Summary: There is a new threat in town and he is

looking into Sonny, Jason and their family. He tries

to kidnaps Courtney and their daughter but his plan

fails. Is this the kind of guy that gives up easily or

will try again and succeed? Will Jason be able to save

his family in time?

Background: Courtney and Jason are married with a

four-year-old Meg Caroline Morgan. Jason is closer to

the Quartermaines. Jason and AJ dropped the feud

between them and are really close now. Sonny and Carly

are still married, Michael is 12 and Morgan is 6.

Emily and Nikolas are married and Emily’s a doctor.

Meg adores Nikolas and he adores her too. Meg also

adores AJ and Dillon.

Chapter 1 Be Careful

Courtney was sitting on the couch watching a movie

when Jason comes in. “Hey, how was your day?” Courtney

asked moving her feet so Jason can sit down. Jason

sits down and gives kisses her.

“Long and tiring. I’m just glad to be home.” He said

lying down with his head in her lap. He did have a

long day. He was looking all over town for the guy

that was asking around town about them but he didn’t

want say anything yet.

She could see that there was something bothering him

and started to rub his temples. “Is something wrong?”

she asked.

He opened his eyes and looked up at her, “I’ll tell

you later, I don’t want to risk Meg coming in and

hearing” he replied taking her hand off his head and

kissed her palm.

He closing his eyes and he sighed. She could tell he

was worried and it must be important enough not to let

Meg hear. She ran her hand through his hair. He was

comforted by this and soon fell asleep.

A few hours later Meg came down the stairs and walked

over to the couch and looked at Jason. “What’s wrong

with daddy?” she said looking up at Courtney.

Jason woke up when he heard Meg. He opened his eyes to

see his blonde hair little girl. “Nothing’s wrong with

me honey I’m just tired that’s all. Come here

pumpkin.”

Jason suddenly stood up and picked up Meg and twirled

her around and around. He could hear her squeals and

giggles and he couldn’t help but smile. He loved the

sound of her laughing. It was music to his ears.

Courtney looked up at them and smiled. He stopped and

gave her a hug. “I missed you today,” he said kissing

her cheek and sitting her down on Courtney’s lap.

“I missed you too, daddy. Can you stay home from work

tomorrow and play with me and mommy please?”

“Yeah please” Courtney said.

Meg and Courtney looked up at Jason, gave him puppy

dog eyes and pouted. He looked back and forth between

the two and smiled.

“How can I say no to those faces?” he said, sitting

down on the couch, Meg climbed up on his lap and

leaned up against his chest smiling up at him.

Courtney scooted over next to him and he wrapped his

arm around her. All three of them snuggled on the

couch and watched a movie until it was Meg’s bedtime.

Jason read her a story and tucked her in. Just when he

was about to shut the door Meg sat up. “Daddy can you

keep the door open. I’m scared of the dark. Please.”

Giving him puppy dog eyes.

“Okay pumpkin. Good night. I love you.”

“I love you too daddy.” She said getting herself

settled in the bed holding onto her huge teddy bear

that Jason got her for her last birthday. He stood

there a few more minutes to make sure she was okay and

left for his room.

He walked in to find Courtney settled into their bed

peacefully just like his daughter. He walked in,

stripped down to his boxers and climbed in next to

her. She laid her head down on his chest and he

wrapped his arms around her.

“You want to tell me now? You don’t have to we can

wait till morning if you want.” She asked him rubbing

her hand over his chest.

“There’s trouble at work. I need you to be careful

okay there’s a guy in town that’s asking around about

Sonny and me, what really concerns me that he’s asking

about you and Meg also. Just don’t go anywhere without

me or a guard, okay?”

“Okay.” She replied, “Do you know who he is and what

he wants with us?” she asked. Jason could tell she was

worried but he wasn’t going to let anything happen to

her.

“We don’t know his name but don’t worry I won’t let

anything happen to you or Meg,” he said looking down

at her and tucking some hair that fell in her face

behind her ear, “you guys are every thing to me.” He

finished and pulled her closer holding her tightly. “I

love you so much I can’t lose you, I won’t.

“I love you, too and I believe that you’ll keep us

safe. I just want you safe too.” He kissed the top of

her head. Soon after their conversation they fell

asleep, holding each other as close as they can

possibly get not wanting to let go in fear of losing

each other.

Somewhere across town, Frankie Ortega and his men were

getting the last couple of things ready for his plan.

“We can move forward in a few days, sir,” one of his

guards said.

“Good, I want to strike as soon as possible.”

“Are you sure you want to do this? Corinthos and

Morgan are powerful. One wrong move you’ll be a dead

man. Especially when you go after their family.” He

warned his boss.

“They destroyed my family why can’t I destroy theirs.”

“What do you mean?” he asked thinking his boss only

wanted their territory.

“Be patient you’ll find out soon enough.” He said with

an evil laugh. The guard left and called Frankie’s

lieutenant, Dirk.

“I think he’s getting in over his head he’s going

after Corinthos and Morgan’s family.” He said.

Dirk said, “I didn’t know he was going after families.

He never did that before. I’ll be there as soon as

possible.”

“Okay.” The guard said and hung up the phone and

walked away.

Chapter 2 Father and Daughter Bonding

Jason woke up the next morning to Meg sitting on his

chest and poking him. He pretended that he was still

asleep “ Daddy it’s time to get up and play with me.”

She said and started to jump on the bed. Jason sat up

and grabbed her. She squealed and laughed while he

tickled her. She wiggled free and started jumping

again.

“Hey where’s you mom?” He asked trying to contain the

little Tasmanian devil

“She’s gone downstairs. She said she was going to cook

breakfast but she’s lying down on the couch. She looks

likes she sick.” She said sitting back down on the bed

and playing with Jason’s wedding band.

“Okay pumpkin why don’t you go get dressed then we can

go get some breakfast and if you’re good I’ll bring

you and Rosie to the park.” He said trying to control

her wild hair. Her eyes lit up at the mention of the

park and jumped off the bed and ran to her room. Jason

smiled after her, asking him self how she has so much

energy, especially in the morning.

He got dressed and went downstairs. Courtney was lying

on the couch with her hands over her eyes. He went

over and knelt down beside her. “Hey you okay?” he

asked.

She moved her hands away from her face and looked up

at him. He noticed how pale she looked. “Yeah I just

don’t feel very good.” She said

“Hey why don’t you go upstairs and lay back down.” He

said feeling her forehead.

“I can’t Meg wants to spend the day with both of us. I

can’t disappoint her.” She said.

“It’s okay I’ll explain to her that you don’t feel

good. Just go up to bed okay.”

“I will if you promise me one thing. Go out and have

fun with her. She missed you yesterday.” She said

sitting up.

“Okay I will.”

Courtney gave Jason a kiss on the cheek, got up and

walked over to the stair. She stopped suddenly feeling

light headed and fell down. Jason caught her before

she hit the floor.

“Hey you okay?” he asked her while she lay there in

his arms.

“I just felt dizzy.” She said

“Hey I don’t want to leave you alone like this. Come

on.” He said and picked her up and carried her

upstairs to their bedroom.

“No you have to go please. I don’t want to ruin your

day please just go.” She pleaded with him as he set

her down on their bed. She looked at Jason and gave

him puppy dog eyes. How am I going to say no to that

he thought to him self?

“Okay, I can’t resist you’re puppy dog eyes. Yours or

Meg’s.” he said sitting down beside her. “Are you

sure?” he asked one more time. She nodded and started

to kiss him.

Meg walked in and said, “ I’m ready you guys.” They

pulled from their kiss and turned to see Meg all ready

to go with her jacket on and Rosie on her leash.

“Hey sweetie come here for a minute,” Jason said and

she dropped the leash and went over to Jason. He

picked her up and set her down in his lap. “ Mommy’s

not going to be able to come with us.” He said trying

to explain

“Why not?” She asked disappointment on her face.

“Well she’s not feeling good.” When Jason said that

she got off his lap and climbed over to Courtney and

lay down next to her.

“It’s okay mommy, I understand.” Giving her a hug and

a kiss.

“Thank you sweetie. Hey you and daddy are still going

out and you, he, and Rosie are going to have a great

time at the park.” Courtney said.

“Okay I hope you feel better mommy” Meg said running

to the door and grabbed Rosie and they raced down the

stair.

“See I told you she’d understand.” Jason said getting

up off the bed and giving her a kiss. “You just rest

okay we’ll be back in a little while okay, I love

you.”

“I love you, too” she said he kissed her again and

went downstairs and left with his daughter.

Jason and Meg went to Kelley’s and had breakfast. Meg

ordered her favorite, French toast with syrup. Jason

had his usual coffee.

After breakfast, they headed to the park with Rosie.

Jason did everything Meg wanted. They played catch,

they swung on the swings, they climbed on the jungle

gym and she even got him to play on the sea saw with

her.

After all that Jason took her to the ice cream stand.

She got a triple sundae special and Jason got a plan

old fudge sickle. They sat on the bench and ate their

ice cream. When Jason would occasionally look away Meg

would let Rosie lick her ice cream sundae.

After their ice cream either ended up in their mouths

or all over their faces they went home to finish their

perfect day with a movie.

They walked into the penthouse. Jason went to the

kitchen to get a wet cloth for Meg’s ice cream covered

face. He came back and picked her up and put her on

the pool table and started to wash her face. She

started to giggle.

“What’s so funny?” he asked her pulling the cloth away

from her face when he was done. “Daddy you need this,

too” she said pointed at Jason’s face and giggled

again. He smiled at her.

She took the cloth from his hand and cleaned him up.

“There all clean” she said triumphantly. He grabbed

her and tickled her. She laughed and wiggled free,

jumped off the pool table, ran over and hopped up on

the couch, “Movie time,” she said looking up at her

daddy with those gorgeous blue eyes that she got from

her mother.

