Thanx for all the feedback! It’s the only thing keeping me updating at this point considering my laziness and lack of time. But I just thought of an ending, so don’t worry.

Chapter 10

[Later on that night at 3am]

It was a very slow night at the hospital and into the early hours of the morning. Jax had carefully snuck into the lab technician office and checked the computer, which already had dna files of Courtney, him, Jason and now blood sample indications of the new baby.

He had just found out that the baby's dna matched Jason's blood. Not his. He slammed his fist down as a jolt of emotional pain shot through him. Too late to take back his mistake, he heard movement outside the door and turned the computer off quickly. He hid underneath the desk as a lab technician opened the door and turned on the lights.

Seeing that nobody was there, the lab technician quickly shut off the lights and left.

Jax breathed a sigh of relief as he got back on the computer switching the paternity of Courtney's baby with his, and not Jason's.

Little did Jax know that someone was outside the door, snapping pictures through the window.

Once again the door opened before Jax could hide. "Oh god" He thought. "It's over, I'm caught."

"Hey there big guy" a voice came as the door closed shut. The skinny blonde figure, moved towards Jax and at first he couldn't see her face. But the glow from computer revealed that it was none other that Faith Roscoe.

"What the hell are you doing here?" whispered Jax, frantically.

"You should be asking yourself that," Faith said casually. Jax noticed she had a gun in her hand under the sleeve of her coat and a cell phone in the other.

"Why are you.... how did you know I was here?" Jax asked suspiciously. "Shouldn't Sonny have had your throat by now?"

Faith smiled cockily. "I have my ways. But now see that's where you come in."

Jax shot "It'll be a cold day in hell before I even think about helping you with anything."

"I wouldn't talk like that if I were you," Faith tested. She waved her phone at Jax, showing pictures of him tampering with the DNA of Courtney's baby.

Jaxs' face fell and he knew he was trapped. "What do you want?" he asked angrily.

"That's more like it," Faith answered. "I need you to get me out of the country. You see, I would have gone by now if I wasn't forced into hiding. Anyway Sonny has already taken care of most of the people who work for me and is hot on my trail. To make things easier for you to understand, I need a Jet.... money.... now."

Jax gave her a disgusted look but when Faith raised her gun, Jax sighed and took out his phone to talk to his pilot.

Jax hung up after his conversation. "Well" he started. "My jet just got to Fiji, where my pilot's refuelling. They should be back within 3-5 days."

"Good enough" Faith nodded.

Just then the door opened and the lights were turned on. The lab technician was startled to see people there. "What is this?" he started. "What have you been doing to the computer and the dna system?! I swear, if you have done anything the PCPD will know and...."

BOOM!! Suddenly the lab technician was on the floor lying in a pool of blood.

"What in god's name do you think you're doing?" Jax tried to keep his voice down, as he knew other people in the hospital had heard the gunshot. He couldn't believe he had just made a deal with this psychopath.

"You should be thanking me, ya dumbass" retorted Faith. "That lab technician was our only witness and if he had checked the dna files you tampered with you would be well on your way to the PCPD by now. Most importantly I need you to get me out of the country."

Jax was still all pale. He had no choice but to help Faith, but could he do it at the expense of innocent people's lives?

Faith got out her phone, talked to one of the only people she had left and started for the door.

Jax still couldn't move just staring at the dead body on the floor.

"Are you coming or not?" said Faith.

"Wh- what about the..." stuttered Jax.

"Already taken care of" finished Faith. "Now let's freaking go!!"

It was about 6am in the morning and still dark outside. Jason had woken up but knew it was still too early to get up. They were on the bed now, where he carried her shortly after she had fallen asleep during the movie.

Jason just stared at her lovingly for the next few minutes. He couldn't even remember why they had separated in the first place. All the bad things they had gone through in the past didn't even matter at this moment. They still, and always would love each other. Plus, of all miracles Courtney was pregnant and having a baby that they would raise together.

He gently kissed Courtney on the lips and pulled her closer to him. It didn't take Jason long to fall back to sleep.

