Chapter 9-Newlyweds

Courtney stirred awake moaning. She grabbed her head and blinked her eyes open. She noticed Carly in the corner sobbing and Jason sitting on the bed next to Courtney with tears as well. Just watching these two people before them cry and sob brought tears to her own eyes as well.

"W…what's…the matter"? she asked trying to get the words out. Jason looked over at Carly then at Courtney. He gently put his hand on hers and entwined their fingers together. "You were shot in the leg". Jason said but the other part is way worse.

"So, I could be better but I know there is something else by the looks of you two". Courtney said growing impatient with Jason. "Um, Sonny he threw is body in front of yours when the gun was fired, the first bullet went through his lung and the second hit you in the leg". By now Courtney had tears in her eyes but nodded for Jason to continue.

Jason was nervous about saying this last part but he said, "Sonny couldn't make it, he died". Jason let his tears fall with Courtney's. he embraced her in a hug and let her cry on his shoulder.

By the time the doctors came in the room was filled with sobs by the two ladies and Jason was crying. The doctors bowed their heads and said, "We are extremely sorry about Sonny". Carly screamed, "YOU SHOULD OF SAVED HIM YOU BASTARDS! YOU CALL YOURSELF DOCTORS"!

Jason jumped up and held her tightly so she would jump at them. The doctors left and they watched as they wheeled Sonny's body down the hallway. Courtney started speaking, "I didn't know sonny long. I wish I would've treated him better but now it's to late. I don't know if he knows how much I love him in just a short amount of time. I should have taken the bullet and not sonny". By now the tears were pouring out. Jason walked over and touched her face. He said, "It's not your fault Sonny knows how much you loved him. You are a sweet and caring person and no one should have to through that. I am so sorry because I let him down. I was supposed to protect him and instead I just stood their and watched him bleed to death. I never expected any of that and yet I feel like I did the best job I can. I hope he looks down at you and realizes he couldn't ask for anything more because he had what he always wanted, a family".

He stopped and realized how much he's been talking. Carly who had cried herself to sleep was now sleeping in the chair across the room. He walked over and kissed her forehead and put a blanket around her.

The doctor walked in and noticed Carly sleeping. She said, "Mr. Morgan you can leave Carly their but you need to leave so I can talk to Courtney". He nodded and left.
"Mrs. Morgan, we did some tests and your husband asked to have everything in your body examined to test. So even though it is a little early we've discovered that you are Pregnant". The doctor said and noticed the pale look on Courtney's face. "I will leave you alone for a minute do you want anyone sent in here"? Courtney shook her head no. She thought about what Jason would do if he found out he was going to be a father to a child of a woman he hated since they met.

She didn't know what do anymore and what to say. All she could see is the world fading around her and the room going blank. She wanted this child more than anything. She didn't want to have it grow up without a father but she would do what she had to do.

After a few minutes of thinking she made up her mind. It might have been a bad choice but for now it was what she had to do. Maybe in the far future she would change her mind but for now she couldn't, for Jason's sake. She decided not to tell Jason about the baby…

Chapter : 10

Chapter 10

Courtney put her hand gently on her stomach and whispered, this is where our baby is growing. She was alone is the room so decided to talk to her baby now, "You aren't going to get to meet your daddy because he wont know about you. I am sorry but this is how it's got to be. When you are born, I promise you and I silently promise Jason to tell you everything about him. He is a wonderful man, and disserves at least for you to learn about him. I don't know about talking about him when you get older because you will probably want to meet him. I would to if I were you. I promise to treat you good with everything I got. I love you and you will always come first.

Tears were now pouring out. Jason walked in the room and stopped to look at her. She smiled through the tears as she wiped them gently away, "Hey". She said trying to sound convincing. He smiled a little and said, "Hi". He walked over to the bed and sat down.

She noticed he wanted to talk so she said, "You can tell me anything, Jase". He looked at her and began to speak, "I just wanted to thank you for everything you done for me, and I know this is hard because it's hard for me too. Tears were in his yes. I know you are scared and hurt for Sonny's death but I promise you who ever shot him will pay. Sonny disserved a long life. I just wanted to tell you that even though Sonny never told you this but he talked about you a lot. He cared for you too. And these last couple of weeks you have been the best sister for him because he loves you. I don't know if he ever told you but he would give up his life for you and now I realized I would too".