“Okay you pick out the movie while I go upstairs and

check on mommy.” He said tossing the cloth at her

playfully She squealed, jumped off the couch and ran

over to the movie rack, which was next to the

television, filled with DVD’s.

He went upstairs and peeked his head in their room and

saw her sleeping peacefully not wanted to wake her up

he went in kissed her forehead and walked back

downstairs.

Meg was waiting patiently for Jason on the couch with

the movie in her hand. He came over to the couch and

sat down. “So what did you pick out for us to watch?"

He asked her as she cuddled up next to him

“I picked out “The Lion King” it’s my favorite.” She

explained to him with a yawn.

He watched her while she watched the opening credits

and singing “The Circle Of Life.” She knew it by

heart she watched it so much. He looked at his watch;

it was almost 7:30. He was exhausted. He settled back

in the couch and Meg climbed up on his lap and got

comfortable and played with his wedding ring.

Every now and then she’d laugh at the movie almost

sliding off Jason’s lap causing Jason to have to catch

her before she fell. Every time she’d giggle he’d

smile. He loved that giggle.

After the movie Jason put Meg to bed, she wouldn’t go

to sleep unless he read him a story. “Just like your

cousin,” he thought. He finally got her to sleep and

climbed into his own bed. He fell asleep as soon as

his head hit the pillow.

Chapter 3 Close Call

Jason woke the next morning alone. He could smell

something being cooked. He got dressed and went

downstairs. Meg was sitting on the couch watching

cartoons when she heard Jason walk downstairs. She got

up and went over to him

“Morning daddy,” she said giving him a big hug and

went back and sat on the couch.

“Morning pumpkin,”

Jason walked into the kitchen and saw Courtney doing

dishes. He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms

around her waist. “Feeling better.” He said kissing

her neck.

“Yes, much better,” she said turning around in his

arms and looked in his eyes. “I guess all I needed was

some sleep. I slept all day.” She said laughing

slightly.

“Well I’m glad you’re better.” He said kissing her. It

was suppose last a few seconds but it turned out to be

longer. He ran his hands up the back of her shirt. She

wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him closer

and deepening the kiss. He pulled away and looked in

her eyes.

“I love you so much,” he said kissing her again.

“I love you too,” she replied and started to turn

around to finish the dishes. He stopped her and pulled

her into another passionate kiss.

He kissed down her neck and whispered in her ear. “

Hey I wasn’t down yet.” He nibbled on her ear and

kissed back up her neck to her lips again. He pulled

away, “There”

“I love you,” she said with a smile and kissed him one

more time before turning around and finished the

dishes.

“I love you too. What are you guys doing today? He

asked sitting down and eating his breakfast.

“Michael and Morgan wanted Meg to go over there and

play with them; Leticia’s going to watch them when

Carly and me go shopping.”

Jason looked at his watch, “Hey, I got to go to work

but why don’t you and Meg meet me at Kelley’s for

lunch.”

“Okay” she said.

“Okay I’ll see you then. Bye. I love you.” He said

giving her a kiss.

“I love you too. Be careful.” She said before he left.

He walked to the living room said good-bye to Meg and

walked to the door humming The Circle Of Life. Meg

giggled when she heard him humming.

He turned around when he heard her giggle. He knew why

and he winked at her, causing her to giggle more.

Jason and Sonny were in a meeting with the five

families. Sonny was sitting at the table while Jason

stood behind him. “Do you guys know anything about the

guy who’s asking about me and my family?” Sonny asked

looking around the table for an answer.

“All the information we have is in these folders. His

name is Frankie Ortega he’s originally from South

America but he does business across the country.”

Sammy said handing a stack of folders to Sonny.

“Ortega, Ortega, that sounds familiar.” Jason said

“Yeah it does,” Sonny said back to him and shrugged it

off

“Thank you” Sonny said handing Jason the folders and

he tucked them in his leather jacket and they went on

to other business that they had to discuss.

Jason looked around the warehouse. When he realized

everyone stopped talking he looked back. They were all

staring at him. “What?” he asked. Then he realized

that he started to hum The Circle Of Life again.

“I’m sorry I watched The Lion King last night with my

daughter and I can’t get that song out of my head.” He

said embarrassed. Every one started to laugh.

“The big mean Jason Morgan humming children’s songs.”

Sammy said causing every one to laugh even harder.

Jason smiled remembering Meg giggling at him this

morning for humming.

The rest of the meeting was humming free. When Sonny

got up to leave he couldn’t help but bring it up

again. “Come on Pumba,” causing everyone to laugh

again.

“ Ha, Ha very funny.” Jason said as they left the

warehouse.

Jason walked into Kelley’s still humming and took a

seat to wait for Courtney and Meg. Penny came up to

him and asked for his order. “Just coffee for now

Penny I’m waiting for Courtney and Meg.” He said.

Penny smiled and poured him a coffee, then went to

help another costumer.

Monica walked in and saw Jason. “Hey Jason, how’s

Courtney and Meg doing.”

“Hey mom. Their doing great, they’re on their way

right now,” Jason replied taking a sip of his coffee.

“Hey you want keep me company while I wait. I’m a

little early. I’m sure Meg would want to see you”

“Sure” she said taking a seat.

They started to talk. Jason told Monica about his day

with Meg yesterday. He also told her about humming in

the middle of a meeting with the five families, which

she laughed hysterically.

Courtney and Meg just left Carly, Michael, and Morgan

and they now were walking on the docks on their way to

Kelley’s for lunch.

Meg stopped and looked at a yacht that was pulling

into the harbor. “Mommy look at that big boat.’ She

said pointing at it.

“Yeah sweetie, that’s Uncle Nikolas’ yacht.” She said.

“Cool maybe he’ll give me a ride.” She said never

taking her eyes off of the yacht.

She saw her Uncle Nikolas wave and she frantically

waved back. Nikolas blew the horn and blew her a kiss.

She jumped up and down and squealed and giggled

blowing him a kiss back. They waved good-bye to

Nikolas and started to walk again.

Courtney looked down and saw that Meg’s shoe was

untied. “Come here sweetie let me tie your shoe before

you trip.”

She led Meg over to the bench and sat her down she

bent down to tie her shoe. When she did, her pocket

book fell off her shoulder and the contents fell all

over the place. “Oops” Courtney said looking up and

smiling at Meg who in turn giggled. Courtney started

to pick up her stuff.

“I’ll help you mommy,” Meg said jumping off the bench

and picking stuff up off the ground.

“Thanks sweetie,” Courtney said.

Courtney went to pick up some tic tacks when someone

bent down and picked them up for her. She stood up

quickly and backed up a few steps. She looked at the

guy that picked up her tic tacks and then at the two

guys behind him. She automatically knew that they were

his bodyguards and she backed up a few more steps.

The guy bent down to Meg and gave her the tic tacks,

“Here you go cutie.” Meg giggled a little and took

them from him. Courtney pulled Meg behind her as the

guy stood up and extended his hand.

“Who are you and what do you want?” she said not

taking his hand.

“I’m sorry Mrs. Morgan I should have introduced

myself, my name is Frank Ortega but everyone calls me

Frankie.” He said

“What do you want?” she said again.

“You’ll know soon enough,” Frankie, signaled his

guards and they grabbed Courtney’s arms. She stood in

front of them so they couldn’t get to Meg.

“Meg run. Get out of here.” She screamed behind her.

“No mommy…” Meg tried to protest. She wanted to stay

and help her mommy.

“Just go to Kelley’s daddy’ waiting for us there, go.”

She said again still struggling with the two guards as

they tried to detain her and get to Meg. Meg took off

running in the direction of Kelley’

“Get her before she gets Morgan.” Frankie said to one

of his men and he sped after her. Courtney was stills

struggling with the guard and Frankie walked up to her

and slapped her across the face. She fell to the

ground, hitting her head on the bench and knocking her

unconscious.

“You know what to do.” He said to his guards and walk

away.

Jason was sitting there talking to Monica. He kept

looking at his watch. He was starting to get worried

they were an hour and a half late. Courtney usually

called when she was going to be late.

“Daddy help” he heard Meg scream when she opened the

door and ran inside. Jason stood up and she ran into

his arms and started to cry. “They’re chasing me and

they’re going to hurt mommy you got to help her.” She

sobbed in her chest.

“It’s okay sweetie, you’re okay now.” He said rubbing

her back to try and calm her down. “Where are they

now?” he asked

“They’re on the docks they tried to grab me too but

mommy wouldn’t let them.” She said still crying.

“Okay honey you stay here with grandma okay and I’ll

go find mommy.” He said handing her to Monica and ran

out the door.

Meg buried her face in her grandma’s neck and cried

harder. Monica rubbed her back and told her that

everything was going to be okay and tried to calm her

down. Penny went and got a glass of water and gave it

to Meg. She took it and said thank you and took a big

sip. She set it down and leaned against her grandma

while Monica rocked her back and forth. Meg cried her

self to sleep.

Jason left and ran to the docks hoping he wasn’t too

late. He rounded the corned and saw two men pick up

his wife and start to carry her off the docks. He took

his gun out and yelled, “Put her down,” The guards

froze. They heard about Jason Morgan and how dangerous

he is. They slowly put her down on the ground. She was

still unconscious from when she fell and hit her head.

As soon as they put her down they ran away.

Jason ran to Courtney’s side. He checked for a pulse

and found one. He let out the breath he was holding

ever since he left Kelley’s. He moved her hair from

her face and saw the huge gash on her forehead that

was bleeding really badly. He ripped the sleeve of his

tee shirt off and applied pressure to her head. He

checked the rest of her out. Everything else seemed to

be okay. He took his cell phone out and called for an

ambulance. After that he called Monica.

“Hello?” she answered.

