~Chapter 19~

*Ph 3*

“What are you doing here?” she asked in surprise, staring at the face of the one person she didn’t expect to see tonight.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jason looked at her nervously, clutching onto the black velvet box once again.

“Jason, you knew I had a dinner with Lucky tonight, what are you doing here?” she asked again, looking at him furiously.

“I… I just have a feeling that Courtney’s going to find out… About the Ring.” He said softly, glancing towards his penthouse as Leah groaned in frustration.

“She won’t if you keep your mouth shut! Ok here’s some advice for you.” She said, motioning for him to come closer to her. He leaned in as she instructed and was caught off guard as she hit him over the head. “First, don’t ever interrupt my Dinner again. Second, as long as you don’t tell Carly then you don’t have to worry about Courtney finding out, and third…” she said, pausing for a minute as he looked at her suspiciously, rubbing the back of his head.

“… Relax, Courtney is going to be able to tell something’s up if you act like an idiot… Like what you’re doing now.” She said honestly, throwing her hands up in frustration as he started fidgeting with the hinges on the box.

“Well I can’t help it! I just want everything to be perfect for her, it’s all I’ve ever wanted.” He said, his voice barely above a whisper as Leah gave him a small smile.

“Ok Jase, Don’t worry so much. Just go back to your penthouse, enjoy some time with your sweetie, and keep your mouth shut!” she said sternly, giving him a look as she started pushing him out of her penthouse.

“But I-…” he was saying right as she slammed the door.

“God that man needs help.” She said aloud to herself, sighing as another knock came at her door.

“Jason, I swear to god I will stuff that ring down your freaking thro-..” she was saying as she opened the door once more, only to find Lucky in Jason’s place.

“Hey.” He said cautiously, holding a bouquet of Lilies as Leah giggled. “Is everything ok?” he asked, glancing at her worriedly as she grinned and nodded, ushering him into her penthouse.

“Of Course, I was just uh… I thought you were Jason again.” She said, rolling her eyes as he smiled at her.

“Ok, that’s all I needed to know. You look beautiful.” He said, handing her the flowers and kissing her cheek as she blushed slightly. He had already known about Jason and Leah’s relationship, especially how they both infuriated each other, as Best friends usually did.

“Thanks, you look nice.” She said, looking him over and feeling her face getting even redder. He had on a nice Dinner Jacket and slacks with a white shirt underneath. “God I hope I don’t spill any wine on him.” She thought to herself, remembering the things that went on during Jason and Courtney’s first date.

She turned and headed into the Kitchen to put her flowers in some water, motioning for him to sit down at the table.

“Oh my god that dress!.. How long has it been.. 4 years? 5?” Lucky thought, rubbing his hands over his face as he watched her walk away. “I’m going to need a cold shower after this…” he said quietly, sitting down as she walked back into the room, grinning at him and carrying two glasses and a bottle of Chardonnay, setting them down on the table as she seated herself across from him.

“So.. are you hungry?” she asked seductively, leaning across the table as Lucky bit his lip so hard it turned white.

“Ooh yeah… I.. I mean Yes, yes I am.” He said, grimacing at himself as Leah chuckled lightly.

“Ok well I have some appetizers for you first and then I made my specialty.. Grilled Salmon with Pineapple Mari-…” she was saying as he cut in.

“… Marinade and Mango Salsa?” he finished as she smiled excitedly at him.

“You remembered?” she asked surprisingly.

“Of Course, that was the first thing you learned how to make… I think I ate that about 16 times in one week..” he said, glancing away and pretending to think about it as Leah giggled at him, knowing that this was going to be a night they would never forget.

*PH 2*
Jason stood in the kitchen, glancing at Courtney’s ring once again when he heard footsteps coming down the stairs, causing him to fumble as he tried to put the box into his pocket. He quickly positioned himself against the counter as Courtney walked into the room, her appearance causing Jason to practically fall on his face. She wore almost nothing except for one of his large black T-shirts. Her legs and feet were bare, her Hair was up in a messy ponytail and all of the makeup was removed from her face. She looked absolutely gorgeous and it made Jason want to take her right there on the kitchen floor.

“Hi Baby..” she said to him, walking over to the fridge and opening the door, bending down to get a good look inside as Jason did the same, only to get a good look up her shirt.

Watching him from the reflection of the wine bottle she was looking at, Courtney could tell that he was getting his own view of things. She turned her head slowly, making sure that he didn’t notice and opened her mouth to bring him out of his trance.

“Hey Jase, Whatcha doin?” she asked curiously, holding back her laughter as he jumped from shock.

“N… Nothing….” He replied, looking at her innocently as she shook her head and straightened up, shutting the door and walking for to him as he watched her closely.

“Oh really...” she said, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him passionately.

He moaned in response to her question and pulled her firmly up against his body. Courtney reached her hands underneath his shirt as he started to pull hers off when he stopped and took a step back, receiving a look of confusion on Court’s part.