Courtney was crying. She felt so eased now that Jason was their comforting her. "Jase? Will you stay here with me until I fall asleep"? She asked sweetly. He smiled and said, "Of course". She moved over for him and he laid under the blankets with her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

She felt protected and she didn't just do it for her but she did it for Jason and the baby. Even though he didn't know it but he was holding his unborn child as well. It made her smiled to think about her baby.

She had hoped the child will come out with Jason's eyes or hair color. It would make her happy to know that he has a good dose of his jeans in his child. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep in Jason's arms. Soon after she fell asleep Jason did as well. They both had a long and rough day just wanting to end. Jason never felt so good in a while and neither had Courtney.

The next day they woke up with the sun shining on their face. Courtney awoke smiling. Jason whispered softly, "Hey". He unwrapped his arms as she said, "Hey". He stood and asked, "How did you sleep last night"? She smiled and rubbed her eyes as she said, "Good because you were there. Thank you so much". He smiled and said, "No problem".

Jason left the room and came in a few minutes later. "Courtney, you get released today and Benny had the annulment papers turned in two days ago so bye tonight we will be legally divorced". She smiled and said, "God it feels good to be finally divorced".

Then she thought about when he said she gets released. That means she had to do what she's been planning. She had to tell him now or never. "Jason? I um when I get released I am leaving town".

chapter 11:

Chapter 11-


Jason felt his heart drop. He was majorly confused of why she would just get up and leave especially now. "Why"? He asked hoping not to sound desperate. She swallowed the urge to tell him about her baby, their baby.

"I just, lets just say I have unfinished business and wont be back, ever". He didn't notice he eyes start to hurt over him not blinking afraid of a tear falling to show he is heartbroken. Over these past few weeks of her being his wife he learned to get used to her. He is way off from hating her. He doesn't hate her anymore; he wants to be with her. How someone could feel the opposite of the person in just a short amount of time.

They just sat their thinking. Thinking of each other and their could and bad times. They thought about the 'Hate Sex' and that brought a smile to both their faces. They knew the first time was hate sex but the second time was different. It was as if feelings were their and maybe their were. All they had what was what they had now, today. And that was a child that would link them together forever. The difference was Jason didn't know about it. Only Courtney knew of their personal attachment through a child.

Courtney desperately wanted to tell Jason. She knew in her heart he would be the best father possible. She just wasn't sure that he wanted her or the baby. She didn't want him to be forced to be with her because of another life involved and she didn't want him to be with her because he felt that is what Sonny would want.

Part of this whole situation had to do with Sonny. Sonny would want her to follow her hear but what if her heart was telling her two different things. Two opposite things that she can't make up her mind.

She began to speak, "Jason? Um I have something to tell you". Jason looked at her worried. "What is it"? He asked hoping it wasn't upsetting things. She got ready and said "Um well I don't know how to say it but…I am going to miss you Jason". He smiled and said, "I will miss you too. Can I take you to the airport"? She smiled softly and nodded.

(This is the day of the leaving):

The next day Courtney rushed around PH2 packing and throwing things into suitcases.
She may have looked busy but her heart was somewhere else. She was thinking about her child and what it would look like. If it were a boy or girl. And the worst part was she had Jason think that might actually see each other again but she knew she could never let that happen.

She knew Jason would notice her carrying a baby around. But she might of came up with a plan to show her child Jason with out Jason seeing his child. She wanted them to know each other because that is the only way they'd be complete. She hoped Jason would meet someone and have a child with so she didn't have to fell so damn guilty.

She was interrupted by Jason saying, "Courtney are you ready"? She nodded and said, "I have to do something first". With out saying anything else she walked alone over to Sonny's empty PH. She opened the door and took in her surroundings.