“Hey its Jason I found her on the docks. Two guys

tried to take her. She’s got a really bad cut on her

forehead and she won’t wake up. Can you drop Meg off

at Emily and Nikolas’ and meet me at the hospital?” he

asked her still holding Courtney.

“Sure, I’ll be right there?” she said.

“Thanks, mom” he said and hung up the phone just as

the ambulance arrived and took her to the hospital.

Emily and Nikolas were on the couch watching a movie

when there was a knock on the door. “I’ll get it.”

Nikolas got off the couch and walked over to the door

and opened it.

“Hey Monica what brings you here?” He asked.

“Uncle Nikolas,” he heard Meg scream and she jumped in

his arms and started to cry.

“Whoa it’s okay sweetie.” Nikolas said rubbing her

back trying to calm her down. He brought Meg inside

and sat on the couch with her. She seemed to calm down

a little in his arms. Emily got up and walked over to

Monica.

“Mom what happened?” she asked looking back at Nikolas

comforting Meg. She stopped crying as soon as she was

with Nikolas.

“She was walking on the docks with Courtney when these

guys tried to take them. They grabbed Courtney and she

wouldn’t let them near Meg. Meg ran away to Kelley’s

where Jason was waiting for them and he went after

her.” She lowered her voice so Meg wouldn’t hear,

“Jason found her on the docks two guy were carrying

her off and he stopped them. He called and asked me to

drop Meg here and meet him at the hospital. He said

she got a really bad cut on her head and she wouldn’t

wake up.

“Oh my God.” Emily said, walking over to the couch and

sitting down next to Meg and Nikolas.

“I’m going to go to the hospital and see what I can

do. I’ll call you when I hear anything.” Monica said

leaving for the door.

“Bye” Nikolas said now holding a sleeping Meg in his

arms. He was rocking her back and forth and rubbing

her back.

“I’m going to go get the guest room ready for her I’m

pretty sure she’ll have to spend the night.” Emily

said getting up and going upstairs.

Meg started to stir in Nikolas’ arms. She slowly

opened her eyes and looked up at him. “Where’s mommy?”

she said with tears running down her cheeks.

Nikolas looked down at the little girl and his heart

broke for her, “Your daddy took your mommy to the

doctor’s to make sure she’s all right.” He said and

stopped to think of a way to try to explain to her

without scaring her, “You know when you bump your head

and hurts really bad?” she nodded, “well your mommy

bumped her head really hard and she needs to get it

checked out okay?” he finished.

She nodded and laid her head back against his chest.

He kissed her forehead while she played with his

wedding ring like she does with Jason’s all the time.

Every few minutes she’d sniffle.

Emily came back down and sat down next to them. Meg

looked up and realized her aunt was here, “Hi Aunty

Emily,” and leaned over and gave her a hug. She leaned

back in Nikolas’ arms and snuggled close to him and he

kissed her forehead again.

“Hey why don’t we watch a movie? We have lots of them.

See that cabinet over there. Why don’t you pick a

movie and we can watch it?” soon as Emily said that

Meg’s eyes lit up.

She ran over to the cabinet and opened it up to see

all the different choices. She stuck her tongue out

thinking of which one to choose. Her eyes lit up again

when she came across her all time favorite movie in

the world, “The Lion King,” she grabbed it and some

DVD’s fell down. She turned around giggled at them,

“Oops” she said.

All of a sudden she got scared and ran back to the

couch and jumped into Nikolas’ arms.

“What’s wrong sweetie?” he asked rubbing her back just

like before to calm her down.

“That’s what mommy said right before the bad men

came.” She said burying her face in his chest.

He rocked her back and forth and said, “The bad men

aren’t going come here. If they do your Uncle Nikolas

will beat them up okay? She lifted her head up and

giggled.

She looked around before she got up and picked up the

DVD’s and brought “The Lion King” over. Emily put it

in while Meg climbed back up in Nikolas’ lap again and

got comfortable. She giggled at the funny parts and

sung along when they sang.

Jason was in the waiting room, pacing, waiting for the

doctors to tell him how Courtney was doing. Monica

left about fifteen minutes ago to see if there was any

news.

Sonny and Carly arrived a little while after he did.

They were sitting down watching Jason walk back and

forth.

Sonny stood up and put his hand on Jason’s shoulder.

“She’s going to be okay. She’s strong. She’ll get

through this. She wouldn’t leave you and Meg without a

hell of a fight.” Sonny patted him on the back, “I’m

going to go get some coffee you want some?” Jason

nodded and Sonny left in search of a vending machine.

Jason finally sat down next to Carly putting his head

in his hands. Carly put his hand on his shoulder. He

looked up at her. He whispered, “I can’t lose her

Carly she’s my life.” He let a tear fall but quickly

wiped it away. The rest of the time was spent in

silence.

Monica and Tony walked over a while later. Jason

jumped up when he saw them and spilt his coffee that

Sonny got him. Jason leaned down to pick it up Sonny

stopped him and said, “ I got it.”

Jason walked up to Tony and Monica, “How is she,

Tony?” he asked nervously.

“She’s going to be fine. She needed a lot of stitched

for the cut on her forehead. We were worried at first

about pressure building up in her head but it seems

that’s not happening. She’ll have to stay here for a

few days to make sure there are no complications.

She’s really lucky. She’s awake and coherent. She’s

asking for you.”

“Can I see her?”

“Yeah she’s in room 310.”

“Thank you so much doctor.” He said. He gave Monica a

hug and left for Courtney’s room.

He opened the door and she looked up and smiled at

him. “Hey, you” she said holding out her hand for him.

He went to her side and took it. He sat down next to

her and brought her hand to his face and kissed it.

“Hey you scared me there.” He said kissing her hand

again and putting his hand on the side of her face.

She brought her hand to his and turned her head to

kiss his palm.

“How’s Meg doing?” she asked with tears threatening to

fall.

“She’s a little shaken up. My mom took her to Emily

and Nikolas’ house.” She couldn’t hold back the tears

any more. She started to cry.

Jason took her in his arms and held her. “I was so

scared Jason. I thought they were going to take her. I

told her to run. When she did I thought I wasn’t going

to see her again or you.” “ I just prayed that she

would find you before they got her.”

“Shhh it’s okay she’s safe now and so are you.

Everything’s okay.” Jason whispered in her ear and

held her in his arm. “God I love you and Meg so much.

When Meg told me where you were I ran hoping that it

wasn’t too late. I don’t know what I would do if I

lost you.” He finished.

She looked up at him and ran her hand over his face.

“I love you too. Can you just hold me?” she asked.

“Of coarse I will” he said. She scooted over and he

lay down next to her. He wrapped his arms around her

and held her tight. They fell asleep soon after that.

Sonny looked in on them and saw them sleeping. He

decided to come back later. They needed rest. He

turned around and left.

A shadowy figure walked up to the door and looked in

the window. “This isn’t over Morgan I’ll get what I

want.” He said turning and leaving.

Chapter 4 The Real Reasons

Jason woke up around ten o’clock and looked over to

find Courtney still asleep. He slipped out from under

her and got out of the bed. He went to the door and

opened it. He turned around and looked at her one more

time before leaving to find a pay phone. He had to

call Nikolas and Emily and check on Meg.

He walked up to the pay phone and stopped. He rummaged

around in his pockets and found a quarter. He put it

in the pay phone and dialed.

“Hello,” he heard Nikolas answer the phone.

“Hey it’s Jason. I just called to tell you that

Courtney’s fine but she’ll have to stay in the

hospital for a while. How’s Meg doing?” he asked.

“I’m glad Courtney’s okay. Meg’s doing better then

when she got here. She had a few bad dreams. She won’t

sleep without Emily or me in the room with her so I

set up a tent and we’re camping out in the living

room.” He said and Meg giggled.

Jason heard Meg giggle in the background and smiled.

“Sounds like you’re having fun. Nikolas can I ask you

a favor? Could she stay with you for a couple days? If

she can’t she can go to stay with Sonny and Carly?”

“Sure anything you need.”

“Thanks man. Can I talk to her?”

“Sure,” Jason heard Nikolas unzip the tent. “Hey Meg

you’re dad wants to talk to you.” Meg jumped up and

down and took the phone from Nikolas.

“Daddy, Daddy” she screamed in the phone causing Jason

to take the phone from his ear.

“Hey pumpkin. I heard you’re camping with Uncle

Nikolas and Aunt Emily.” He said.

“Yeah we’re camping inside daddy isn’t that silly?”

she asked giggling in the phone. Jason smiled.

“Yeah pumpkin it is silly.”

“Is mommy’s head feeling better? Can she come home

now?” Meg asked hopefully.

“Yeah, sweetie, she’s feeling a little better but she

has to stay here for a little while.” He said sadly

not wanting to disappoint his daughter.

“Why?” Jason could hear the disappointment in her

voice,

“Because the doctors want to make sure she’s all

better so she doesn’t get hurt again.” He said hoping

she’d understand. “You’re going to stay with Uncle

Nikolas and Aunt Emily until she’s all better.”

“Okay, daddy, I understand, but can I still see her?”

“I’ll come by in the morning and take you to see her,

okay”

“Yay” she squealed into the phone causing him to pull

it away from his ear again.

“You be a good girl for your Aunt and Uncle okay. I

love you.” He said after her squealing subsided.

“I will daddy, I love you too. Goodnight.” She said

handing Nikolas back the phone and getting into the

tent with Emily and started to giggle.

“She’ll be okay Jason.” Nikolas said.

“I know. Make sure she brushes her teeth before she

goes to bed okay?

“Sure thing, she has a spare toothbrush from last time

she spent the night.” He replied.

“Thanks again. I’ll come by in the morning so she can

see Courtney.”

“Okay. Give Courtney our love. Bye Jason.”

“Bye” he said and hung up the phone. He walked back to

Courtney’s room. She was still asleep so he sat down

in the chair and leaned his head back, falling asleep.

