Type: Angst/Episode Re-write (this is the kind of story where im going to update it as things happen to Jason and Courtney. I plan on re writing the episodes, not using the same dialouge but using the same plot areas I.e. the C.E.)/Mob/Rape/Romance

Summary: Jason and Courtney Morgan are married. Everything that happened before the fire happened. Im planning on basically re-writing the episodes to make them include more Journey and Journey conversations the way I would like them to have happened.

Chapter 1-

Courtney ran out of PH4. She had left Michael and Morgan with Leticia. There were so many thoughts running through her head. What if he dies? No Court stop thinking like that. Think about this, Jason always did whatever he had to, to stay alive, so he could always come back to her. This time wont be any different. Courtney thought. He can’t die. I love him too much. She had to get to the Port Charles Hotel. She had to save her husband.

Thank God Courtney isn’t in this building. Jason thought as he was carrying his best friend, Carly, through the smoke. He just had to make it to the Versailles Room. He had to, for Carly, for Sonny, and most of all for his wife, the only woman he had ever loved like this. He loved Courtney more than Robin, more than Liz. More than anyone.

“Excuse me! Excuse me… hey!” the petite blonde woman shouted as she entered the burning building. “I need to know if my husband’s been evacuated yet. His name is Jason Morgan,” Courtney said extremely fast to the officer with the clipboard.
“No ma’am I’m sorry he hasn’t.” With that, Courtney Morgan shoved past the officer and ran up the nearest flight of stairs.

Carly had regained consiousness by the time Jason had reached the Versailles Room. Very much to Jason’s disliking, Carly was standing with Lorenzo Alcazar. The man who had kidnapped Courtney. The man who’d cost them their child. He had such a hatred for this man standing in front of him. He had even stalked Carly, for months. He could not understand why Carly would choose him of all people. Jason turned to Sonny, but quickly looked past him. He saw his little sister Emily lying on the floor, bleeding. As he was running towards her, he heard Lucky calling his name.
“Jason! Jason!” Lucky was yelling from across the room. Jason glanced at Emily then ran over towards Lucky. This had better be good, Jason thought.
“What Lucky? My sister needs me right now,” Jason said sounding exasperated.
“Jason, I hate to tell you this but, I think your wife needs you more.”

“Jason?!? Jase….!? It’s me! It’s Courtney. Where are you?” Courtney yelled as she was trying to avoid falling beams and smoky areas. I know you’re here Jason. Courtney thought. Her silky, blonde, beautiful hair was now a dirty blonde, and very rough. She had smoke stains all over her face. All of a sudden, a thought passed through her mind. Sonny and Carly. Before she could think anymore the ceiling started to collapse. She was trapped. Her body was already so fragile and weak, she couldn’t get out. There was no way. Courtney was going to die.

                                                                    Chapter 2-

“What? What are you talking about Lucky? Courtney is at home with Michael and Morgan,” Jason said extremely confused and most of all extremely scared.

“An officer radioed up Jason, he said that a blonde woman came running in looking for a man named Jason Morgan. Then he said that an old woman said that she saw a blonde woman trapped underneath rubble on the fourth floor. The woman fit Courtney’s description. Jason I’m sorry,” Lucky said truly feeling for Jason. Lucky always liked Courtney.
“And nobody stopped her? Nobody stopped her from coming in this burning building?”
“There was no stopping her Jason,” Lucky said.