~General Hospital~

Jason and Courtney were now in Dr. Meadow's office and waiting for her to return with the paternity results.

Even though they both decided that no matter who the biological father was, Jason would be the one to raise him or her. Still, Jason couldn't help but worry and wanted so badly for the baby to be his.

Courtney noticed his tension and took his hand in hers. "It's going to alright Jason, remember? We're just doing this for closure, no matter what the outcome."

Jason broke out from his thoughts when he felt her hand, and gently squeezed it. He gave her an encouraging smile in return.

Dr. Meadows finally returned, as she got in and shut the door.

"Well first off, I'm sorry for the wait. It's just that our regular lab technician surprisingly hasn't shown up today so I had to find another key into the room, to get the computer results."

"Yeah, ok. Excuses, excuses" thought Jason as his heart picked up pace, just wanting Dr. Meadows to get to the point.

"As it turns out the paternity of the baby....

Courtney squeezed Jason's hand as she awaited the answer.

.... doesn’t appear to match Jason's dna. I'm so very sorry to you both. But at least you have each other to get through this pregnancy. I will see you on Thursday for you next appointment, Courtney. I have to run to another patient, but you can leave whenever you're ready," finished Dr. Meadows, as she closed the door and left.

Jason's world had just fallen in on him, as he was still taking in what the Dr. had just said. It was as if he had gotten hit by a truck. He was so sure that the baby was his.

Courtney's eyes welled up at the thought of her child not being Jason's and the unnecessary guilt took over. She stood up and turned away, not being able to look at Jason.

Jason knew what she was feeling and went over to her. He opened his arms as she ran into them and sobbed into his chest. "I'm sorry Jason! It's all my fault...if I hadn't..."she said between breaths.

He stopped her and held her face in his hands. He kissed away her tears and looked sincerely into her eyes. Jason saw the guilt, pain, hurt. And love, it was still always there and that's what would keep them going.

"Courtney, don't. Don't hurt yourself like this. It's nobody's fault and it doesn't matter. I already love this baby. And you. Even though we're both hurting, we'll get through it. We always do."

Jason smiled as he rested his forehead against hers. "God knows we've been through worst."

Courtney couldn't believe Jason was being so wonderful and accepting about the whole situation. Why was she the one crying? She had hurt him. Courtney forced herself to say something, anything. But instead found herself kissing him, which said everything her heart needed to say.

"Let's go home now,” she whispered as she broke the kiss.

Jason nodded still holding her, as they opened the door and left.

Chapter 11

~Sonny's Penthouse~

"Oh, sweetie I am so sorry,” said Carly as she hugged Courtney in comfort.

"It's alright Carly," said Courtney telling her not to worry. "Jason and I are still together and you wouldn't believe how wonderful he was throughout the whole thing. We're going to raise this child together."

Sonny was in the office already calling lawyers, trying to figure out the paperwork.

"Sonny maybe it's too soon," said Jason. "I mean, I do legally want to be the father but we just got back from the hospital, maybe Courtney and I need more time."

"Jason," said Sonny as he put down the phone. "You're going to have to do this anyways, and why waste any time before that bastard Jax, finds out?"

Jason thought for a moment. " Yeah you're right. I’ll call Justus if you can't find anyone else. Thanks for taking care of this Sonny, I'll see you later."

~The Loft~

"Courtney are you alright with this, I mean it's not too soon to be calling lawyers and stuff?" asked Jason as he hung up his jacket.

Courtney walked over and put her arms around him. "Jason, you know I wouldn't have it any other way. Besides you're already this baby's father and it wouldn't hurt for it to be legal."

Jason smiled nodding. "Hey, I don't think I have work today so what do you want to do?"

Courtney looked at him coyly and pulled him over to the couch. He was ready for her to sit in his lap, but instead she made her way to the TV. She popped in the DVD and made her way back to his arms.

"We, Jason Morgan are going to finish watching this movie without having you fall asleep" said Courtney.