At a warehouse across town, “You stupid idiots I give

you one job and you messed it up.” Frankie yelled at

his men, throwing a chair across the room. He couldn’t

believe that they didn’t do what he asked.

“I understand why you didn’t get the wife. Morgan

showed up, but how in the world did you lose the girl?

She’s only four years old you incompetent idiot” he

said and backhanded one of the men.

“She was too fast sir I’m sorry.” He said scared to

death that his boss was going to kill.

Frankie got up in his face and said, “You’re lucky I

don’t give up easily. I’m giving you one more chance.

Let me down again and you’ll be sorry, now leave all

of you,” he said, waving his hand in the air and

sitting down at a small, round, metal table.

All of them ran out the door. His friend and

lieutenant, Dirk, walked in ten minutes later and sat

down across from him. “I don’t get it Frankie why are

you bringing family into this. We never go after

families.” He said lighting a cigar and handing one to

Frankie.

“Bringing their family into this is the whole point of

why I’m doing this,” he replied, leaning over while

Dirk lit his cigar.

“Why are you so intent on destroying Corinthos and

Morgan by going through their family and don’t tell me

it’s for the territory because I don’t believe that

anymore.” Dirk asked getting a little mad.

“Because they destroyed my family and I'll make them

to pay for it.” He said getting up and looking out the

window.

“Corinthos and Morgan are men of honor, they don’t go

after family. It’s like their motto.” He said, “and I

respect them for that. I don’t think we should go

after their family.

“This time was different,” he said not wanting to

explain but knew he had to come clean now

“How is it different? Look you’re risking me too,

man.”

“I was in love once did you know that?” he asked still

staring out the window.

“No.”

“She didn’t love me though. She loved my brother.”

“I’m sorry Frankie but what does this have to do with

Corinthos and Morgan?” he asked.

“I’m getting to it,” he yelled over his shoulder. “My

little brother, Jesse, took over the business after my

father retired. He gave the business to my brother

because he didn’t want me anywhere near the business.

He said I was destined for better things, so I went to

culinary art school. Jesse was doing a good job too

until he wanted Corinthos and Morgan’s territory.

Don’t get me wrong I love… loved my brother but he was

no match for Corinthos. Anyways, Jesse went after his

family. Corinthos found out where he was and he sent

Morgan after him and killed him.

A little while after the funeral my dad died of a

heart attack but I know he died of a broken heart.

Darla, that was his wife, couldn’t deal with Jesse’s

death and she killed herself.

Soon after that my mom died and all I had left was

the business so I quit my job as a chef and took over

the business. That was when I vowed that I would

avenge my family’s deaths and here I am. I’m not

giving up until Corinthos and Morgan are brought down

and their weakness is their family. I’m going to take

their family away and let them suffer. Then I’m going

to kill them and take over their territory.

Dirk felt sorry for what happened but he still thought

that Frankie shouldn’t go after their family. He also

thought that it wasn’t their fault that his parents

and his sister-in-law died. Dirk got up from the

table, walked over to Frankie and put his hand on his

shoulder, “I’m sorry man.” He said still thinking it

wasn’t a good idea. One thing it’s suicide to go after

Corinthos’ family. For another thing he always admired

Corinthos’ integrity not to bring family into the

business. He believes in it too.

Frankie turned to him and looked in his eyes, “Thanks,

could you just leave me alone for a while. I’ll get in

touch when I want to start my plan over again. For one

thing, we should stay low for a while after my men

messed up and for another thing I want to go over

everything so we don’t mess up again.” He said

thinking Dirk is still going to help him.

“Sure thing man,” Dirk said patting his shoulder.

Dirk left thinking of how he was going to stop Frankie

from hurting Corinthos and Morgan’s family.

Chapter 5 Visiting Mommy

Meg was the first one up. She tip toed around Nikolas

and Emily and unzipped the tent. She stepped out and

walked over to the couch. She hopped up and turned the

television on and flipped through the channels when

she came across Scooby Doo. She loved Scooby Doo so

she put the remote down and started to watch the

cartoon.

Nikolas woke up to the sound of Meg giggling. He

looked around and saw the tent open. He got up

carefully not wanting to wake up Emily.

They stayed up late playing with Meg. Nikolas was the

first one to fall asleep. Emily and Meg played with

the play make-up for a while longer before Emily fell

asleep. When Emily fell asleep Meg got in touch with

her creative side and decided to make her Uncle

Nikolas pretty like her.

Nikolas ducked out of the tent and stood up. Meg

looked over and started to giggle and laugh

hysterically.

“What’s so funny?” Nikolas asked with a confused look

on his pretty face. Meg didn’t say anything, she was

giggling so hard. All she did was point at Nikolas.

“What?” Nikolas said again walking a little closer to

the couch but stopped when he saw his reflection in

the mirror. He had make-up all over his face. He had

bright pink lipstick, purple eye shadow, and rosie red

cheeks.

“You’re so pretty Uncle Nikolas,” she said in between

giggles.

“You think I’m pretty do you?” he said running over to

the couch. He picked her up and started tickling her.

She giggled and laughed.

Emily heard Nikolas and Meg laughing and got up to see

what they were laughing at. “Hey what’s going…?" She

looked at Nikolas and started to laugh right along

with Meg.

“Isn’t Uncle Nikolas pretty Aunt Emily?” she said

pointing at Nikolas’ face.

“He sure is.” Emily said before there was a knock on

the door. Nikolas sat down with Meg still laughing in

his lap. Emily went to the door and opened to see

Jason.

“Hey Jase” Emily said hugging Jason and moving aside

to let him in.

“Daddy, Daddy” Meg screamed jumping out of Nikolas’

lap and ran into Jason’s arms. He picked her up and

gave her a hug and kissed her forehead.

“Hey baby girl,” he said holding you.

“Hey daddy isn’t Uncle Nikolas pretty?” she asked

turning around and looked at Nikolas. Soon as she saw

him she started to giggle again. Jason smiled at her

and looked at Nikolas. He tried to hold back from

laughing but couldn’t help it. Soon every body in the

room was laughing. Even Nikolas.

“He sure is,” Jason said, trying to catch his breath.

“I made him pretty last night when he was asleep,” she

explained, running over to the tent and pulling out

the play make-up. She walked over in front of Jason

holding it up so he could see.

Jason knelt down in front of her, “ Cool, hey why

don’t you go get ready so we can go see mommy, okay?”

Meg squealed and started to run upstairs.

“Slow down on those stairs,” Nikolas, Jason, and Emily

said all at once. She squealed again and slowed down a

little before disappearing around the corner.

“Hey man I’m sorry about that,” Jason said trying to

keep a straight face but couldn’t.

“Hey it’s all right I have a blast with her.” Nikolas

said washing his face off with the wet rag Emily gave

him.

“I’m going to take…you missed a spot,” Jason said

pointed at a spot of make-up he missed. Nikolas said

thank you and he continued, “… I’m going to take her

to see Courtney, What time do you want me to drop her

off?’ he asked,

“Anytime after 5 o’clock, I have a meeting to go to

and Emily has to work.” Nikolas explains.

“Okay,” Jason replied before looking up to see Meg

coming down the stairs dressed and ready to go with

her jacket on.

“I’m ready to see mommy.” She said jumping up in

Jason’s arms.

“Okay sweetie say bye to Emily and Nikolas.” Jason

said after picking her up and kissing her cheek.

“Bye Aunt Emily, Bye Uncle Nikolas,” she said leaning

in Jason’s arms and kissing Nikolas and Emily on the

cheeks.

“Bye sweetie, say hi to your mommy for me, okay?”

Emily said.

“See you tonight munchkin,” Nikolas said.

Meg looked at him and giggled, “Uncle Nikolas you’re

silly, I’m a pumpkin not a munchkin,” she said burying

her head in Jason’s chest and giggling some more.

Jason smiled at the comment and kissed her forehead.

“You’re a munchkin to me cutie.” Nikolas replied.

“Bye guys” Jason said, turning around to leave.

“Bye Jason” Nikolas and Emily said walking them out to

the car.

Jason got Meg in her car seat and walked around and

got in the car. He started the car and drove off. Meg

turned around in her car seat and waved out the back

window to them and they waved back. Nikolas blew her a

kiss and she giggled and blew one back at him.

Jason and Meg got off the elevator. Jason looked

around and saw Sonny waiting for him. Sonny started to

walk up to them. “Uncle Sonny,” Meg squealed when she

saw Sonny, she ran up to him and Sonny picked her up

and hugged her.

“Hey there beautiful,” Sonny said giving her a kiss.

Jason looked around and spotted Dillon and Georgie

talking in the waiting room. Jason walked up to Sonny

and Meg and nodded. Sonny nodded back and Jason took

Meg out of his arms and set her down, “come here

pumpkin.” Jason said leading her to the waiting room.

“Hey Dillon, Hey Georgie, can you watch Meg for a

minute. I need to take care of something real quick?”

he asked them

“Sure thing Jase.” Dillon said.

Jason bent down to Meg. “ I got to talk to Uncle Sonny

okay. I need you to stay here with Dillon and Georgie,

“ he said.

“Daddy no, don’t leave. I’m scared.” Meg started to

cry and ran into Jason’s arms and buried her face in

his chest.

Jason pulled away and looked at her. “Sweetie I’m not

leaving I’ll be right over there okay you’ll be able

to see me. Dillon won’t let anything happen to you

okay?”

“I’ll beat them up.” Dillon said. Meg giggled

“Okay daddy.” She said. Meg went over to Dillon and

climbed up on his lap. Jason left to talk to Sonny but

made sure that Meg could see him.

Meg told Dillon and Georgie how she made her Uncle

Nikolas pretty. They got a kick out of that.

“Hey Meg, why don’t we go and get a snack out of the

vending machine.” Meg nodded enthusiastically and

remembered that she forgot to eat breakfast before she

left Nikolas and Emily’s house.