He flew out of the Versailles Room. Courtney, my beautiful wife, trapped, afraid, and alone. She needs me. I need her. She has to live. She has to. A man then interrupted his thoughts, a man he knew all too well.
“Morgan,” Brian Beck said. “I heard about Courtney. I followed you so I could help.”
“You won’t be going anywhere near my wife Beck. Get the hell out of here,” Jason yelled. He is wasting my time.
“Ex-wife Morgan, ex-wife,” Brian said. “I love her too Jason.”
“You know what Beck? You are wasting my time. I need to find Courtney,” Jason said as he ran off down the hallway.
“Courtney!” Jason yelled as he saw her. Please, please let her still be alive. Let her still be breathing. She has to be alive. She just has to be. “Courtney? Court it’s me. Wake up. Wake up… please,” Jason sobbed, tears welling up in his eyes. She was alive. Thank God, he had checked her pulse. How was he going to get her out of this? He knew how to do things like this. This was what Sonny had taught him to do. Why couldn’t he remember how? His own wife, his Courtney. She was in trouble. And he didn’t know if he was going to hurt her by moving all of the rubble off her. Jason think. He looked at his angel and realized that no matter what, he had to get her out. He took his wedding band out of his pocket and slipped it on to his finger. Even though they were getting a divorce because Courtney couldn’t handle the life, he kept his wedding ring with him always, it made him feel closer to her somehow.
“Don’t worry Court. Don’t worry. I’m gonna get you outta here okay? Just hold on,” Jason said as he began to carefully but quickly take the rubble off of his unconscious wife.
“What?” Carly Corinthos yelled. “My best friend is trapped?” This wasn’t happening. Carly thought. “Not Courtney. No please, not my best friend….” Carly was sobbing on Lorenzo.
“So Lucky, basically you’re telling me that my sister is trapped. Where’s Jason? Did you tell him?” Sonny asked, about to lose his temper.
“Yeah, I told Jason. He went to try and find her,” Lucky said nervously.
“Okay, I’m going down there too,” Sonny said calmly, but before Sonny made it to the stairs Carly grabbed his hand.
“Sonny, no. Please don’t go back down there,” Carly pleaded, tears glistening in her eyes.
“J- Jason?” Courtney said confused.
“Courtney? Oh thank God. Just hold on. Let me move this one last board,” Jason replied relieved.
“It hurts so much Jase,” Courtney cried.
“I know. I’m gonna pick you up okay? Tell me if I’m hurting you,” Jason said as he carefully picked up his weak wife and cradled her in his arms.
“Sonny and Carly,” she managed to say.
“Ssh. Don’t talk okay? Don’t worry. They’re fine. They’re okay.”
A look of relief washed over Courtney’s face.
“Jase, I’m sorry,” Courtney said, her voice barely above a whisper.

“Why? You didn’t do anything wrong,” Jason replied, concerned.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t keep the vows I made to you on our wedding day. Im sorry that I said that I could handle your life when I couldn’t. Im sorry that I lost your baby,”
Jason interrupted her.
“Our baby, and it wasn’t your fault.”
“Hold on let me finish, Im sorry that im going to die tonight, but im glad that im going to die in your arms Jason. I am so thankful for that. God Jason. I love you so much,” Courtney said as she cried. Courtney’s confession left Jason speechless. He managed to say,
“Courtney? Court look at me.” She looked up at him, tears in her eyes, she was drifting in and out of consiousness, “You are not going to die. You can’t.” Jason said as he looked away. “I love you too much.”
I-I love you to Jason, always,” Courtney said as she passed out.

                                                                    Chapter 3-

“Sonny please.”
“Carly my best friend and my little sister are down there, I need to help them,” Sonny said, pleasantly surprised that Carly didn’t want him to go.
“Sonny, Jason will take care of her. He loves her so much. Trust me Sonny. I’m just as scared as you, but you know Jason. Jason would die before he let anything happen to Courtney. And plus, she’s such a strong girl Sonny. She’s so brave. Courtney loves this family. Our family. She won’t leave us, not yet. She can’t,” Carly said, cryng. Sonny then took her into his strong arms. God I love this woman so much, Sonny thought to himself. Sonny glanced back at Alcazar, who quickly looked away. Good that sonofabitch deserves to feel jealous. He hurt everyone I care about. He should be dead, Sonny almost said out loud. But the sight of Jason carrying his sister stopped him.
“Courtney,” Sonny said as he releaesed Carly and ran over to Jason. “How is she?” Sonny asked Jason but before Jason could answer, Monica had come over and asked everyone to move so she could examine Courtney.
“Jason,” Sonny said softly.
“Yeah?” Jason replied, not once taking his eyes off of his wife.
“Is she okay?”
“What do you think Sonny? Does she look okay? No she doesn’t. Courtney told me before she passed out that she thought she was going to die Sonny. That’s what she said to me. S-Sonny. I love her so much. She- she can’t die,” Jason’s voice trailed off.
Tears were pouring down Jason’s cheeks. He normally wasn’t the type of person to cry, especially in front of people. The last time he cried was when Courtney told him that she had lost the baby that he hadn’t even known they had conceived. Monica then came over.
“Jason, Courtney needs a hospital. She has lost a great deal of blood,” Monica said sadly. She watched as her son walked over to his wife. Jason was stroking her hair. He always sub-consciously did that. He couldn’t help but think how beautiful she was. Even like this. But then again, he always thought she was beautiful. She had to live, she just had to. Jason grabbed Courtney’s hand. She would live. He could feel it.