“Jason… What are yo-…” she started saying as he interrupted her.

“I need to go see Sonny about something, it can’t wait… I’ll be back and we.. Can finish what we started.” He said, kissing her firmly once more and walked out of the penthouse as she stood and watched him leave. She groaned frustratingly, walking over to the couch and sitting down as she turned on the Television.

“… We now have received word that the Quartermaine’s have giving up the search for their eldest Son, Alan Quartermaine Jr., who was reported missing approximately 1 month ago.” The news anchor said as Courtney gaped at the TV, turning the volume up as she continued to talk.

“The district attorney of the Port Charles police department held a news conference earlier today to talk about the Search. We will now show you some video coverage...” She stated as the screen now showed a large room of people, holding out tape recorders and shouting out questions to Scott Baldwin, whose facial _expression was torn between fake sympathy and his usual mischievous grin.

“Any Questions?” he asked dramatically, sitting down in his seat as the crowd responded with a roar of confusion. “Yes?” he asked, pointing to a dark haired woman who was chewing on her pen and twitching from excitement.

“Ah…Yes alright, How is this case being closed, if it is at all?” she asked as her pen exploded onto her blouse.

“This case is being kept open for the time being but we are also investigating foul play being involved in Mr. Quartermaine’s disappearance.” He said, causing all of the reporters to write furiously. “Alright then..” he said, waving his hand at a young man who looked no older than 20.

“If you are investigating foul play, do you believe that Mr. Quartermaine was murdered or involved in a homicide?” he asked as a Buzz could be heard about the room as the rest of the adults talked amongst themselves with wonder.
“We are looking at every aspect for any clue of what could have happened to Mr. Quartermaine, but we are not just writing off the fact that a murder or homicide is also possible.” He confirmed, looking smug with the effect he was having on the crowd and disgusting Courtney to the point that she had to shut off the TV before she became ill.

“Jackass..” she thought to herself as she laid herself down on the couch and waited for Jason to return from Sonny’s.

*PH 4*
Jason walked into the penthouse and shut the door quickly, wanting to get this meeting over with as soon as possible so he could go back to Courtney… “Oooh Courtney…” he moaned, closing his eyes and picturing her in her t-shirt as a loud *THUD* could be heard from upstairs.

“What the f-…” he said to himself, walking over to the staircase. “Sonny!” he called as a bedroom door swinging open could be heard and a Breathless and Aggravated Sonny ran down to him.

“WHAT?!” he cried, his eyes burning in fury as Jason realized that he had caught him at a bad time.

“I.. uh Wanted to talk to you abo… About Courtney.” He finally choked out as Sonny’s _expression quickly softened with Worry.

“What happened? Is she ok? I knew I shouldn’t have listened to Lea-…” he was saying while shaking his head as Jason raised his hand and interrupted him.

“She’s fine.. I just needed to talk to you about her.” He said simply, motioning for Sonny to sit on the couch as he took a seat himself, causing Sonny to watch him wearily.

“What, do you plan on dumping her?!” he asked, the fury returning to his eyes as Jason sighed tiredly, growing impatient at Sonny’s paranoia.

“No Sonny, I wanted to talk to you because I’m going to Propose.” He said, running his hand through his spiky hair and looking at Sonny who raised an eyebrow.

“For what?” he asked sarcastically, looking at him like he was crazy as Jason gaped at him.

“Because I love her Sonny! God.. ‘For what?’… What the hell is that?” he scoffed, giving him a look as Sonny shrugged his shoulders.

“Hey man… It was just a question.” He said, raising his hands up in mock surrender as Jason rolled his eyes.

“Yeah, whatever… anyways, I just wanted to tell you and ask for your blessing.” He stated, looking down at his hands as Sonny leaned into the couch and sighed.

“Well Jase, I have known you a lot longer than I have known my sister… and I don’t want to risk my ass getting kicked by Leah if I said no.. So You have my blessing…” he said, as Jason broke out into a grin, ready to launch himself into Sonny’s arms as he held his hand up, giving him the impression that he had more to say.

“But.. Uh.. Are you sure you like her?” he asked sadly, as Jason looked at him with a scared _expression on his face.

“Is the big bad Sonny Corinthos afraid of losing his best friend to his little sister?” Jason asked himself, feeling incredibly uncomfortable.

“Sonny… I’m positive.” He said with a chuckle as Sonny grinned at him and pulled him into a brotherly embrace.

“But do me a favor..” he said, pulling away as Sonny nodded quickly.

“Yeah sure, what is it?” he asked curiously.

“Don’t tell Carly, I want-…” he was saying as someone interrupted from the stairs.

“Don’t tell Carly what?” the voice said as both Jason and Sonny turned to see Carly standing in a red silk robe, arms folded across her chest and watching them intently as they both stared at her.