Jason sank back and groaned as Courtney swatted him playfully. She laughed as he gently grabbed her, laying her down. His lips touched hers sensually, and then moved to her stomach and kissed her there too.

After the movie they took a late afternoon nap, but when Courtney reached out for Jason she realized he was gone. A note was left instead:

Dear Courtney,

I'm so sorry I had to leave, but I didn't want to wake you. Sonny called but he said this meeting wouldn't take long so I should be home soon. I love you.

                                                                                         -Jason.

(ps. you're right, the movie wasn't that bad. I kinda actually liked it)

Courtney smiled as the telephone rang.

"Hello?" she said as she answered it.

"Courtney dear, this is Dr. Meadows. How are you doing?"

Courtney couldn't help but worry. "I'm fine doctor, but is everything ok with my baby? Is anything wrong?"

Dr. Meadows chuckled. "Everything is fine Courtney, I just called to tell you that your medication is ready. You can come pick it up now."

Courtney breathed a sigh of relief. "Ok thank you doctor, I will be right there."

~The Docks~

Sonny was waiting, as Jason came down the steps.

"Hey man. About the whole Faith situation thing. What did you find out?" said Sonny.

"Well," started Jason. "She's still in Port Charles, that's for sure. Her place is empty but Max and Marco found one of her guys and got him to confess, that she's gone into hiding. So I'm guessing that someone's helping her. Probably cause she's got them blackmailed."

"Hmmm" thought Sonny. "That sounds like Faith. But any idea who could be helping her?"

Jason shook his head. "Not really, but obviously someone with a lot of money and connections. You think Alcazar?"

Sonny sighed. "Could be. But we need to find out for sure."

Jason nodded as he said goodbye to Sonny and left.

~General Hospital~

[Courtney and Dr. Meadows are outside her office]

"Well Courtney thanks for coming on such short notice, here is your medication. You don't want to be taking any risks with this pregnancy" said Dr. Meadows.

"Oh by the way how are you and Jason doing, have you told Jax that he is the father yet?" asked the Doctor.

Courtney shifted uncomfortably. "No, haven't. I'm not sure how to break it to him or if I even want to."

Dr. Meadows began. "I understand your situation. But the stress whether you recognize it or not, isn't good for this baby."

"I understand" said Courtney knowing what she would soon have to do.

"Thank you, Doctor. I'll see you at my next appointment. Bye"

Courtney turned the corner and ran into someone.

"Oh, excuse me" she said not looking up.

"Courtney is it true?" came an unmistakeable Australian drawl.

The blonde was mortified when she looked up to see who it was.

"Jax are you spying on me?" asked Courtney outraged. "What are you thinking?!? Eavesdropping in on my conversations?!

"Courtney just answer my question. Are you pregnant with my child?" asked Jax pleadingly, fully knowing what the answer was.

Courtney sighed. It was now or never. "Yes, Jax. But before you get ahead of yourself...."

She was interupted as Jax put on a fake grin and gave her a hug, to which she would not give back.

"Oh God Courtney this is amazing! I'm so happy for us. I'm going to be a father...."

"Jax that's enough!" she said as she pushed herself out of his embrace.

Courtney continued. "We are not together anymore. I love Jason and he and I are going to raise this baby together, he will be the father."

Jax felt like he had just been slapped. He knew that stress and arguing wouldn't do good for Courtney or the baby so he decided to tone it down.

"But Courtney this is OUR baby, yours and mine" Jax said.

"Jax you'll get to visit of course, if it's ok with Jason," said Courtney.

"To hell with Jason. But I don't want to just visit. I want to be part of this child's life, I want to watch him or her grow up, and call me Daddy...." pleaded Jax.

Courtney was torn, as Jax continued to guilt-trip her. "I'm sorry Jax but that's going to be Jason, not you" she said as she turned to leave.

Jax called after her. "You know if it comes down to, I'll take this to court"

Courtney ignored him and continued her way to the elevator and immediately pressed the close button. All she wanted to do was get home to Jason.