“Let’s go tell your dad where we’re going so he does

get worried.” The three of them started to walk

towards Jason and Sonny.

Dillon and Georgie were holding hands and decided Meg

wanted to hold hands with Dillon too. She walked up on

the other side of Dillon and took his hand. He looked

down at her and winked causing her to giggle.

“Excuse us, we’re going to take Meg to the vending

machines and get her a snack.” Dillon said.

“Okay here’s some money,” Jason said rummaging around

in his pocket for some change.

“No, I got it Jason we just wanted to tell you where

we were so you didn’t worry.” Dillon said stopping him

from giving him the change that he handed to them.

“Are you sure?” he asked

“Yeah I got plenty.” Dillon said putting his hand back

to his side and Meg grabbed it again and giggled

Jason bent down to Meg, “ You stay with Dillon okay.”

She nodded and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“Bye Uncle Sonny,” she said and waved. Sonny waved

back and she, Dillon, and Georgie walked off around

the corner to the vending machines.

Jason stood back up and continued the conversation he

was having with Sonny, “Anything new on this Ortega

guy?” he asked

“No, whatever his background is he doesn’t want us to

find it.” He replied, rubbing his hand over his face,

“That name sounds familiar I just can’t put my finger

on it.”

“I know it sounds familiar to me, too. Damn it” Jason

said getting frustrated. He really wanted to get this

guy so he doesn’t try to hurt Courtney and Meg again.

“It’s okay man we’ll figure it out,” Sonny said

putting his hand on Jason’s shoulder. “I’ll tell Greg

to keep working on it. This guy couldn’t have just

come out of nowhere all of a sudden.”

“You’re right. Greg’s good he’ll find away around the

blocks that this guy’s got on his past,” he said

calming down. “Let’s wait for Dillon and Georgie to

come back with Meg. I’m going to take her to visit

Courtney. She’s worried and maybe Meg will cheer her

up. She always finds a way to cheer me no matter how

bad my day is. She’ll find a way to make me laugh or

she’ll start giggling and I can’t help but smile.”

Jason smiled thinking about his little angel.

“Yeah man she does the same thing to me,” Sonny said

walking over to the waiting room with Jason.

“Where’s Carly?” Jason asked.

“She’s in visiting with Courtney, I tried to go in to

visit but they kicked me out. Something about girl

talk…blah, blah, blah.” Jason laughed and they

continued to talk while they waited for Dillon and

Georgie to come back with Meg.

Dillon, Georgie, and Meg walked around the corner,

down the hall, and around the corner again and saw a

vending machine.

They walked up in front of it. Dillon looked down at

Meg, “ What do you want sweetheart?” he asked. Meg

giggled when he called her sweetheart.

“May I have some juice and those crackers with the

cheese in the middle please?” she asked politely.

“Sure thing.” He said.

He looked at Georgie, “and you?” he asked her.

“That sounds good to me too.” She said looking down at

Meg. Meg looked up at Georgie and smiled at her, she

always liked Georgie.

Dillon nodded and put the money in the machine and

pushed the appropriate buttons. They waited a few

minutes but nothing came out.

While, the vending machine distracted Dillon and

Georgie, Meg looked around and saw her Uncle AJ

walking down the hall and around the corner.

She looked up at Dillon who was hitting the machine

and tried to talk to him and tell him that she wanted

to go say hi to her Uncle AJ, “ Dillon look…” she

tried to show Dillon AJ.

“Hold on Meg.” Dillon said. She decided to go after

him by her self. She walked down the hall and around

the corner. She saw AJ talking to a doctor and she

started down the hall.

The door to the stairwell opened and a guy stepped

out. She looked up to say hi but got scared. It was

the guard that ran after Meg on the docks. He looked

at her and got a grin on his face.

“Boss is going to be so happy when I bring you to him

that he’ll probably give me a raise. Maybe he’ll let

me have a little fun with you too.” He said stilling

grinning and he reached for Meg. Meg screamed and

started to back away but fell.

AJ heard someone scream and turned away from his

conversation with the doctor. He saw a guy pick up a

little girl that was screaming and trying to get away.

“Call security.” He said to the doctor and started to

run down the hall. When he got closer he saw that it

was his niece. “Hold on Meg…” he screamed down the

hall.

The guy turned around and saw AJ running down the

hall. He dropped her and ran in the other direction.

AJ ran to Meg, who was still on the ground, and picked

her up.

“Uncle AJ,” she said crying and holding her arm.

“It’s okay sweetie I won’t let him hurt you.” He said.

Meg buried her face in his chest and he rocked her

back and forth, rubbing her back just like Jason does

to calm her down.

“Owe Uncle AJ it hurts.” She said still holding her

arm and crying.

“It’s okay honey let’s go find your daddy,” he said

picking her up and headed to the nurse’s station.

He turned the corner and saw Dillon and Georgie

looking around and calling for Meg. Dillon looked up

and saw AJ round the corner with a crying Meg in his

arms. He ran up to him, “ What happen?” he asked.

“A guy tried to grab her. Were you supposed to be

watching her?” he yelled at him. Dillon looked to the

ground and nodded

“Well you didn’t do a very good job about it did you?”

he asked still yelling, “Where’s Jason?”

“He’s at the nurse’s station talking to Mr. Corinthos.

He asked me to watch her and I offered to bring her to

the vending machine.” He said not making eye contact

with AJ.

AJ turned the corner and heading towards the nurse’s

station with Meg still crying. Dillon and Georgie

followed him. Dillon felt really bad. Meg could have

gotten really hurt.

Jason and Sonny were waiting for Dillon and Georgie to

come back with Meg. Jason looked up to see AJ carrying

Meg who was still crying. He stood up and ran over to

him.

“AJ what happen?” he asked. He took Meg from him and

she continued to cry.

“I was talking to Dr. Clever and I heard her scream. I

turned around and saw a guy trying to grab her. I ran

down the hall he saw me coming dropped her and ran. I

think she broke wrist.”

“Oh my God baby I’m so sorry.” He said and rocked her

back and forth. She calmed down and stopped crying but

she started to shake. “It’s okay pumpkin, daddy’s here

now I won’t leave again I promise.” Jason looked up at

AJ, “Thank you AJ”

“Where the hell were Dillon and Georgie?” Sonny asked

raising his voice but stopped when Meg started to

talk.

“I saw Uncle AJ go around the other hallway and I

wanted to say hi so I went to go find him. Then one of

the bad men that was on the docks came out of a room

and grabbed my arm and now it hurts really bad.” She

said crying again.

“It’s okay baby we’ll have grandma or grandpa look at

your arm okay?” he said rubbing her back and swayed

back and forth. Meg buried her face in his chest

again.

He looked up at AJ and said, “Thank you so much, I

don’t even want to think about what would have

happened if you weren’t there.”

“It’s okay man, I’m just glad she’s all right.” AJ

said putting his hand on Jason’s shoulder. “I’ll go

find mom or dad.” He said walking away in search for

Monica or Alan.

Jason walked to the waiting room and sat down with

Meg. She hung on to him tightly. Dillon walked up to

him, “ Hey Jason I’m so sorry man. I was trying to get

the vending machine to work and I looked down and she

was gone.”

All of a sudden Sonny grabbed Dillon by the collar of

his shirt and said, “Do you have any idea what could

have happen to her if AJ wasn’t there?” Dillon was

scared to death. Sonny Corinthos had him by the

collar.

“Sonny, stop, calm down she’s okay now.” Jason said

looking up at Sonny. He let go of Dillon’s collar and

sat down next to Jason and Meg.

“I’m sorry Jason,” Dillon said one more time before

turning to leave with Georgie.

Jason looked up and stopped them “It’s okay it’s not

your fault.” And they left.

AJ and Alan walked up to Jason, Meg and Sonny. “Hey,

AJ told me what happened how’s she doing?” he asked

bending down in from of them and looked at Meg.

“She’s still shaken up and I think she broke her

wrist. Everything she moves it she screams in pain.”

“Okay we’ll get an x-ray and see if she needs a cast.

Follow me.” Alan said. Jason, Meg and AJ followed

Jason to an examining room. Sonny stayed there and

waited for Carly.

Alan took an x-ray of Meg’s hand and it was broken. He

walked into her room to find Meg asleep in Jason’s

lap. AJ was sitting in a chair across the room. “Hey,

she does have a broken. She’ll have to have a cast. “

Meg stirred awake forgot that her arm was hurt and

went to rub her eyes. She cried out in pain and she

turned her head into Jason’s chest and he hugged her.

Alan walked up in front of her and knelt down. She

turned around and saw her that her grandpa was back.

She jumped down off Jason’s lap and gave him a hug

with her good arm. Alan picked her up and sat down

with her in his lap. “Hey Meg, They’re going to have

to put a cast on your arm so it’ll feel better okay.”

“Is it going to hurt,” she asked getting comfortable

in Alan’s lap.

“No sweetie, in fact you can pick out any color you

want it to be, pink, red, even snot green.”

She giggled when he said that and looked up at him,

“Can I have blue, that’s my favorite color and mine,

daddy’s and mommy’s eyes are blue too.” She explained

to him

“Sure can.” he said.

She gave him a kiss on the cheek and hopped down from

his lap and walked over to Jason. She tried to climb

up but couldn’t with one arm so Jason picked her up

set her down on his lap. She got comfortable and

waited for the cast to be put on.

A little while later she had her blue cast and was

off to visit her mommy.

Courtney was sitting in her room waiting for Jason and

Meg to show up when Jason walked through the door,

alone.

“Hey what took you so long I was getting worried?” she

asked.

Jason looked up at her. He really didn’t want to tell

her that someone tried to grab Meg again and she broke

her wrist.

“We had a problem.” He said walking into the room

further and took her hand.