“Nothing.” They said in unison as she rolled her eyes at them. “Whatever… Sonny, I’ll … uh.. Be upstairs.” She said, leaning over the banister to show her cleavage, causing Sonny to drool and Jason to cover his eyes with his hands.

“Oooh shit… ok Carly, I’ll be up soon.” He called, shoving his fist into his mouth and looking at the stairs longingly as Jason chuckled at him.

“Sonny, just go man.” He said, waving his hands at him as he looked at him hopefully.

“Ar… Are you sure?” he asked, pleading silently that he would say yes.

“Ok No Sonny just sit here and bite your hand off!” he said sarcastically and motioning to Sonny’s hand that now hand bite marks all over it.

“See ya!” he cried, jumping over the couch and slipping on the rug, causing him to fall flat on his face and Jason to start laughing hysterically. When he finally contained himself, he rushed up the stairs, leaving Jason to shake his head in wonder. “Just imagine what this family will be like in 10 years.” He said, shuddering at his own thought while getting up from the couch and walking over to his penthouse, satisfied over how his meeting with Sonny went.

*PH3* 9:45pm*
Leah and Lucky both finished their dinner and were now sitting on the couch, her in his arms as they recollected on the happy times that they had together.

“… Do you remember that one year when Anna Landon kept following me everywhere and stuck those love notes in my locker?” Lucky asked, stroking her hair lovingly as she closed her eyes and smiled.

“Oh yeah… and then I got pissed off because she said... Quote ‘you’ll never have him because I’m more of a woman then you’ll ever be.’ Unquote.” She said, turning herself over so that her head rested on his chest.

“Yeah, but she had no idea that you already had me.” He said, noticing a twinkle in her eye as she giggled softly.

“Yeah, that’s around the time I got pregnant. I think that explains my pent up frustration.” She said as he raised an eyebrow.

“What pent up frustration? You totally kicked her ass that day!” he said, causing her to burst out laughing.

“Well, I guess the baby wanted me to beat her down just as much as I did.” She exclaimed, her _expression softening at the thought of their baby.

“Do you remember the day that I got my first doctors appointment? And they showed us the sonogram and I got so upset because I couldn’t see the baby?” she asked, a small smile coming to her lips as Lucky nodded his head, also smiling at the memory.

“Yeah, they had to give you a sedative because you threatened the doctor.” He said, kissing her forehead.

“Well I thought he was lying to me…” she said, giving him her puppy eyes as he grinned at her.

“I love you” he said softly. “More than anything.”

“I love you too.” She said, kissing him gently and relaxing her body against his, closing her eyes as they fell asleep together in each others arms.

*PH 2*

Jason walked back into his penthouse after meeting with Sonny, feeling a new refined feeling of Hope inside of him for his upcoming proposal. He noticed Courtney lying on the couch, her hands playing with the edge of her shirt as her eyes gazed around the room. She finally took notice of his presence and jumped off the couch quickly, rushing into his arms as he swept her up.

“Hey! Did you talk to Sonny?” she asked, silently hoping that he didn’t have to go anywhere else that night.

“Yeah, Everything’s settled for tonight.” He said, winking at her cunningly as she smiled, knowing what he had on his mind.

“Well what did you talk about?” she asked, feeling in the questioning mood and wanting to see how long Jason could handle the distraction.

“Just business…” he said simply, pulling back the material of her shirt and planting kisses along her shoulder.

“What kind of business?” she asked as he groaned, giving her a look that clearly said ‘are you trying to kill me?’

“Alright Fine Mr. Morgan, what do you want to do if you won’t tell me about your meeting?” she asked, finally giving up her game as he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, causing Courtney to giggle at the forwardness that she had learned to expect from him.

“I can think of a few things…” he said, picking her up as he always did and headed towards the stairs.

“Like what?” she asked, knowing she was getting on his nerves but thought that it made it all the more fun.

“You ask too many questions you know that?” he stated, raising his eyebrow at her and stopping at the bottom stair as she gave him her guilty look.

“Well do you know how much time you are wasting by standing here? Get moving Mister!” she cried, waving her hands in the direction of the stairs. Jason grinned at her hastiness and made his way, with her in his arms, to their bedroom.

*The Next day*

*PH 3*

Leah woke up early that morning, scooting herself quietly out of Lucky’s arms so she wouldn’t wake him, took a quick shower and Called up her sister to see how the packing was going.

“Hello?” Courtney said, finally reaching the phone after tripping over her Suitcase.

“Hey Court, how’s the packing going?” Leah asked, drying her wet hair from the shower that she had taken earlier.

“Oh my god, this has been a complete Nightmare! Carly woke me up at 4 this morning with a freaking fog horn and threw the suitcase at Jason! I had to threaten to take his gun away because he wanted to shoot Carly for waking him up….” She said as Leah burst out laughing, covering her mouth with her towel to stifle the noise since Lucky was still asleep downstairs.

