s snowsuit off revealing a beautiful little girl with light hair and beautiful blue eyes. Emma let out a squeal which made Michael and Morgan giggle.

“Michael, when did Jason get home” Carly asked .Looking at Courtney she continued “ Jason wasn’t sure he was going to get home for Christmas.”

Courtney nodded and then excused herself to say she was taking Emma upstairs to change and feed her and would be back in a few minutes.

‘Aunt Courtney , Daddy said when you got here we could all go out and get a tree.” Michael said excitedly.

Carly cut in “Well Michael lets wait til Daddy comes home. Maybe Aunt Courtney could stay here with Emma and Morgan and you and daddy and I could get the tree and when we come home we can all decorate it and have some hot chocolate and cookies. I think Aunt Courtney might be a little tired. OK?”

“OK “ Michael replied “That would be cool”

Courtney went upstairs with Emma and Michael and Morgan tagged along fascinated with their new cousin.. A few minutes later the door to the penthouse opens and in walks Sonny .

“Hey” he said leaning over to kiss Carly “ Did Courtney make it home ok?

“Hey yourself” Carly says “And yes they arrived safe and sound.”

“They? Sonny looks at Carly as his temper started to raise.

“Now Sonny, Relax! Carly started to warn him but was interrupted by Sonny’s angry voice -

“Don’t tell me to Relax...My sister goes away with no explanation and comes back to spend the holidays with her family , the least she could do was come alone and not bring someone we have never met”

“Sonny, lower your voice” Carly said at the same time Courtney’s voice interrupted: “Yeah Sonny , lower your voice you are going to wake the baby”

“Baby! What Baby ? Sonny stuttered as Courtney appeared down the stairs with Emma in her arms. “ Courtney? Sonny continued as he fell into the chair -blood draining from his face. After a few seconds he stood up and walked over to his sister.

“Emma” Courtney said “Meet my big brother and your very overprotective Uncle Sonny.” “Sonny meet your niece and my daughter Emma.”

Sonny looked from Emma to Courtney to Carly just as Michael and Morgan came running down the stairs.

“Daddy” Michael yelled “Mama said we could go and get the tree as soon as you got home. Aunt Courtney is going to stay with Morgan and Emma.”

“I’ll explain everything later “Carly turned to Sonny grabbing his hand and pulling him to the door.

“OK lets go” Sonny said leaning over to give Morgan a kiss. He then hugged Courtney and said- “Its good to have you home sis, both of you. We’ll catch up later.”

An hour had passed and Courtney had bathed Emma with Morgan’s help and after feeding her put her down for a nap in the cradle that Max had assembled. Then she and Morgan went downstairs to read a Christmas story. Before long Morgan fell asleep in Courtney’s arms and knowing she could hear Emma through the baby monitor she closed her eyes to rest after the exhausting day she had put in. She did not hear the door to the penthouse open and then close and both were still napping when Michael burst through the door all excited.

“Aunt Courtney, Morgan, Wake up..you have to see the tree we got” Michael said out of breath.

Just then Sonny and Max dragged the biggest tree Courtney had ever seen with Carly right behind them giving orders where to put it.

“Wow Michael its great” Courtney said.”Let me go check on Emma and then we can start the decorating”

The evening passed with Christmas music playing and the sound of Michael and Morgan laughing and munching on cookies. Courtney, Carly and Sonny got caught up on the news while Emma sat in Morgan’s baby swing looking around.

“So how’s Jase?” Carly asked Sonny “ Does he know Courtney is here?”

“Jason is OK. He’s tired from all the travelling and work but glad to be home for a few days. And yes I told him Courtney was coming home for the holidays. I also told him I expect him here tomorrow night and Christmas morning just like old times “

“Did he say yes?” Courtney asked.

“Of course - why wouldn’t he?” Sonny answered .He knows what it means to the kids especially Michael to have him here. Its going to be fun everyone together again. And with one addition which I am sure will come as a surprise to him.”

“But I am sure he will be as good to Emma as he is with Michael and Morgan. Uncle duty seems to come so easy to him” Carly said.

With that Courtney said “Well its getting late and I’m so exhausted from the travel and events of the day that I am going to say Good night . Emma’s up 2-3 times through the night to feed so I hope she won’t disturb you.”