“Is Meg all right? Where is she?” she asked with a

confused look on her face and started to panic.

“Meg’s fine she’s outside the room.” He said trying to

find a way to tell her. “ I have to tell you something

before she comes in though. Dillon and Georgie took

Meg to the vending machine when we got here because I

had to talk to Sonny. She saw AJ walk around the

corner and she went to find him to say hi.” He paused

for a minute, “someone tried to grab her.”

“Is she all right? I want to see her.” Courtney said

trying to sit up but got dizzy and suddenly laid back

down.

Jason, quickly put his hand on the side of her face

and looked into her eyes. She looked up at Jason tears

in her eyes, “she’s fine, are you okay?”

“I just got dizzy. I’m okay but I think we should tell

Dr. Jones. Later, though, just tell me what else

happened.” Jason, still a little worried, removed his

hand from the side of her face and took her hand. He

didn’t want to tell her the rest but knew he had to.

“AJ stopped him before he could take her. But she

broke her wrist.”

“Oh God,” she said and started to cry. Jason engulfed

her in a hug and stroked her hair. He needed to calm

her down before she got dizzy again. “Why are they

coming after us, Jase?” she asked

“It’s okay,” he said.

Few minutes later she calmed down and wanted to see

Meg. Jason went outside the room and got Meg and

thanked Sonny for watching her. He brought Meg in the

room and she saw her mommy on the bed.

“Mommy,” she squealed. She ran and jumped up on the

bed next to Courtney and gave her the biggest hug in

the world, “ I missed you mommy.”

“I missed you too, baby.” She said tears in her eyes.

“What’s wrong mommy does you head still hurts?” Meg

said pointed at bandage on Courtney’s head.

“No sweetie I’m just happy that you’re okay.” She said

“I’m okay mommy. Uncle AJ stopped him from hurting me.

He was really scared of Uncle AJ,” she said giggling a

little. Courtney smiled at how brave her little girl

was.

“Did you have fun at Uncle Nikolas and Aunt Emily’s

house?” she asked her daughter while she played with

her wedding rings.

“We watched The Lion King.” She explained, “and we

camped inside isn’t that silly mommy,” she asked her

mommy.

She looked at Jason with a confused look on her face,

“Nikolas set up a tent in the living room.” He

explains.

She turned back to Meg and said, “Yeah sweetie that is

silly. So what else did you do?” Meg explained every

thing that she did with Nikolas and Emily and she even

explained how she made Uncle Nikolas pretty, which

made Courtney and Jason laugh hysterically.

Jason, Courtney, and Meg spent the rest of the

afternoon playing. Meg made Jason and Courtney sign

her cast. She even made the nurses that came in sign

her cast too.

Around four o’clock Dr. Jones came in to check on

Courtney. Meg scooted out of the bed and walked up to

the doctor.

“Hello, my name is Meg Caroline Morgan. My middle name

is named after my Aunt Carly.” She said holding out

her hand to Dr. Jones.

Dr. Jones knelt down and shook her hand, “well hello

there cutie my name is Dr. Jones.”

She giggled and ran back to the bed. She reached up

grabbed the sharpie from the table beside the bed and

ran back. She held the marker up and said, “Can sign

my cast?” she asked.

“Sure I will.” He took the marker and bent down in

front of Meg and signed her cast. When he was done Meg

ran to Jason and hopped up in his lap. She looked back

at Dr. Jones and he winked at her causing her to

giggle and bury her head in Jason’s chest.

Dr. Jones walked over and checked Courtney out and he

said, “I’ll be back in a minute,” and left. Courtney

looked at Jason with a worried look on his face. He

back at Courtney worried himself.

Fifteen minutes latter we walked back in. He brought a

stool up and sat down. “Sorry, I left like that. I’m a

little concerned. You’re blood pressure is a little

high. How are you feeling?” he asked flipping through

her chart again.

“Well my head still hurt and I got dizzy when I tried

to sit up.” She said still looking at Jason with

worry. He smiled and tried to reassure her the best he

could but he was worried to.

“We can give you something for the pain and as for the

dizziness goes it’s not uncommon for people with a

head injury as sever as yours to experience dizziness,

actually I’m surprised you didn’t experience before,

but I’m going to run some test this could tie into the

high blood pressure, but I’m pretty sure it’s not and

I just want to make sure nothing else is wrong.

Everything else looks normal so I have no reason to

believe that anything is serious.”

Courtney nodded her head and looked away him. She was

reassured a little, but there was still a concern. “I

need you to rest as much you can, stress can also

bring your blood pressure up.” He got up and walked to

the door. He turned around, “I know probably concerned

but don’t jump to any conclusions yet. Not until we

figure out what’s causing you’re pressure to rise. If

you have any questions have them page me.” He said and

left.

Jason stood up and sat and now sleeping Meg down in

the chair and walked next to Courtney and took her

hand in his. “It’ll to be okay. We’ll get through

this.” He said tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

Courtney looked at him and said, “ I know.” Jason

could tell she was still worried and cupped her face

with his hands. She looked into his eyes and the tears

started to fall. He hugged her and kissed her

forehead.

She calmed down a few minutes later and looked over

Jason’s shoulder and saw her angel sleeping. She

pulled away and looked up at Jason, “I think you

should bring her home it’s almost six thirty.”

Jason looked over at Meg who was hanging off the chair

but still very much asleep. He got up off the bed and

went over to the chair and readjusted her so she

didn’t fall off

He turned and said, “I’ll call Nikolas and see if

he’ll come and pick her up. I don’t want to leave

alone tonight.” She opened her mouth to protest but he

started to talk again, “I can tell you’re still

worried and I’m not going to leave you alone tonight

and don’t even try to talk me into bringing her home.”

He said soft but firmly.

She nodded and thought that it was pointless to argue

with him. She also thought that she was still worried

and it would be nice for him to be there with her. He

covered Meg with his jacket and walked over to the bed

and kissed her, “I’ll be right back.” He said and

walked out of the room. Before he left he looked

through the window at his wife and daughter and

thought he couldn’t stand it if any thing happened to

them. A single tear streaming down his check and he

wiped it away.

Nikolas was

watching a television and Emily was reading a book

when the phone rang. Nikolas got and answered it.

“Hello,” he said.

“Hey, Nikolas it’s Jason.”

“Hey Jase, What’s going on?”

“It’s been a pretty rough day.” He replied with a

sigh.

“Why what’s going on. Is Courtney and Meg all right?”

he asked with concern in his voice.

“Yeah, they tried to take Meg again. AJ stopped them

but she broke her wrist.”

“Oh my God that’s awful.” Nikolas said, causing Emily

to turn around and look up at him.

“Yeah that’s not all.” He said rubbing his hands over

his face, “Courtney blood pressure is high and she got

dizzy earlier. The doctors think it’s nothing but

they’re running tests any way and she’s still

worried.”

“Oh my God.”

“Can I talk to Emily?”

“Yeah,” he turned around and held out the phone. “Jase

wants to talk to you. They tried to take Meg again.

She broke he wrist and Courtney’s blood pressure’s

high.”

Emily got up from the couch and took the phone from

Nikolas, “ Oh my god Jase I’m so sorry.”

“Em they say it’s nothing but I’m still scared. I

don’t know what I’ll do if I lose her and I can’t tell

her that I’m scared because she’s scared too. What am

I going to do?” he asked his sister hoping she’ll have

an answer for him.

“Jase you got to tell her how you feel. It’s not good

for both of if you hold it in.” she said.

“You’re right probably thanks Em. Can I speak to

Nikolas again?”

“Yeah, I love you Jase.”

“I love you too Em.” He said.

“Hey man.” He heard Nikolas say.

“Hey, can you do me a favor?” he asked

“Sure anything you need.”

“Can you come and pick up Meg? I really don’t want to

leave Courtney.”

“Sure I’ll be right there.”

“Thanks man, Bye.”

“Bye.” Nikolas said and hung up the phone. He kissed

Emily good-bye and left for the hospital.

Jason went back to the room and walked in to find that

Meg had woken up and climbed up on the bed and now she

and Courtney were asleep, snuggled up close to each

other.

Jason crossed the room and sat down in the chair and

just watched the two most important girls in his life.

He smiled when he remembered when Courtney told him

that she was pregnant. Thought of when Meg was born.

He was so happy. The first time he held her, he looked

down at his beautiful angel and she took a hold of his

finger and squeezed. He remembered her first smile. He

remembered her first birthday and the first time he

heard that amazing giggle. He leaned back in the chair

and closed his eyes. He soon fell asleep with a smile

on his face.

Nikolas opened the door to Courtney’s room and found

all three of hem asleep. Courtney and Meg were on the

bed and Jason was asleep in the chair, with a big

smile on his face. Nikolas walked across the room and

gently shook Jason awake.

“Jase, Jason… Jason wake up man.” Jason stirred and

opened his eyes to see Nikolas standing over him.

He sat up and rubbed his eyes and yawned. “I must have

dozed off.”

“You look exhausted man.” Nikolas said he said looking

over to see Courtney and Meg still asleep.

“Thanks for coming down here, man. I would have

brought her but I didn’t want to leave Courtney

alone.” He said looking over at them as well.

“I understand.” He said putting his hand on Jason

shoulder.

Courtney began stir and woke up and looked over to see

Nikolas talking to Jason. “Hey Nikolas when did you

get here?” she asked sitting up.

Meg heard Nikolas’ name and she immediately woke up.

“Uncle Nikolas,” she squealed and stood up and jumped

into Nikolas’ arms.

“Hey sweetie how you doing?” he asked, kissing her

forehead.

“Look what grandpa put on my wrist.” She said

extending her arm out so Nikolas could see.

“Whoa a blue one.” He said not knowing what else to

say.

“So am I going to sleep over again tonight?” she

asked.

