Chapter 3

Courtney walked to the bathroom and immediately threw up in the toilet bowl. Jason had put Cecilia into Christian’s arms and Christian had sat on the couch. Jason had followed her and held her hair out of her face for her. Sonny and Carly stood watching them. They were so happy that Jason was happy. Carly knew that she and this woman would be best friends.

Jason: Feel any better?

Courtney: Yes, I’m ok. I swear. It’s normal.

Jason: I know. I love you so much baby.

Courtney: I love you too. You stole my name for you.

Jason jokingly: Sorry. I forgot what I normally call you.

Courtney: Oh, well that’s nice of you!

She slaps him across the chest lightly

Jason: Ouch! I’m only kidding. I could never forget. You’re my Angel.

Courtney: That’s more like it my baby.

She leaned over and kissed his cheek. She then proceeded to watch her mouth out with water to get the throw-up taste out of her mouth. Carly was so happy for her best friend.

Jason picked her up and brought her out of the bathroom into the livingroom. He layed her on the couch, she took out Jason’s wedding ring from her pocket and put it back on his finger.

Courtney: Prego portimi la sede e faccia amore a me tutta la notte. (Please bring me home and make love to me all night)

Jason: Naturalmente il mio Angelo. (No problem my Angel)

Courtney: Carly, Sonny, Thank you so much for accepting my children and me. We are truly sorry for never telling you but I think we should be getting home now.

Sonny: I understood some of that. Go abbia divertimento. We’ll guardi i capretti. (Have fun. We’ll watch the kids.)

Courtney turned beat red: Oh my god you know what we were saying?

Sonny: Bits and pieces of it.

Carly: What did you say?

Courtney: Nothing!

Sonny: We’ll be watching the kids for a while.

Courtney: No, no it’s fine. We don’t have to faccia l’amore trust me. We’ll be fine. (Make love.)

Sonny: No go.

Courtney: I don’t want to.

Jason: Don’t fight with her Sonny. She’ll beat the hell out of you.

Sonny: Has she beaten the hell out of you yet?

Jason: Yeah, but only when we sleep. She hogs the bed. She kicked the hell out of me one night when she was pregnant with Cecilia.

Courtney: Well at least I don’t wake you up all the time.

Jason: Yeah, but you like when I wake you up.

Courtney: Not when I’m pregnant!

Cecilia started to cry. Courtney took her from Christian: What’s the matter baby face? She’s hungry.

Carly: Do you have a bottle?

Jason: She doesn’t drink from bottles.

Carly: Oh, well you can go upstairs.

Courtney nodded and went upstairs to Carly’s room.

Downstairs

Carly: So, Jason seems like your finally happy!

Jason: I have been for the past 7 years of my life. I love Courtney so much and nothing she could do would ever change that. She gave me children and a wonderful marriage. She’s the only woman who ever trusted me and knew that I would protect her. She knew about the business and yet she never once judged me on it. She didn’t want me to change. She used to tell me that she couldn’t fix me because I’m not broken. I used to think that I wasn’t meant to be happy but then I meet her and from the second we met I knew we’d make it. I fell in love with her the day we met.

Sonny: How did you meet?

Jason: We were at Kellys. She was sitting drinking coffee when her ex-boyfriend walked in with his arm around another woman. They were still together at that point. They had sat down and started making out. Courtney was hurt but not very hurt she wanted to get back at him so she came over to me and she sat down introduced herself and we hit off from there. We dated ever since and now we are married and have our children.

Christian: Tell her the story about how you proposed!

Jason: You love that one because daddy was so stupid.

Christian: No. It was funny!

Jason: Yeah I guess so. Well it was like our 7^th date and I just asked her out of know where to marry me and she had been talking about something and just froze. She said she had to think about it. Then I started to talk about the Yankees trying to change the subject when she said yes. We had only known each other for a month and a half. The whole restaurant had heard me ask her and then everyone was clapping… Then I got up and accidentally pulled the tablecloth off the table.

Sonny: I can picture you doing that!

Christian: How about when momma found out she was pregnant. Tell them that one!

Jason: We were sitting in her livingroom and she said she had been feeling sick so I tried to make her go to the doctor but she wouldn’t go. She said she already knew why. She went into the bathroom and came back out with the test and handed it to me. I looked at it and said ‘what the hell does this mean?’ she laughed at me and said ‘it means I’m pregnant you idiot!’ I grabbed her close to me and hugged her and she says that she’s glad that I’m happy and not mad.  I told her I could never be mad. Then I had given her and engagement ring. It was beautiful she said.

Sonny laughed: Tear, Tear!

Christian: How about when I was 3 and I walked in on your ‘adult game?’

Carly burst out laughing: Caught in the act were we?

Jason: No. He only saw me taking her shirt off and kissing her neck. Courtney kicked him out. It was hilarious.

Christian: Not for me! It was icky!

Carly: Nice, how was the wedding?

Jason: Beautiful. Christian was a month old and we had him stay at Courtney’s sisters house. I brought her to France. We got married just the justice of the peace and us. It was a beautiful wedding. We didn’t need anything big just as long as we were there and happy we were fine.

Sonny: Aw.

Christian: I know one! How about when you ran into the hospital just 1 minute before Cecilia was born.

Jason: Yeah, I almost missed my baby’s birth because of you Sonny!

Sonny: Your choice not to tell us.

Jason: You do understand why we did it though right?

Carly: Of Course!

Courtney yelled from upstairs: Merda!!! (Shit)

Jason: Watch your language!

Courtney: Sorry.

She walked down the stairs: It slipped.

Jason: It slipped my ass.

Courtney: Watch your own language!

Jason: We’re even!

Courtney nodded: Well Carly, I need to put Cecilia down for her nap. So it was nice to meet you, you too Sonny. See you later Baby.

She kissed Jason and walked out of the PH.

Carly: She truly is amazing isn’t she?

Jason with a glint of desire in his eye: You have no idea.

Carly: Jason EW not like that!

Jason: Sorry. She truly is amazing. I love her so much!

Christian: You better love my momma! She loves you to. She told me so! She told me before she told you she said. She told me that once she found out about me she told me how much she loved you.

Jason: That’s nice! I’d never think not to love her. I always have and I always will.

Christian: When is the new baby coming?

Jason: In about 8 months.

Christian: That’s a long time. Is it a boy or a girl?

Jason: I don’t know.

Christian: I hope it’s a boy I’m tired of girls. They whine so much!

Jason: Oh, do I ever know! Your sisters are good. Actually I think you cried more than they ever did. You were a very feisty baby.

Christian: I had to be. I had to get ready for my little sisters that I have to protect!

Jason laughed: That’s right little man. Go and get Savannah please we got to head home. Carly could you do me a favor?

Carly: Depends… Will I like the job?

Jason: Yes

Carly: Then ok! What is it?

Jason: I need you to have the PH redecorated by tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. Get Leticia to watch Cecilia, Morgan, Michael, Savannah and Christian.