“Sounds like Carly went into her “Military” act, huh?” she asked, with an amused look on her face as she pictured Carly with her Fog horn.

“Uh Yeah! She made me drink Carrot juice this morning for no good reason, and also tried to feed me prunes but Jason told her that if she didn’t stop he would tell Sonny to take away her charge card… and then she almost cried.” She stated, rubbing her hands over her face as Leah snorted with laughter.

“See, I told you that you shouldn’t have asked Carly to pack with you, you got her all wound up and now I have to deal with her while you go and enjoy yourself with your hott boyfriend… spoiled bitch.” She said playfully as Courtney gasped at her in shock.

“Watch yourself or I’ll have my Hott boyfriend come and kick you ass.” She said, giggling at her self and sitting on her bed, watching Carly throw things out of her closet.

Leah was now laughing hysterically as she listened to her sister, so content with life and enjoying the fact that she actually had a sister to mess around with.

“Oh like he could.” She said sarcastically as Courtney shook her head, but also silently agreeing with her. “So when are you guys leaving?” she asked, throwing her towel into the hamper and walking downstairs to Check on Lucky.

“Our plane leaves at 7 so we are going to be at Sonny’s to say goodbye around 6.” She said, trying to hide the sadness in her voice as she thought about leaving her sister and brother behind for two weeks.

“God you are so lucky! Oh and don’t forget what I told you…” Leah said, placing her hands on her hips as she entered her kitchen and waited for Courtney’s answer.

“I know, I know… Bring back at least 3 Beaded necklaces or you will drag me all the way back there and make me get 10…” She said, rolling her eyes as Leah smiled to herself.

“Damn right… Make me proud sis!” she said, biting her lip to keep from giggling as she started a pot of coffee.

“Ok I won’t let you down.” She said, trying to act as serious as possible, while Carly walked out of her closet carrying a pile of clothes.

“Ok, I’ll see you later.” She said, walking over to the couch and sitting down on her coffee table as she reached out and brushed Lucky’s hair away from his forehead.

“Ok, Bye sweetie.” Courtney said, hanging up the phone and avoiding Carly’s gaze as she started talking to herself about Color Coordination.

“Bye.” She said, placing the phone next to her as Lucky started waking up.

“Morning” He said sleepily, smiling at her as a grin appeared on her face.

“Baby, it’s 1 o’clock in the afternoon.” She said, preparing herself for what Lucky would do next as his eyes grew large.

“Oh shit!” he said, jumping off the couch and looking around for his shoes. Finally finding them underneath a chair, he grabbed his jacket from the counter and walked over to her.

“I love you.” He said, placing his hands on the sides of her face and placing his lips on hers in a soft but sensual kiss, pulling away and leaning his forehead against hers as they tried to catch their breaths.

“I love you too.” She said as he kissed her cheek and practically ran out of the penthouse, knowing that he was going to be in deep shit with his boss for being late.

*PH 2*

Jason was standing in the kitchen, since being banned from the bedroom, and was looking around the corner to make sure that the coast was clear so that he could go into the living room when all of a sudden a hair brush flew through the air in his direction. His reflexes immediately kicked in and he dived underneath the kitchen table to avoid being hit. As soon as everything seemed calm he looked up and saw Leah in the doorway to the penthouse with her mouth hanging open in shock, looking from the Bedroom over to him, and back, in search of an answer to what was going on.

“Jase, are you ok?” she asked quietly, creeping over to him and reaching her hand out to help him up from his hiding place.

Accepting her hand he got up quickly, still shaken up from the ‘attack’ and looked at her with frightened eyes. She just stared at him, wanting to know what was going on and whether or not he was ok but all he could do was shake his head and cover his mouth with his hand while making a high pitched squeaky noise, giving off the impression that he was going to be seriously damaged if Carly continued ‘helping’ Courtney pack.

Leah got the point and gave him a sympathetic smile, knowing that she would have to do something to rid him and Courtney of the torture that was having Carly pack with no sugar in her system.

She gave him a quick pat on the back and crept over to the wall, inching her way over to the bedroom as quietly as possible, in case Carly suddenly felt threatened by the ‘intruder’ who was otherwise known as her sister in-law. When she reached the doorway she looked inside, only to see Courtney standing in front of her suitcase, arms outstretched and waiting for the moment when Carly would throw something at her from the Closet she was enveloped in.

Courtney looked around the room, searching for some sort of life line, when she noticed her little sister in the doorway. Her face broke out in a relieved and joyous grin, which disappeared just as fast as Carly emerged from the closet, carrying two pairs of sandals and a large sunhat.

“oh Hey Leah, did you come to lend your services?” she asked, walking around like some sort of military sergeant as Courtney watched her wearily, her look resembling the way Jason looked when he was around Michaels puppy.