“Sure are,” he said

“Cool,” she said, “Can I make you pretty again like

last time?” she asked with a giggle. Jason and

Courtney laughed and Nikolas looked at them with a

horrified look on his face. “Please Uncle Nikolas,”

she said giving him puppy dog eyes and pouting.

“How can you resist that face, Uncle Nikolas,”

Courtney said with a hint of laughter in her voice.

“Easily,” causing Jason and Courtney to laugh. Nikolas

looked down at her and saw her frown, “all right, all

right. I’ll maybe let you.” She smiled up at him and

squealed.

“You better go you guys it’s getting late and you want

to make sure you have enough time to get pretty before

you go to bed,” Jason said and smiled.

“Ha, Ha very funny,” Nikolas said back.

“Give you mommy and daddy a kiss so we can leave.

You’re Aunt’s cooking us dinner.” Nikolas said setting

her down on the floor.

“What is she cooking?” she asked.

“I’ll give you a hint. What’s you’re favorite food in

the whole world.” Nikolas asked.

Meg’s eyes lit up and yelled, “Chicken fingers.”

“That’s right.” Nikolas said smiling at her.

She ran up to Jason and jumped up in his arms and gave

him a kiss and a hug. Jason set her down on the bed

and Meg did the same thing to Courtney before jumping

off the bed and into Nikolas’ arms again.

“Good-night you guys,” Nikolas said and left carrying

a giggling Meg out of the room.

Jason walked over to the bed and sat down next to

Courtney. “Why don’t you go back to sleep. You need to

rest.” Jason said looking away.

Courtney put her hand on his head and made him look at

her, “Jason talk to me. I can tell something’s wrong.

Don’t shut me out.” She said looked in his eyes.

Jason leaned into her touch and rested his forehead

against hers and closed his eyes. Courtney could tell

this was hard for him so she didn’t say anything. He

opened his eyes and tears streamed down his face. “I’m

scared. Dr. Jones said it was probably nothing but I’m

still scared. I don’t want to lose you. You’re

everything to me. I didn’t want to tell you I was

scared because I knew you were scared too. I love you

so much.” He said looking into her eyes.

“I love you too Jason. I am scared but please don’t

push me away. It’s just going to make things worse.”

She said

“I’m sorry.” He said. “I need you so much.” He leaned

in and kissed her with all the emotion he felt in his

heart and soul. They pulled away and rested their

foreheads together again. “Why don’t you get some

rest?”

“I will if you will.” She said scooting over for him

to lie down. He lies down next to her and wrapped his

arms around her while she rested her head on his

chest, right above his heart. They fell asleep

listening to each other breath.

Chapter 6 Plan Under Way

Abandoned warehouse, Frankie was telling Dirk his

plan, “First we take the little girl and pretend we’re

going to trade her for territory. Then we’ll kill her

slow and painful.” He said with a smile. Every word

Frankie said made Dirk’s stomach turn, “then we do the

same thing to his wife. Then we’ll move on to

Corinthos’ family. Finally we’ll kill them.” Dirk

thought he had to stop this before he does hurt their

family.

“Frankie, I don’t think we should do this. It’s just a

girl and her daughter. They never did anything to us.”

He tried to get his boss to listen.

Frankie looked at Dirk in shock “I thought you were

with me on this. We destroy his family just like he

destroy mine.”

“It’s not right Frankie. We don’t go after family.” He

said.

“Fine, if you want to bail out, go. I don’t need you I

can do this on myself.” He yelled at him, pointing to

the door

Dirk tried to get through to him one more time but he

wouldn’t listen. Dirk left, thinking that he had to

stop this.

Frankie lit a cigar and started talking to himself, “I

don’t need him. I can do this on my own.” He puffed on

his cigar and talked again, “I’ll get you Corinthos’

you and you enforcer will pay.” He started to laugh.

There was a knock on the door, “Come in.”

One of Frankie’s men walked in. “Mr. Ortega, sir.

We’re ready to go ahead with the plan. The girl just

left the hospital with her Uncle what do you want us

to do now.”

”Move, now.” He said and the guard left.

“We’re home.” Nikolas said walking through the front

door with Meg. He brought her to the couch and sat her

down. “I’m going to go see if dinners ready. Why don’t

you watch television until I come back in okay?”

“Okay Uncle Nikolas.” She said looking up at him and

smiling.

Nikolas walked into the kitchen and smelled the

chicken Emily was cooking. “Hey smells good.” He said

coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her

waist. She turned around in his arms and looked up at

him.

“Hey,” she said kissing him. It was only suppose to

last a few seconds but it suddenly grew longer. They

stopped when they heard a giggle from the doorway.

They turned to find Meg had caught them red handed.

“Ewww, yucky boy germs,” she said giggling again.

“Oh, yucky boy germs huh.” Nikolas said chasing her

back to the couch, Emily following, and giving her

kisses all over her face and tickling her.

All of a sudden the door was kicked in and four guys

came in. Emily ran over to Nikolas and he pulled her

and Meg behind him. “Ah, how sweet. Family bonding,”

One of them said, reaching behind Nikolas for Meg.

Nikolas grabbed him arm and punched him. The guy fell

to the ground. Another guy came up and grabbed

Nikolas. Nikolas punched him and kneed him in the

stomach. That guy slumped to the ground, also. Nikolas

went for the third guy but the he heard a shot and

turned around to see the guy at the door had a gun on

him. Nikolas backed up and moved himself in between

Meg and Emily.

The guy with the gun came up in from of Nikolas and

hit him with the gun and he fell to the ground.

“Nikolas…” Emily cried out. The guy walked up to Emily

and she stood in from of Meg. “Why are you doing this

she’s just a little girl.” She said glaring at him.

“Shut up” he said and hit her across the face and she

fell.

“Uncle Nikolas, Aunt Emily,” Meg screamed with tears

in her eyes. She tried to run to Nikolas but the guy

grabbed her and picked her up. The two guys carried

out to a van, put her inside and drove away. Leaving

two of their men behind.

“Meg…Emily…” Nikolas said before passing out.

Jason woke up to the shrill sound of his cell phone.

He pulled his arm out from under Courtney quickly so

she didn’t wake. He walked across the room, to the

table. He picked up his cell phone.

“Morgan,” he said sleep evident in his voice.

“Mr. Morgan. I have your daughter,” a man said on the

other end.

“Who is this?” Jason said.

“You know who this is.”

“You hurt one hair on her head and I am going to hunt

you down and kill you.” He yelled. Courtney stirred

but didn’t wake up. “I want to talk to my daughter.”

He said lowering his voice but sounded cold.

Frankie turned around to Meg who was curled up in a

ball on a bed. “Here you go. Your daddy wants to say

hi.” He said coldly causing Meg to get a chill.

She jumped up from the bed and took the phone from

Frankie. He gave her the phone and left, thinking that

she wouldn’t be able to tell Morgan where she was.

“Daddy…” she had tears streaming down her face.

“Oh my God pumpkin are you okay?” trying to hold back

his tears because it would just scare Meg more then

she all ready is.

“Yeah daddy I’m not hurt.” She said crying now.

“Daddy’s going to get you back okay pumpkin? I

promise. I love you so much.” He said trying to

reassure her that everything would be okay.

“I know daddy I love you too. They hurt Uncle Nikolas

and Aunt Emily though.”

“I’ll make sure they’re all right okay baby.”

“Okay”

“Just do what they tell you to do and they won’t hurt

you okay?”

“Okay”.

“Can you tell me where you are baby?” he asked hoping

that she could give him a clue to where she was.

“Daddy it looks like the place where you work. A

warehouse. I’m in a room with a bed. In the other room

they had boxes but I don’t know what was in them.

Daddy I’m scared please find me.”

“I’m coming, baby. I am going to get Uncle Sonny and

come and get you okay. Be strong baby.” He said

knowing she would.

“I will daddy…”

Frankie walked back in and yanked the phone from her

hands, “time’s up.” He brought the phone to his ear

and said, Meg ran back to the bed and curled up in a

ball again. “If you want to get your daughter back

listen carefully. First, I want five million dollars

tomorrow at noon on pier 57. I want you and Mr.

Corinthos to deliver it alone, no guards. Then you’ll

be able to visit her. Second, I have a shipment coming

in and I want use your transportation network to bring

it in. Once shipment is safely in Port Charles you’ll

get your daughter.

“I’ll do whatever you want just don’t hurt my

daughter,” he said coldly, “or you’ll wish you never

came to this town.” He took a deep breath and

continued, “I still don’t understand why you’re after

my family.”

“You’ll find out soon enough. Remember noon don’t be

late, “ and he hung up the phone and looked at Meg,

“you’re daddy must really loves you.” He turned and

walked out.

Jason hung up the phone and threw it across the room

causing Courtney to wake up. “Jase, what’s going on?

What’s wrong?”

Jason turned around and looked her in the eyes. He

couldn’t find the words. All he did was stare at her.

Courtney automatically knew what happen by the look in

his eyes. She saw fear, anger, and love all at the

same time and she knew that they must have her. “No,

they got her haven’t they?” she asked him, tears

falling from her eyes. All he could do was nod.

He came up beside her and engulfed her in a hug and

whispered in his ear, “I’m going to get her back, I

promise. I’m so sorry.” He kept telling her he’d bring

her back over and over. He pulled away and kissed her.

“I’m going to go talk to Sonny. I’ll have Carly come

down and I’m going to put Max outside the room okay?

I’m going to get her back.” He said kissing her one

last time and walked to the room but turned around

when Courtney talked.

“I believe you Jase. Be carefully.” He nodded and

left.

Jason walked up to the pay phone and dialed Sonny’s

number. He heard Sonny on the other line, “Corinthos”

“Sonny its Jason. Ortega got Meg we got to get her

back. I talked to her and I think I know where he

might have her.”

“Oh my God. We’ll get her back. What did they say?”