Carly and Sonny looked at each other and laughed and Courtney realized they’ve been through this twice already. Standing up Carly hugged Courtney and again told her how happy she was to have her home. Then looking at her own “ OK kids, it’s time for bed. You got to stay up later because it was a special night but tomorrow night Santa comes so we have to get rested...Give your Daddy a kiss and hug and then I’ll read you both a story. “

“Night Daddy” Michael hugged Sonny “Night Daddy” Morgan struggled to climb up on Sonny’s lap for a kiss and hug. Carly leaned over to kiss Sonny and whispered in his ear “ I’ll be down in a few minutes so get ready mister” as she winked and swooped Morgan up into her arms. Sonny smiled and Courtney watched with pain in her heart realizing what she was missing before climbing the stairs with her precious daughter snuggled close to her.

Chapter 4 :

Courtney woke to Emma’s gooing in her cradle. She was the one thing that made Courtney smile and feel so much love. “ Good Morning Angel” she said just as a knock came on the door. Carly popped her head in “ How did you sleep?’ she asked. “Just great” Courtney replied “Hey Carly, do you think you could watch Emma for me for a couple of hours. I have a bit of last minute shopping to do.

“I’d love to spend some time with my niece. Letica is taking Michael and Morgan to see Santa and sonny is doing his shopping so it would be fun. Take as long as you need” Carly said.

Courtney bathed and dressed Emm and then fed her. After getting herself ready and making sure Emma was all set she headed to town. Her first stop was at a toy shop to pick up a model plane for Michael. After seeing his room she finally had an idea of what to get him. Then she headed to Kellys for a cup of herbal tea and to see if Bobby was working . She always liked Bobby and wanted to say Hi. Instead when she opened the door she came face to face with Elizabeth. Although time had passed she was still angry at hearing from Carly the misery Elizabeth had brought to Sonny and Jason by trying to have them arrested for what she thought was them pushing drugs when in fact they were destroying them.

“Hello Elizabeth” she said with reservation.

“Hello Courtney - Home for the holidays?” Elizabeth asked with a smerk on her face.

“Yes I am “ and not wanting to reveal anymore info she took her tea and left.

She ended up at the docks and sat to enjoy the beautiful crisp winter day and drink her tea. Unaware she was being watched her thoughts drifted to happier times when she would sit there for hours close to the love of her life. If only things had been different... maybe if she had been honest ....But in spite of all the heartache she had Emma - a part of him - a reminder of the love they once shared. A noise startled her back into reality. Brushing the tears off her cheeks she turned to see who was there.. No one.... With that she got up and continued her errands looking forward to the night ahead. Arriving home a short time later she found Emma was napping so she sat to chat with Carly.

“You know that Bobby and Mike are coming this evening also” Carly said

Courtney looked up with fear on her face “ But Carly, Dad doesn’t know about Emma yet.”

“Well tonight’s the perfect time . It will be OK Courtney. You know all that Mike ever wanted for you was to be happy.”

“ I know - it’s just” ....Courtney started to say something but a knock on the door interrupted her.

Both looked up to see Jason...” Hey Jase” Carly said....”Hey” Jason replied.

Courtney looked at him and smiled “ Hi Jason - Its been awhile”

“Yes it has.. Good to see you. How have you been? Jason asked quietly.

“ I’m doing OK. Nice to be home for the holidays. Sonny said you will be spending it with us too?

Jason replied uncertainty in his voice. “Yeah I think so... Thats why I’m here..Tell Sonny there is some business I need to take care of and hopefully I’ll be back in time for tonight. I’ll call if I can’t make it. With that he turned to go and Carly yelled after him “ Jase please try it won’t be the same without you and the kids are expecting their Uncle Jason to be here.

“Carly I’m sure Jason will come if he can”Courtney jumped in .Jason looked back and said “BYE.

“Bye Jason” Carly and Courtney said together. Carly continued after Jason left “Is it my imagination or was Jason acting funny?.

“Jason was acting like Jason” Courtney said. “He never commits to anything - that way you aren’t disappointed. Now I have to check on Emma and I think I will lay down while she is napping.”

Carly was sitting with Morgan looking at a book and Michael was on the floor playing with the train under the tree when Sonny arrived home. “Hey guys” he said “ How are my 2 favorite girls” he asked leaning down to kiss them both. Then siting on the floor next Michael he leaned over to hug him “ And is my best bud ready for tonight”

“I sure am” Michael replied “ Daddy,,Mommy said Jason may not come tonight cos he may have to work. He has to come!” Michael continued sounding disappointed.

Sonny gave Carly a questioning look and Carly just shrugged her shoulders and sighed.

Mike and Bobby arrive together and Carly told Mike that Courtney needed to see him upstairs for a minute. Mike gave Carly a puzzled look but went upstairs and knocked on her door. “ Come In Daddy” Courtney Said.