“Um.. Actually Carly I came to take you to Kelly’s.” she stated uncertainly, looking at Courtney who now had a hopeful look on her face.

“Sorry, Can’t do. I have to finish packing for Court.” She said, grabbing some pictures from the bedside table and throwing them on top of some t-shirts.

“No you don’t. You’re coming with me.” Leah said, walking over to her as Courtney slyly removed the photos from her bag while Carly spun around to face Leah.

“No I’m not.” She said firmly, giving Leah the death stare which she returned just as menacingly while Courtney watched nervously from the sidelines.

“I’ll buy you a milkshake.” She said, knowing that Carly couldn’t refuse since she wasn’t allowed to eat anything besides health food around Sonny.

“Fine.” Carly said sarcastically, acting like a 13 year old who was just told to do her homework. She grabbed her purse from the bed and walked out of the room, past Jason who flew over the couch to avoid her.

“Did I tell you how much I love you?” Courtney whispered to Leah, while walking over to Jason.

“Yeah me too??” he piped in, grinning happily as he watched Carly stomp out of the room.

“No Problem, but again… You owe me!” she said, waving at them as Courtney covered her face with her hands.

“Damn it… Now I’m going to have to give her an I.O.U.” she said sadly as Jason rested his head against hers, glad for the peace and quite that they were now left with.

*Harbor View Towers* Hallway*

Carly and Leah were waiting in the Hallway for the Elevator after leaving Courtney and Jason’s penthouse when Michael emerged from Carly and Sonny’s with Rocky in tow.

Leah shrieked excitedly at the sight of her nephew’s puppy, while Carly scowled at him, still not able to get passed what happened during their first meeting. Just when Leah reached Rocky the Elevator doors opened and Carly rushed inside, sticking her head out and waiting for Leah to hurry up.

“Leah, let’s go!” she cried, motioning for her to get in as she looked at her sadly.

“But Carly I ju-…” she was saying when Carly interrupted her impatiently.

“Now!” She screamed, causing Leah to Jump and Rocky to stick his tail between his legs and run behind Michael.

“Bye Mikey…” Leah whispered, ruffling his hair as he smiled at her and gave her a sympathetic look, knowing that his mom was in one of her moods.

“Bye Aunt Leah.” He said while trying to untangle Ricky’s leash from around his legs.

*Kelly’s*

Liz walked around the Diner, taking Customers orders and Money with a big smile on her face, satisfied with the way her return had on the small restaurant and its occupants.

*Flash Back*

Penny came around the corner coming from the kitchen when Liz walked in. A smug look on her face and her usual too tight mini skirt, she looked like nothing had changed.

“Liz, what a surprise.” Penny said, fake excitement in her tone of voice as Liz plastered a smile on her face.

“Hello Penny, pleasure as always.” She said, adjusting her black tube top and flipping her short brown hair over her shoulder as Penny rolled her eyes.

“Uh huh, can I help you with something?” she asked impatiently, her hopes for finally having peace during work being shattered by the second.

“I want my job back.” Liz said simply, looking at her as if she couldn’t be refused.

“Well I’m sorry Liz but when you quit we had to replace you.” Penny said, wincing at the lie she just told and hoping that Liz wouldn’t be able to put two and two together.

“You replaced me with Courtney?” she said incredulously, a look of shock appearing on her face as Penny just stared at her.

“God, she is so dense.” She thought to herself, rubbing her hand over her face before speaking. “Courtney was working here BEFORE you left… remember?” she stated, looking at her expectantly as Liz stood before her, completely lost for words.

“Oh… alright then.” She said, waving her hands aimlessly and dismissing the answer that she was given. “So when can I start?” she asked, causing Penny to gape at her.

Sighing heavily, she decided that since Courtney had quit, she really needed some help around the diner… even if it was Elizabeth. “Now… come on.” She said, motioning for her to follow her as they walked into the back room.

*End Flash Back*

Liz headed into the kitchen to place in some orders when Leah and a more cheerful Carly walked in, chatting about how much bonding time they would get while Courtney and Jason were away.

“…I know! I mean, I love Courtney more than anything but her and Jason tend to distract me…” Leah said. Frowning at her own comment and causing Carly to giggle.

“Yeah, I’ve notice-… Oh shit!” she was saying when she noticed Liz walking out from the kitchen and over to the table across from them.

“Carly, what is it?” Leah asked, panic visible in her voice as Carly continued to stare at the brunette.

“Liz.” She said simply, pointing over to her as Leah raised an eyebrow.

“Liz, Liz? Jason’s ex Girlfriend Liz? The bitch who tortured him until he almost went insane, Liz? The o-…” she was saying when Carly interrupted her.

“Yes, that Liz.” She said, rolling her eyes in amusement at her sister in-law. Who, along with Courtney, was informed by Jason exactly who Liz and Robin were and what part they played in his past.

“I thought she left!” She whispered loudly, following Carly’s gaze and looking the waitress over with disgust.