“The helicopter’s here!” Alan Quartermaine yelled over the crowd. “Emily Quartermaine and Courtney Morgan will be evacuated first due to their substantial injuries,” Alan informed the crowd. Jason watched as they lifted his wife onto the stretcher.
“Be careful,” Jason choked out as Carly came over and let him cry on her shoulder.
“Shh. Jase she’ll be fine. She’ll make it. She’ll be okay. It’s alright,” Carly said crying reassuring Jason, as well as herself. Jason prayed to God she was right.

((One of GH’s many time warps, Jason and S&C have now been evacuated and are trying to get to GH)

“Sir, excuse me sir!” the paramedic yelled.

“What?” Jason replied as he stopped running to his motorcycle. His thoughts wenr back to Courtney. His motorcycle. She loved his bike. “We need to check you for smoke inhalation,” the paramedic started.
“Later, I need to get to my wife,” Jason yelled over his shoulder as he straddled his bike and sped off toward General Hospital.

“Jason,” Tony Jones said as Jason ran off the elevator.
“Where’s my wife?” Jason asked, exasperated.
“She’s in surgery. There was a great deal of blood loss,” Tony said.

“Is…Is she going to make it?” Jason asked as Sonny and Carly approached.

“We don’t know,” was Tony’s only reply before he walked away.
Jason sat down in the closest chair. He had to sit down. He felt like his knees were going to give out. This is all your fault. If it wasn’t for you she’d be okay. She wouldn’t be in so much pain. Courtney, God Courtney. You need to live. You have to. Court you can’t die. I need you here. We need you here.
Carly noticed Jason twisting his wedding band around his finger. Carly grabbed his hand. She didn’t talk or offer any words of support. She just sat there with him. And for that, Jason was grateful.

“Mr. Morgan?” the surgeon said. “Your wife is out of surgery.”
“Is she okay?” Jason asked standing up.
“She did pull through, but Mr. Morgan, your wife has slipped into a coma,” the surgeon said. He had heard about this man. Jason Morgan. Mob enforcer. And here he was standing in front of him, tears falling down his face. He felt for the man, although he was an alledged criminal.

“She’s in room 302. One at a time please though.”
Jason felt as though he had been punched in the stomach. Courtney was in a coma. This couldn’t be happening. He slowly walked down the long hall toward his wife’s room. Before he went into her room, he looked at her through the window. She was hooked up to so many monitors. His wife was fighting for her life. And all he could do was pray that she would make it.

Jason Morgan entered his estranged wife’s room. Courtney had been in a coma for 72 hours now. He had yet to go home, despite Sonny and Carly’s pleas. Even when Sonny or Carly wanted to talk to her alone, he was reluctant to leave her bedside. Jason had slept in a chair next to her bed for three nights now, his hand holding her hand, his head next to his stomach. He looked up at her. She was breathtaking. He got up and got into her hospital bed with her. He picked up her head and placed it gently on to his chest. When they were together, this was her favorite thing to do. He used to lay on the couch with her like this, and she used to tell him how her day was, or how she was feeling. He just sat there thanking God for giving her to him. He played with her hair. She always loved it when he touched her hair. Her hair, Jason thought as he picked up one of her beautiful golden locks. Then, out of nowhere, she moved.
