Chapter 2

The Loft

"I care more that you understand. Because I'm not -- I’m not doing this for Carly or anyone else except for you. I love you, and, uh, you changed everything for me. You filled my life when I didn't know it was empty. And I want to give that back to you for every day, as long as we live. Will you -- will you marry me"  ?, He said with hope in his eyes.

 "love you. And I want us to spend the rest of our lives together -- I mean, if it's not too soon for you" .

"No the only thing that will change is that I will love you even more", she said crying.

" Then will you be my wife" , he repeated.

" Yes " , she exclaimed while effortlessly falling into his arms and passsionately kissing him.

Courtney awoke in sweat and was breathing heavily . She had another dream about him . But this time was different . It was more of a memory , of when he proposed . I have to stop this . She had to stop fooling herself into believing that thing could change and she could once again be with the man she love . But it would never happen . He hated her now .

Courtney slowly eased herself out of bed and walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water.But on her way there something caught her eye.

The door was open.

" Thats odd " , she said aloud , " I know I shut the door " , she finished as she shut and locked the door . Which she would later realize was one of her huge mistakes.

Jason heard a loud knock at the door , but was to tired to get up and answer it . He looked over at the clock , 2:00 AM .He had just had another dream about her , of when he proposed . He never thought she would say yes . But she did .

He was brought out of his half awake half asleep state by a voice yelling downstairs outside the door . A voice he would recognize anywhere.

" Jason Morgan , open this door right now " , Carly yelled.

When he didn't answer she continued.

" Please Jase , I just need to talk to you " , she continued in a softer tone.

When the door opened Carly held her breath at the sight before her .

" What Carly " , Jason asked in a groggy voice.

" Oh my god , Jason you look terrible " , Carly exclaimed at the sight of her other best friend.

" Carly just tell me why you're here " , Jason asked.

" I told you , I need to talk to you " , she said inviting herself in .

" What could you possibly have to talk to me about at 2:00AM " , Jason said angrily.

" COURTNEY " , she snapped back .

Authors Note : Im sorry its taking so long to get to the good Journey stuff , but im already getting working on it so keep reading . hint  And dont miss chapter 4 .