“So did I…” Carly said, suspicion over taking her when Elizabeth approached their table and the need to be sick was slowly becoming an issue.

“Well Carly, It’s always nice to see you.” Liz said, a smirk appearing on her face as she looked at Carly who watched her lazily with a bored _expression on her face.

“Wish I could say the same.” She said, shrugging her shoulders and turning towards her menu as Leah cleared her throat.

“So How’s Jason?” Liz asked curiously, the mention of her Love causing her to break out into a grin, which didn’t go unnoticed by Leah.

“Great… Now that he’s away from you.” Carly said truthfully as Liz shook her head, not about to believe anything so negative coming out of Carly’s mouth.

“Whatever Carly, I know that he loves me and it’s just a matter of time before he comes back t-…” She was saying when Leah became tired of being quite and wanted to interrupt her before she got ahead of herself.

“Look bitch, Jason is in love… and it ain’t with you. So I would advise you to take your trashy ass and look else where because he’s off limits.” She said firmly, giving Liz a dirty look as she opened her mouth in shock before stomping off towards the kitchen.

Carly nodded proudly at her sister in-law, replaying the look on Liz’s face after being told off by Leah, who was shaking her head in disbelief.

“She’s just not smart.” She said to herself, causing Carly to burst out laughing as Penny approached their table, looking at them solemnly.

“Sorry about that Ladies, that’s the third time today.” She said as Leah gaped at her and Carly dropped her head into her hands.

“Good lord…” Carly mumbled as Leah took a deep breath and picked up her menu.

“Anyways, Can I get two milkshakes and a large plate of fries?” she asked, looking towards the counter and noticing Liz picking at her nails. “… Make that Extra Large.” She stated, as Penny smiled and walked away.

“Hey, did you know that Baldwin had a conference about AJ?” Carly asked suddenly, remembering the conversation that she had had earlier with Courtney and how worried she had been before gaining reassurance from Jason.

“For what?!” Leah cried softly, fear replacing the smile that had been on her face only a minute earlier as she thought of the nightmare that had just happened a month ago.

“Well, the Quartermaine’s finally noticed that one of their zombie children was missing so they notified the police, but like we all suspected, they found nothing.” She said, noticing that Leah had tears in her eyes and scooted closer to her,  reaching over and rubbing her back soothingly as she took another deep breath.

“Are you sure?” she whispered, biting her lip to keep the tears from escaping.

“Positive, Jason took care of it remember? He wouldn’t let anything bad happen to you.” She said, a small smile appearing on her face as Leah remembered his words.

“ok… so did they just give up on him or something?” she asked, a sick feeling appearing in the pit of her stomach as she realized that any normal loving family wouldn’t give up on a missing family member, only because she did not know the Quartermaine’s.

“Yeah basically. The search cost too much money and AJ wasn’t worth it anyway so it’s all over.” Carly said, her words finally registering in Leah’s mind as she started to relax again.

“Ok, your right. It’s over.” Leah said, mostly to herself in a finally attempt to let go all of the pain that AJ had inflicted into her life and the life of her family. She pulled the stray hair away from her face as Penny approached them once again, order in hand as Carly started bouncing excitedly at the sight of her milkshake, causing Leah to chuckle lightly at her.

*PH 4* 6 o’clock*

Courtney and Jason had finished packing, after having the relaxation and peace of not having Carly around to throw orders at them, and were now sitting in Sonny’s Penthouse, waiting for Carly and Leah to get back from Kelly’s. Michael had gotten back earlier from taking Rocky on his walk and was upstairs, finishing up some last minute homework on Sonny’s ‘request’.

All three adults were casually sitting on the couch, engulfed in silence, when Carly and Leah literally flew through the door, laughing hysterically over some joke that Carly had said and didn’t notice all of the eyes watching them until they contained their laughter.

“Hey guys, what’s with the silent treatment?” Leah asked, breaking the silence and walking over to Jason and Sonny, giving them both a kiss on the cheek as she went to sit by her sister, who was pulling away from giving Carly a hug.

“I… Don’t know..” Sonny said awkwardly, causing Leah to look at Carly and mouth ‘what the f*ck?’.

“Alrighty… um so…” she said, trying to lighten the mood when Courtney jumped up suddenly, causing Jason to look at her worriedly.

“I totally forgot, we have to leave pretty soon.” She said, taking Jason’s hand and giving it a quick squeeze as Leah stood up along with Carly, who both had tears in their eyes.

“Ok.. Remember, Stay safe, Have fun, and get beads!” Leah said, hugging her sister who also had tears coming to her eyes as she laughed at her sister’s comment.

“Got it.” she said, nodding her head as Leah walked over to Jason who finished shaking Sonny’s hand.

“Good Luck Jase, I love you.” She said, hugging him tightly as he lifted her up in his arms, causing her to giggle.

