Summary: Sonny has fired Jason, but there are more problems Jason and Courtney will face, but now they can face them together. Can Sonny let go of his pride, before all that he loves is destroyed?

Courtney awoke to the smell of pancakes cooking, she laid in bed and thought of Jason. He had finally come back to her, their night together had been magical, but he had lost his job and his bestfriend because of her. "Good Morning sleepy head." Jason was wonderful, "Hey." She replied sleepily. Jason leaned over and kissed her, "You're happy this morning," Jason smiled, he was happy he had the love of his life back in his arms. " So Courtney, what are we going to do today?" Courtney smiled, "Well I have to go to work, so i don't know what you're doing?" He frowned, "Call Bobbie and tell her that you're sick." Courtney laughed and put her hands into his and kissed his lips. " I cannot do that, I haven't been to work since the shooting." Jason frowned, " I could think of some great things to do together." He said as he kissed her neck, Courtney laughed " You know that I would love to stay here with you, but i can't." Courtney's phone rang, " hello, bobbie hey." "Courtney don't worry about coming into work today." "What??" "Carly told me about Jason getting fired and you should be spending time with him, you just got him back." Courtney laughed, "Alright i'll see you at the club tonight, unless Carly calls and tells me not to come. bye." When they hung up she turned around to Jason who was smiling. " Okay, what do you want to do today?" Jason pulled her close and began kissing her.

Bobbie and Carly were smiling, mission accomplished. "Hey Bobbie where's my sexy, beautiful wife?" Carly hated the man and his voice. "AJ, you're sexy, beautiful soon to be ex-wife isn't working today." AJ frowned he had heard that Courtney and Jason were back together. "Is Courtney working at the club tonight?" Carly smirked, " Yeah, she is. But if you show up you will have your kneecaps removed." "Whatever Carly, just tell her i need to talk to her about these divorce papers." Carly wished Jason would just save humanity and kill this maggot. "AJ, why don't you just sign them?" Without answering AJ turned and walked out the door.

Courtney showed up late thanks to Jason, she saw Carly setting up." Hey carly, sorry i'm late." Carly smiled she was glad that she had asked Bobbie to call Courtney. "Hey, it's okay, I'm sure you had a good reason." Then Courtney smiled and turned a deep shade of red. Oh yeah Carly thought Courtney had a very good reason. "Ok Carly, i'm gonna get to work." Carly just smiled.

Sonny sat in his penthouse, he had been getting ready to go to the club when Benny called. Benny told him that there was another shooter in town and that he was going after Courtney. So Sonny decided to head over to the club and talk to Max and Johnny about extra protection for his sister.

When he arrived at the club, Jason and Courtney were there. Courtney was working and Jason was watching her, Sonny figured that Benny had called Jason and told him Courtney might be in danger. When Jason and Courtney began dancing, the lights went out and there was a gun shot.. Courtney was lying on the ground. Jason was kneeling beside her, "Courtney? Can u hear me? Baby, please hang on.. hang on for me. I love you"

When Courtney was out of surgery the doctors said she was fine, Jason stayed by her side and talked to her and just held her. "Jason? Why don't you get some rest?" He turned to see Carly in the doorway, "No, she needs me." Carly came over and put her hand on his shoulder, "Sonny wants to send her away, as soon as she is stronger." Jason heard what she said but he didn't reply, he loved her more then anything.

" I am not leaving Sonny!" Courtney was furious with her brother for doing this to her and to Jason. "Courtney you almost died." "Yeah but i didn't, no matter how far away you send me I will always be your sister and your enemies know that." He knew Courtney was right and that maybe she would be safer closer to him, but he hated the idea of her and Jason. He wanted her to have so much more. "Courtney I love Jason and he loves me." With that she walked out the door and out of her brothers life, until he came to his senses.