Opening the door he was not prepared for what he saw. Sitting in the rocking chair was Courtney holding the most precious little girl he had seen in a very long time. He started to cry... “Don’t Cry Daddy” Courtney said with tears in her eyes “ I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner but I would like you to meet your granddaughter Emma. Mike walked over to them and smiled. He was crying because he was looking at his daughter- his baby girl with a baby of her own and she looked so happy. “ Courtney please don’t apologize. I am so happy you came home for Christmas and this beautiful gift is more than I can put into words. I love you baby and am so happy to be here and meeting Emma.”

After a few minutes of playing catch up Courtney put Emma who was now sleeping down and she and Mike headed downstairs to join the party. The evening was moving along and still no sign of Jason.

“I can’t believe he isn’t going to show” Carly said quietly to Sonny.

“I don’t understand whats so important to keep him away on Christmas Eve but I am going to find out” and with that Sonny headed for the door. Just as he opened it Jason appeared...

“Hey” Jason said... “Hey yourself. I was just coming to find you” sonny remarked.

They both headed back into the penthouse where everyone was laughing and listening to Christmas music. Jason smile and hugged Bobby.. She had always been a good friend to him. He shook Mikes hand and wished him a Merry Christmas. Although they didn’t always see eye to eye both loved Sonny and his family. Just then Michael and Morgan came running from the kitchen and right into Jason’s arms. He hugged Michael and then picked up Morgan who looked like a miniature Carly and who always put a smile on his face. She hugged his neck so tight and then started to giggle as he tickled her.

“Merry Christmas, Jase” Carly said hugging him and giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Just then Courtney who had been upstairs checking on Emma appeared . She looked so beautiful he thought with the green form fitting dress and flowing curls.

“Everything OK?” Carly asked. “Yep fine” Courtney replied. “Hey Jason glad you could make it” Courtney continued.. Jason watched as she made her way over to give him a hug.

“Hey” Michael said “ Aunt Courtney you have to give Jason a kiss” “What?” Courtney asked in a nervous voice. With that Michael pointed and everyone saw the pair were standing under the mistletoe. With all eyes on them Courtney knew there was no getting out of this and not wanting to create a scene she leaned up and gently kissed Jason on his lips. Jason just stood there hands on his chest.

“Well that wasn’t so bad” Carly remarked “ I’ll have to get my husband under it sometime tonight.” With that Sonny grabbed Carly around the waist and proceeded to kiss her passionately. “Who needs mistletoe” He said and everyone started to laugh and Jason and Courtney moved apart.

The evening was progressing quite well when all of a sudden Michael yelled “ Aunt Courtney - Emma is crying” Everyone stopped talking and listened and sure enough her soft cry could be heard through the baby monitor. Jason watched as Courtney stood and went upstairs. Moments later she returned with Emma cradled in her arms. Bobby came over to her and smiled “ So this is Emma - Carly has been talking nonstop about her new niece since you came home. Courtney she is beautiful”. “ Thank you Bobby - Emma is a blessing and I thank God everyday for her.”

Jason was taking all of this in and after the initial shock proceeded to walk over and see her. Courtney looked at Jason but said nothing. Jason touched her little fingers and as she made some gurgling sounds held his finger. “She’s beautiful” he said “just like her Mom.. how old is she?”

“Almost 4 months “ Courtney said. With that Jason stood back and took a deep breath. Turning very quickly he said his good byes and left. Courtney asked Carly to take Emma and ran out after him. Everyone watched wondering just what had happened..

Mike and Bobby left shortly after and Sonny took Michael and Morgan to bed while Carly settled Emma down for the night not knowing when Courtney would be back. Coming downstairs she curled up with Sonny. Both unsure of what was happening they decided to just enjoy the peace and quiet, confident they would get the story soon. With a fire blazing in the fireplace and the tree lights glowing they made love and forgot about everything around them.

Meanwhile across the hall Courtney was in Jason’s penthouse but he was nowhere to be found. Checking with Max she learned he had gone out in a rush. She decided to stay and wait for him to return. She curled up on the sofa and before long was asleep. She woke to someone shaking her

“Courtney” Jason whispered.. Courtney sat up with a start trying to read the eyes that were looking at her. Jason continued “I have been walking and thinking and trying to figure out how long you’ve been gone and how old Emma is and...

“She’s yours Jason” Courtney interrupted him tears streaming down her face.

“Mine? “ he could not believe what he was hearing even though he had already figured that much out. It all made sense but why didn’t she tell him she was pregnant...Why did she just leave town? So many questions.....He sat down next to her and asked “ Can we talk?” Courtney just shook her head yes.

“ OK lets go back to before you left ..Please help me understand Why?” he started to say but Courtney cut him off “Why” She screamed “What do you mean why...”.