“Love you too.” He said, kissing her cheek as she smiled and wiped her tears away while walking over to Sonny and putting her arms around him, leaning her head against his as they watched their Family say goodbye to each other.

Ok Court, don’t forget to go to as many stores as possible… and bring me back something.” Carly said, tears burning her eyes while she embraced Courtney who grinned happily and chuckled at her, pulling away to give her a reassuring smile.

“Don’t worry Carly, I’ll be back.” She said, as tears continued to run down Carly’s cheeks.

“I know, I know, I’m just going to miss you do much!” Carly cried, causing Courtney to burst into tears as the two hugged again, while Jason, Sonny and Leah all watched them patiently and waited for them to finish.

Jason walked over to Courtney and kissed the top of her head, slowly pulling her away from Carly, who was now hysterical. “Carly it’s ok, we’ll call and let you know how we’re doing.” Jason said, making his way over to the door as Sonny quickly put his arms around Carly and sat her down on the couch.

Leah watched the scene in front of her and couldn’t help but laugh. Carly was crying harder then Morgan did with diaper rash, Courtney with her face buried into Jason’s chest and her mutters of ‘this isn’t fair, stupid hormones!’ and Jason who looked absolutely terrified while waving at them and dragging Courtney out the door.

“Bye guys!” Leah cried, waving at them and smiling, excited to see how the diamond engagement ring would look on her sister’s finger when they got back.

*Privet Jet Plane*

Courtney and Jason boarded one of Sonny’s Privet planes and were now sitting comfortably in each others arms on the couch, waiting for the plane to take off. Courtney closed her eyes as she relaxed against Jason’s body, finally understanding what it meant to be ‘at peace’ and not just in it. She had a feeling that this was going to be a trip that they would never forget, if not just for the fact that they would be alone together then maybe it would also be because she couldn’t stop thinking that there was something that Jason was planning for her…

Her thoughts were quickly interrupted when the pilot’s voice came loudly over the intercom, causing Jason to scowl in protest.

“Alright Mr. Morgan, we will be taking off shortly, please fasten your seat belts and remember that the emergency button is right underneath your seats.” He said, as Courtney raised an eyebrow.

“What’s the emergency button for?” she asked curiously as she sat up and found her seat belt.

“Well in case someone needs to Puke, they just press the button and all of the furniture immediately becomes covered with a plastic tarp… Came in handy when Carly was Pregnant.” He said, as Courtney waved her hands around, trying to distract herself from his words.

“God Jason, that’s gross!” She cried, causing him to chuckle at her.

“I’m kidding, if someone’s hurt or needs medical attention for any reason then they press the button.” He explained, giving her a sincere look as she folded her arms across her chest.

“Uh huh.. sure.” She said, rolling her eyes as Jason scooted closer to her.

He leaned in and kissed her firmly, bringing his hands up to cup her face as she sighed into the kiss, completely getting lost in him.

“Believe me now?” he asked slyly, earning a playful slap on the arm from Courtney who shook her head at him.

“Ok Whatever.” She said, grabbing his arms and leaning backward, bringing his body down to hers as he made a purring noise deep within his throat, causing her to giggle.

*A Few Hours Later*

*PH 4*

After Courtney and Jason left, Sonny, Having felt bad that Carly was going through a withdrawal by being separated from her best friend, decided that maybe he could let his ‘no junk food’ rule slide for the night. He ordered Max to go out and get Carly her favorite B n J’s Ice cream, Karamel Sutra, in hopes that she would feel better before they ran out of tissues.

Now she was sitting on the couch, wearing her Flannel pajamas and her hair up in a messy ponytail, holding onto her ice cream for dear life while watching the TV show “Trading Spaces.” She was over half way through the carton when Sonny walked downstairs, noticing crumpled up tissues littering the floor around the couch and Carly with her red and swollen eyes. “Too late…” he thought, while walking over to her and sitting down, scooting closer to her as she watched him wearily out of the corner of her eye and stuffing a large spoonful of ice cream into her mouth. He sighed deeply as he looked over the room, a large stain on the carpeting followed by several empty soda cans. He decided to break the silence that was between them and ask her the question of the night.

“Carly, are you ok?” he asked as she snorted with amusement, Shaking her head while keeping her focus on her dessert.

“As long as you don’t take my ice cream I will be.” She said firmly, looking at him as he raised an eyebrow at her.

“Why would I take it from you? It’s only 280 calor-…” he was saying when she opened her mouth in shock, causing him to stop in mid sentence.

“I know you were not about to say calories in front of me.” She scoffed, fury burning in her eyes as he shifted uncomfortably.

“Ok Carly, I’m Sorry, I won’t say it… umm… what would you think of spending the day with me tomorrow?” he asked uncertainly, hoping she wouldn’t throw anything at him as she slowly turned her head to look at him.

“Doing what?” she asked suspiciously, starting to feel a bit out of it from all the sugar.

