Chapter 5

Courtney was about to run out the front door when she bumped into someone.

"Get out of my way" she said.

"There you are. I saw you go somewhere after the fight but then I lost you. Is everything ok?" AJ asked.

"No"

"Wanna get out of here?"

"You bet"

"I’ll give you a ride home."

"No, I don’t want to go home yet. Wanna go to the docks or something?" Courtney asked.

"Sure. Lets go" AJ said as he and Courtney left.

Outside
"Then why did you say those horrible things to her?" Emily asked.

"I don’t know. I guess I’m afraid that if we give in to our feelings then we’ll ruin our friendship."

"Well you’ll never know unless you go for it. Now get you’re a** out of here and go look for her and apoligize."

"You’re right. I have to get to her before its to late." Jason said as he ran away to find the girl of his dreams.

The docks
"Thanks for taking me out of there. I couldn’t stand being there for another second." Courtney said.

"No problem. I’m glad you wanted to leave. Now we can have some time to ourselves."

"Umm…ok" Courtney said a little nervous. She didn’t know what AJ was up to.

"Wanna sit down?" AJ asked pointing to a bench.

"Ok"

"How long have you liked me?" Courtney asked.

"A long, long time." AJ said as he scooted closer to her.

"Oh, I see"

"Why did you want to know?" AJ asked as he got even closer.

"Just wondering. I just want to tell you that.."

Before Courtney could finish AJ’s lips were on her’s.

Jason stopped as he looked at the sight before him. Right there on the docks was Courtney and his brother kissing.

‘I’m too late’ Jason thought as he walked away.

"What the h*ll are you doing?" Courtney screamed as she pushed AJ away from her.

"Kissing you. Isn’t that what you wanted?"

"H*ll no! I’m in love with someone else."

"Then why did you ask me here."

"Cuz I thought we could just talk with our voices not with our tongues!"

"Just admit that you wanted that more then I did. You know you’ve wanted to do that for a long time. You also know that you want to do it again." AJ said.

"You’re right, there is something I’ve always wanted to do to you."

"Really? What’s that?"

"This!" Courtney said as she punched AJ in the face and then kneed him in the stomach.

"Ow!!!" AJ yelled as he fell down in pain.

"Goodbye AJ" Courtney said as she ran home.

Penthouse 4
Sonny, Carly and Emily waited in Penthouse 4 for Courtney to come back while Liz, Lucky and Nik cleaned up the party.

"Where do you think she went?" Em asked.

"I have no clue." Sonny answered as Courtney came through the door.

"Hey guys" Courtney said.

"Where have you been?" Carly asked.

"With AJ"

"What?!" they all said.

"Don’t worry nothing happened. He kissed me so I pushed him off and then I punched him."

"Court, could I talk to you for a minute?" Emily asked.

"Sure, why don’t we go up in my room."

"Ok"

Upstairs in Courtney’s room
"What do you want to talk about?" Courtney asked.

"Jason’s in love with you" Emily blurrted out.

"What?!"

"He told me after you left. He went to look for you."

"OMG, what if he saw AJ kissing me and got the wrong impression!"

"I’m sure he didn’t. I’m going home now so I’ll see if he’s there and talk to him. Ok?"

"Good idea. Thanks"

"No problem. Good night"

"Good night"

Monday after school at soccer and football practice. Emily talked to Jason and he lied and said he couldn’t find Courtney. He hasn’t spoken to Courtney since the party.

"Good practice guys, hit the showers. Don’t forget to rest up, we have a big game coming up on Friday!" Luke said (FYI: Luke is the football coach)

Sonny, Jason, Nik and Lucky were walking to the locker room. They looked over and saw that the girls were still practicing.

"So he said he didn’t see me at all" Courtney said.

"That’s what he claims." Emily said.

"Do you believe him?" Courtney asked but before Emily could answer Coach Cassidine (Alexis is the coach) called the team over.

"Okay girls, if we win the game on Saturday we make the playoffs so I want you guys resting all week. No fooling around. Get to bed early at night and eat healthy. I want two laps around the field and then stretch and then go home. Have a good night." Alexis said.

After the two laps and stretches Courtney was walking to the Girls’ locker room when she saw Jason coming out of the Boys’ locker room.

"Hey Jason wait up" she called out as she ran up to him. "We need to talk."