“I need to know why you left” Jason continued... “What does it matter since you had already decided to break up with me anyway” Courtney said her voice quivering....

“What are you talking about Courtney” Jason asked

“ I heard you Jason.. I heard you talking to someone on the phone telling them you didn’t love me and that you didn’t want to see me again and would not even consider being friends. I was here - upstairs ..I heard everything... You said we were a mistake ...I had just found out I was pregnant and had come to tell you.. I couldn’t wait til our next meeting at the loft . God Jason do you know how much you hurt me.. I thought we had something so real and so special that nothing could ever come between us. We had talked about telling Sonny and Carly and going public and then I heard you on the phone. “

Why didn’t you come down and ask me about the call...?” Jason spoke so softly.

“How could I Jason - I just had my whole world shattered . I heard the man I loved with all my heart and who I thought loved me the same tell someone we were finished.

Tears filled Jasons eyes. He stood up , said nothing but moved to the desk and pulled out a letter. He handed it to her and she started to read :

As she finished reading it she looked at him and was now sobbing...”Jason I did not write this letter”

“But you said things that only we knew. The fact Carly and Sonny never knew about us...The loft....”

“No Jason someone else knew....I waited for you to leave that day and then headed home to pack. On the way I went to the Docks for one last time just to remember what we had shared and I was so upset. Elizabeth came by and when she saw me stopped to ask if I was OK. I said no and even though we weren’t really friends I figured there would be no harm telling her since I was leaving anyway. Jason I told her everything except the fact I was pregnant. I told her about our secret getaway and what we had shared and I told her about the phone call.....She was so sympathetic and even helped me get out of town.”

Jason cursed under his breath....” Courtney..It was Elizabeth I was talking to on the phone that day...She was begging me to take her back claiming she still loved me and had made a mistake breaking up.. I tried to be patient with her but she was not listening and then started to make threats about going to the police about my business . Thats when I lost it and thats what you overheard .All those things I said were to her.... I guess she thought helping you leave town I would eventually go back with her..That never happened... My heart was taken and no one would ever replace you....Anyway.. Shortly after the call from Elizabeth I went to the loft to tell you that we should tell Carly and Sonny and everyone else but you were gone. I found the letter and well you know the rest.. You knew I would respect your wishes and even though it killed me I did not try to fine you. I just got buried in work and came home only when necessary cos I couldn’t bear being here without you. When I ran out of excuses I knew I had to come home for Christmas but had no idea you would be here until I got home and then it was to late to back out.

“But didn’t Carly or Sonny tell you where I was ..Surely you were curious?

“No I avoided any questions about you because I didn’t want Carly suspecting anything....

“Oh Jason I am so sorry ... I robbed you of Emma’s birth and the first 4 months of her life. You have got to believe I would never have left had I known the truth.”

Jason leaned over and gently wiped the tears away. “Courtney I have never stopped loving you. I was ready to tell Sonny and Carly and ask Sonny for his blessing”

Courtney looked up “ Blessing” she asked... Jason got up once more and opened the desk drawer. Returning he had a small velvet box which he opened to reveal the most beautiful sapphire and diamond ring she had ever saw. “I was planning to ask you to marry me” Jason smiled. He continued..” Courtney I am not the greatest with words but I knew from the moment I met you we would become something very special..You have given me so much..You accepted me for who I am and loved me unconditionally..My heart gets butterflies every time I see you..I never thought I would feel again especially Love but Courtney I know without you I am empty ..You don’t just fill a part of me you fill all of me.... So Miss Matthews will you marry me?”

Courtney just sat there and started crying again..”Jason, please tell me I am dreaming and before she could say another word he was holding her in his arms and kissing her ever so gently. Jason pulled away and looking into her eyes he said “ Courtney, please stay with me tonight?

“Jason I don’t know - I mean Sonny and Carly have no idea what happened tonight and they do deserve an explanation and then there is Emma.”

“OK” he said but tomorrow we tell everyone which brings me back to my question “ Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife..Will you mar.....”

“Yes ! Yes! I’ll marry you” she answered before he finished the question..” And even though I can’t leave Emma for the night maybe you could spend the night with us. I’m sure Emma would love to have her Daddy holding her on Christmas morning. Just let me go across and see if the coast is clear.” Courtney rose to leave but before heading out reached up and wrapped her arms around Jasons neck and kissed him passionately... “I’ll be right back” she said turning - leaving Jason thinking thoughts that could get them both in a lot of trouble....