She couldn't help but smile at the way Sonny wanted everything always clean. She brushed her hand over the soft couch cushion. She sat down and began to speak, "Sonny? I um I have to tell someone. I trust you a lot so I trust you enough to know that I am pregnant. Jason is the father and I know how upset you'd be if you were alive but I also know you don't want any child to grow up fatherless. Neither do I and that's why this is so hard for me to do. I am doing this for Jason because I don't know what he wants. I am going back to Atlantic City to start my life over again. If things don't work out their I will go somewhere else. I have to see my mom before I say goodbye to her too. I am going to tell my child all about you and his father, Jason. Neither of you will know my child but that's why I am so mad at myself to do this".

Jason walked in the door and softly said, "If you are deciding to leave we have to get going because your plane is going to take off". She smiled and said, "Let's go". She stood and walked out past Jason. Jason looked at Sonny's place one last time before closing the door and following Courtney out.

chapter 12:

Chapter 12


Airport:

They walked in the airport and Jason's heart was pounding hoping she'd change her mind about leaving. They took a seat waiting. They sat their quiet until Courtney began to speak, "So…what do you plan on doing now that sonny's gone"? she asked with a tear in her eye. He looked into her eyes and said, "Honestly, I don't know. Sonny gave me my life and my family so I don't really know what I am going to do". He looked away.

She said, "Your strong Jase and you don't need anyone choosing your life for you". He looked at her and realized he needed her to stay more than anything but didn't want to force her.

What surprised him the most was that this was the woman he once hated more than anything. But now he couldn't get enough of her. It was as if he were becoming addicted to her and what is around her. He desperately wanted her and was hoping a miracle would come and delay the flight.

Courtney looked at Jason and saw the most honest man she ever met. She wondered what happened that made her think of him this way. She saw a man who she could trust and she knew he would never let her down. She had been hurt before badly but even though he hated her he was always their, no questions asked. That was why it was so easy for her to marry Jason to help him because he disserved it.

Now they were divorced. Two weeks ago that was all they could ask for but now it was the last thing they wanted but they go the divorce. Neither of them knew how the other felt. They didn't know that they shared the same feelings for each other. Now, all they wanted was each other. Courtney wanted to tell Jason about her baby and Jason just wanted Courtney.

They both heard the announcement to board flight 14 and yet neither moved. Both minds raising of all thoughts that were goodbye and possibly forever. Jason's eyes began to water at the thought of never seeing Courtney again. As the tears fell out of Courtney's eyes both of them had flashbacks of times together:

Flashbacks:

"NO, it wasn't your fault anyone who is stupid would blame a wonderful person like you for someone's death".

"He dumped me, Jase for Liz"

"He was an idiot to give up you"

"Why? Because I'm not as beautiful as Liz"

"No, you are extremely more beautiful than Liz and any guy who gives up you is stupid or drunk"

"I guess this is what they called a married life except we don't love each other"

"Maybe we could"

"I will miss you Jason"

"I'll miss you too"

End flashbacks:

They were brought out of their thoughts at the lady, "If you are going to get on this flight you have to board now". The lady said walking away. Courtney looked at Jason and said, "This is it".

She stood up as well as him. She took a deep breath and faced him. They were just inches apart and he said, "Good luck". She smiled and said, "Yeah you too". He had to tell her because it was now or never. He said, "Courtney um I know that this is sudden but when we got married I never thought I could stay in a room with you for more than five minutes but now I cant get enough of you. Courtney, I love you". Tears were streaming down her face and she smiled through her tears and said, "Jason, I love you too, even though I couldn't stand you before". She reached up and touched his cheek.

He leaned down and kissed her passionately. They just stood their kissing and caressing each other. They pulled away out of breath. She picked up her bag and said, "Goodbye Jason" he smiled and said, "Goodbye". Letting the tear fall. She walked to the door and without looking back she stepped onto the plane.

At that moment he decided he was going to fight for Courtney. She was the love of his life and he would try to get her back even if he died trying…

Mandy- feedback appreciated: I know it wasn't the best Jason and Courtney story and I know they were in love but they weren't officially together but I am probably going to right a sequel to the story. What do you think????