“They said they wanted money and the use of our

transportation network to receive a shipment.”

“We’ll give it to them.”

“Can Carly come down with Courtney obviously she’s not

taking this really good and I can’t leave her here

while we go get Meg.”

“Yeah sure.”

“Oh and we need to send someone over to Nikolas and

Emily’s house. Meg said that they were hurt.”

“Okay I’ll send someone over there right now.”

“Thanks I’ll be over there in a minute to go over what

we need to do.”

“Okay” and they ended their telephone conversation and

Jason got on the elevator.

Chapter 7 Getting Meg Back

Jason had arrived at Sonny 45 minutes ago and they

were going over the plan when there was a knock at the

door. Johnny came in and said, “Mr. Corinthos there’s

a guy out here that he could help with Meg.”

Sonny looked at Jason and back at Johnny, “Send him

in, Johnny.”

Johnny nodded. Johnny turned around but before he let

the guy in he turned and said, “Mr. Morgan. I’m really

sorry about Meg. The other guards and I really adored

her. We’ll do anything to help you get her back, sir.”

Johnny said sincerely.

“Thanks, Johnny.” Jason said and Johnny left and

brought the guy in.

Jason stood up and walked over to him, “Johnny said

you could help in my daughters kidnapping?” Jason

said, his eyes cold and heartless.

He looked back at him, “My name is Dirk. I use to work

for the guy who took her but I quit when he started to

go after your family. I believe that family should

stay out of the business.”

All of a sudden, Jason grabbed Dirk and pinned him

against the wall, “Why didn’t you come to us before

they took my daughter?” he asked.

“I was giving Frank a chance to reconsider.” He gasped

out.

Sonny went over and put his hand on his shoulder.

Jason didn’t move a muscle. “Jason, let him go he

could help.” Jason looked over at Sonny and knew that

he was right. He reluctantly pulled away and Dirk fell

to his knees and gasped for air.

“Why is he going after my family?” Jason asked coldly.

“He’s going after your family because you killed his

brother, Jesse.” He explained standing up.

“That’s where we heard the name. Jesse Ortega.

Remember, about 2 years ago when a guy went after

Carly, Michael, Morgan, Courtney, and Meg. He tried to

cut the brakes on the car they were driving in but we

got a tip that he did it and stopped them before they

got in the car and then we eliminate him.” Jason just

nodded. That was the scariest thing in the world Jason

had to experience until now.

“But that’s not the whole reason…” he began but

Jason’s phone rang.

“Morgan.”

“Mr. Morgan, it’s Greg. I’m at Mr. and Mrs.

Cassadine’s house. They’re okay they just got a bump

on their heads.

“Thanks Greg,” Jason said and went to hang up the

phone but stopped when he heard Greg talk again.

“Mr. Morgan wait. They left two guys behind and we

tied him up what do you want me to do with them?” Greg

asked.

“Take care of them we don’t need them.” He said coldly

into the phone and hung up.

He turned to Sonny and said, “Nikolas and Emily are

okay they just go knocked out but they’ll be fine.

They left two guys behind and Greg are taking care of

them now.” Sonny nodded and asked Dirk to continue.

“That’s not the only reason why he’s going after you,”

Dirk explained the whole story. How Frankie was in

love with Jesse’s wife and she killed herself after

Jesse died. And then his father and mother died too.

“It’s a really sad story but it wasn’t your fault that

his parents and sister-in-law died and I still don’t

think he’s doing the right thing.” Dirk turned to

Jason who was pacing on the floor, “He said that he

was going to make you believe that he was going to let

her go and then he was going to kill her,” Jason

looked up at Sonny worried. “But we still have time. I

can help you get your daughter back Mr. Morgan.”

“Okay…” he said and they spent the rest of the night

going over their plan for tomorrow.

Jason, Sonny, Dirk, Johnny, Max, and Marco were

outside the warehouse where Frankie had Meg. They went

over their plan one more time. Sonny, Johnny, Max, and

Marco were to go in and take out as many guards they

can and Jason and Dirk were to go in, find Meg and get

her out. All six got out of the van and parted way.

Jason and Dirk went around to the side and slipped in

the back door and the rest went through the front and

the sides taking out guards every now and then.

Once Dirk and Jason enter through the back door Dirk

turned to Jason and said, “I think we should split up.

We’ll find her quicker that way.”

“You find my daughter before me don’t let anything

happen to her.” Jason replied looking into his eyes.

“I’ll protect her with my life Mr. Morgan I promise.”

With that said they left in search for Meg.

Meg was lying on the bed when she heard the door open

and she looked up. Fear crossed her face when she saw

who it was. It was the guy who tried to grab her in

the hospital when she went to say hi to Uncle AJ.

“Hey, I told you boss would let me have fun with you.”

He said walking over to the bed.

All of a sudden he felt someone hit him from behind

and he slumped to the ground. Meg looked up behind him

to see and guy that she didn’t know. “Sick bastard.”

He said under his breath dropping the medal pipe from

his hand and looking at Meg.

“Please don’t hurt me.” She said crouching in the

middle of the bed.

“Hey sweetie, I’m not going to hurt you. My name is

Dirk. I’m here to bring you back to you daddy.” He

said trying to gain the little girls trust so he could

get her out of here and to Jason as quick as possible.

“You’re daddy’s here too. He’s waiting for us.” Dirk

said holding out his hand. Meg heard that her daddy

was here and she jumped from the bed into Dirk’s arms

and cried. He was surprised at first but he hugged her

back. “It’s all right you’re safe now.” He said. He

picked her up and headed out the door.

Dirk started to walk down the hall but someone turned

the corner and saw him. He drew his gun and said,

“Dirk put her down right now.” He turned around to see

Frankie holding his gun on him. Meg began to shake and

he whispered in her ear so Frankie couldn’t hear.

“It’s okay I’m not going to let him hurt you.” He set

Meg down and moved in between her and the gun.

“Frankie, this is wrong you shouldn’t be doing this.

She’s just a little girl.” He said holding on to Meg’s

hand to reassure her.

“No you’re wrong. I thought you were my friend.”

Frankie yelled back.

“I was your friend Frankie but that was before you

started going after women and children.” He said.

“You’re in my way Dirk. Get out of the…” he started to

say but Dirk pulled out his gun with his the hand he

wasn’t holding Meg’s hand with.

“I’m not going to let you hurt her.” He said pointing

the gun at Frankie head.

“Well then you’re dead too,” he said. All of a sudden

two shots rang out.

Jason heard gunshots and ran to the direction of them.

His heart was in his throat. He hoped that Meg was all

right. He thought he couldn’t lose her as he raced to

find out if his daughter was okay or not.

In another part of the warehouse Sonny, Johnny, Max

and Marco heard them also and ran to the sound of the

gunshots too.

Dirk and Frankie both fell to the ground. Frankie was

shot in the head, died instantly, and Dirk was shot in

the arm.

Meg went to Dirk’s side, “Mr. Dirk,” she said. She saw

the blood on his arm. She took off the jacket she had

on and wrapped it around his arm. Dirk looked up and

smiled at her. He saw tears in her eyes and he reached

up and wiped them away.

“It’s okay sweetheart. Everything’s okay.” He said.

She started to shake and continue to cry. She laid he

head on his shoulder and cried.

Jason rounded the corner, “Meg…” he yelled down the

hall when he saw her. She looked up and saw her daddy.

She jumped up and ran into his arms and started to

cry.

“Oh thank God you’re all right I thought I lost you.”

She mumbled something in his chest. He couldn’t make

it out. For one thing she was crying and for another

thing her head was buried in his chest. He looked over

and saw Dirk leaning up against the wall.

He walked up beside him and knelt down. Still holding

Meg “Hold on man we’ll get you an ambulance.” Jason

said.

Dirk looked up at him and smiled, “You got one brave

and smart little girl Mr. Morgan.” He said pointing to

her jacket that she wrapped around his arm. The

bleeding has completely stopped.

Jason looked at Meg and back at Dirk’s arm. “Yeah I

know.” He said.

Jason sat down next to Dirk and held Meg in his lap.

He rocked her back and forth and rubbed her back until

she had stopped crying and she soon fell asleep in his

arms. It didn’t take long she was exhausted. Jason

leaned back against the wall and rested his on top of

Meg’s, “Thank you God for answering my prayers” he

whispered and kissed her.

Just then Sonny, Johnny, Max, and Marco rounded the

corner. Sonny ran over to Jason and Meg and knelt down

beside them, “Is she okay?”

Jason looked up at Sonny, “She’s fine but Dirk needs

an ambulance.” He said pointing over to Dirk.

“Okay I’ll get one,” Sonny said and took out his cell

phone, “Wait what happened to Frankie?” Sonny asked.

Dirk pointed down the hall to Frankie lying dead on

the floor.

Sonny motioned for Johnny, Max, and Marco. They walked

over, “Yes, sir?”

Sonny pointed down the hall, “Take care of that, will

you?” He said. He stood up and called the ambulance.

Jason rested his head back down on Meg’s head and

sighed. He kept saying to himself ‘Thank God’

Johnny, Max, and Marco took care of Frankie’s body and

made sure no one would find it. The ambulance came and

took Dirk to the hospital and Meg was reunited with

Courtney.

Epilogue

Life got back to normal, well as normal as it could

get. Meg was still her adorable, energetic self. As

soon as she got back home, her Uncle Nikolas let her

make him pretty again.

Dirk got out of the hospital a week after the shooting

and Sonny offered him a job. Now he works for Sonny

and him and Jason are best friends. Meg adores her

Uncle Dirk.

Few months later, Courtney found out she was pregnant.

That was the cause of the high blood pressure and

dizziness. The head injury didn’t hurt the baby at

all. Meg was so happy that she was going to get a

little brother or sister. Nine months later Dirk

Nikolas Morgan was born……………..The End…...………………….for

now.