Moments later she returned and told him everyone had gone to bed. Ever so quietly they made their way to her room. As she proceeded to get ready for bed Jason stood over the cradle and looked at the little girl- his little girl sleeping so peacefully. Tears filled his eyes and ran down his cheeks. Courtney came up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist. He closed his eyes and turned to face her...” I love you” he said “ I love you for having Emma”

Without saying a word she took his hand and led him to the rocking chair. She then picked up Emma and placed her sleeping body in his arms. “ Perfect” she said.

With no more words Jason rocked his daughter while the love of his life slept in the bed next to him...All was right with the world.....

The sun shone bright and two laughing voices could be heard all over the house. Christmas morning had arrived.

“Mommy, Daddy - Wake up its Christmas”...Michael came running in with Morgan holding his hand...”We have to see what Santa has brought us.” They both jumped on the bed and were grabbed by Sonny and Carly causing them to laugh and giggle even louder.” Shhs you are going to wake up Aunt Courtney and Emma” Sonny said. Can we go and get them Michael asked...

“I’ll tell you what” Carly said “ You take Morgan and get her dressed and then you put on your clothes and Daddy will go down and start breakfast and I will go and get Aunt Courtney and Emma.

“Ah do I have to?” Michael asked. “Yes ..Carly said “ and the sooner you do it the sooner we get to open the gifts.” With that Michael took Morgan and left. Carly went to get up but Sonny grabbed her and pulled her back. “Have I told you how much I love you he said kissing her .

“Sonny” Carly started “We are so blessed with the life we have - our life together and our children and having Courtney here with Emma makes it even more special. I just wish Jason could find someone to love and share his life with... I think it was so overwhelming for him last night.. Thats why he left”...

“Well at least he will be spending today with people who love him” sonny said “Thats if he even shows up”

“He’ll be here” Carly stated very sternly..”Now if we don’t get moving our darling little impatient monkeys will be back in here. With that sonny headed for the kitchen and Carly headed toward the guest room.

Gently she rapped on the door and opened it. What she saw made her gasp in surprise. Curled up in the bed was Emma snuggled into Courtney’s body, who was snuggled into Jason’s body and arms. She quietly closed the door and headed to the kitchen. Entering she heard Michael and Morgan laughing with sonny and it warmed her heart. Looking up he saw Carly and asked “So where’s Courtney and Emma?”

“UM ! UM! Sonny can I see you in the living room for a minute?” Carly asked. Reading her look he followed her out of the kitchen “So whats up?” Sonny inquired

“You might want to rephrase that to Who’s Up or even better Who’s upstairs” Carly said with a little smile across her face.

“Carly what are you talking about” Sonny asked getting very impatient and before she had a chance to answer footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs. Sonny and Carly looked up to see Courtney and behind her was Jason carrying Emma.

“Sonny, Carly I know you’ve already met Emma but let me reintroduce her to you... This is my daughter Emma.” Jason said with a look they had never seen before.

Speechless they continued to stare at this picture perfect image before them. Courtney could see all the questions forming in their faces so she quickly spoke up “ We have so much to tell you but for right now can you please just trust that we know what we are doing and that this did not just happen overnight. Lets enjoy the morning and Jason and I will fill you in on all the details a little later” With that she, Jason and Emma headed to the kitchen to join Michael and Morgan . Carly and Sony remained in the living room still speechless over what has just happened.

After a few hours of opening gifts and lots of laughs Michael and Morgan were busy playing with their new toys and Emma had just gone for a nap. Sonny, Carly , Jason and Courtney were seated around the dining room table . “ OK you guys enough of the suspense out with it” Carly demanded. So Jason and Courtney took turns telling them of the life they had shared for almost a year before Courtney left and the misunderstandings that had led to their break up. “ Well I think you had a little help from the miserable witch Elizabeth” Carly snapped. “ Well that is all water under the bridge now” Jason spoke and then continued to say the important thing was they had discovered the truth and from now on they would be a family. Sonny and Carly listened in awe as Jason professed his love for Courtney . They had never heard Jason talk so passionately and the look in his eyes as he told them about his feelings made Sonny realize how lucky his sister was. Jason was about to tell them of his marriage proposal but was interrupted by Michael calling of them to come see Morgan who was playing dress up with make up and all. At the same time they heard Emma cry and Courtney went to get her. As she decended the stairs Jason walked over and encircled both of them in his arms. He leaned down and kissed Emma on the forehead and then drew Courtney into a kiss that had Sonny and Carly staring in shock and Michael telling Morgan to cover her eyes. Realizing they were being watched he stopped, looked at everyone and said “ What - can’t I kiss my bride to be” and with that turned and continued with the kiss.