“I was thinking maybe I could teach you how to cook…” he said, watching her as she tried to keep her eyes in focus from sheer exhaustion.

“Sonny, I know how to cook.” She said sarcastically, slamming down the now empty carton and rubbing the sides of her head, trying to get rid of the brain freeze.

“No Carly... you don’t.” Sonny stated, giving her an honest look as she rolled her eyes.

“Fine… what are we going to cook?” she asked, the dull throbbing becoming clearer as she felt the effects of a hang over coming on, despite the lack of Alcohol.

“We’re going to make a Baklava.” He said enthusiastically as she stared at him, furrowing her brow.

“A Bak-what?” she asked, looking at him like he was crazy.

“It’s dessert Carly.” He said simply as her face brightened.

“Is it Low Fat?” she asked, frowning at her question.

“Nope.” He said, an amused smile coming to his lips.

“Sugar free?” she asked again.

“No…” he answered, wondering where she was going with the questions.

“High Protein?” she asked, raising her voice slightly causing Sonny to chuckle.

“No Carly, it’s full of crap.” He said as she smiled happily and reached her arms out expectantly. Sonny grinned at her and stood up; bringing her up with him as he carried her up the stairs.

*New Orleans*

Courtney was lying on the plane with Jason asleep in her lap, when the plane descended for its landing. All of a sudden, it skidded to a halt and Jason went flying off the couch onto the floor. Courtney looked at him in shock as he stared around at his surroundings. “What the hell…” he muttered, standing up and rubbing his back as Courtney cautiously stood up as well.

“Are you alright?” she whispered, causing him to smile at her concern.

“Perfect.” He said, kissing her gently as the door to the exit swung open and a Flight attendant grinned excitedly at them as Courtney wrapped her arms around Jason’s waist protectively.

“Hello you two! Welcome to New Orleans.” She said, walking around them and ushering them out of the plane as they noticed their luggage already at the bottom of the stairs waiting for them.

“Do you have any questions before we leave you?” she asked, placing her hands on her hips and tapping her foot rapidly.

“No, I think we’ll manage...” Jason said, looking at her suspiciously as Courtney bit her lip.

“Alrighty then, Enjoy!” she said, waving at them and walking into the plane after folding up the stairs and left both Jason and Courtney out on the landing strip.

“You THINK we’ll manage?” Courtney asked him, releasing her grip on Jason’s waist as

She looked at him questioningly.

“Hey, we’ll be ok.” He said reassuringly and kissing her forehead as he picked up their suitcases. She just stood and stared at him, looking extremely confused.

“But what does that have to do wi-…” she was saying when he silenced her with his eyes, and grabbed a hold of her hand, causing her to sigh and let go of the subject, anxious to finally get to their hotel.

*The Next Morning*

*PH 3*

Leah had been woken up that morning by a phone call from her Brother, asking her to take care of Michael for the day while he taught Carly to cook and Leticia took care of Morgan. She immediately agreed, always welcoming the idea of spending time with one of her nephews and was now walking around her penthouse, trying to keep her mind focused while she waited for Sonny to bring Michael over, and for Lucky to meet them before they headed to the park.

She was about to head to the kitchen for some water when she heard a knocking sound coming from the door. Wondering whether is was her boyfriend, or her nephew that decided to arrive first she opened the door to see Michael standing in front of her, an overstuffed backpack hanging from his shoulders and a baseball cap on top of his Auburn Hair, with a huge grin on his face. Leah returned the smile and rushed forward, scooping him up in her arms and swinging him around the room as he held onto her and laughed happily.

“Mmm, Mikey it’s been way to long.” She said, releasing him from the embrace and stepping back to get a good look at him as he giggled and shook his head amusedly.

“Aunt Leah, I saw you yesterday.” He reminded her, giving her an expectant look as she just squinted her eyes thoughtfully.

“Are you sure?” she asked, pretending to think as he nodded his head furiously, looking a bit like a bobble head doll. “That’s still too long!” She cried, giving him another hug as he groaned in frustration from all of the ‘mushy stuff’ that his aunt was putting him through, causing her to burst out laughing right when Lucky walked in.

Surveying the scene before him, Lucky felt his heart melt immediately, only making him realize what a wonderful mother she would be. He reached his hand into his pocket to make sure that his ‘surprise’ was still there and smiled to himself. He had decided on proposing to her in the Park, while Michael played so they could have some peace and quite. He had thought about asking Carly for help with the ring, but knew Leah enough to know what she liked.

As soon as Leah released her nephew again, she noticed Lucky standing in the doorway, a smile on his face as he looked at her lovingly. She giggled as Michael ran up to his ‘Uncle Lucky’ and jumped into his arms, probably thankful for no more womanly embraces. They were talking quickly about the Yankee’s game that had been on the previous night and how Rocky chewed on a pair of Carly’s tennis shoes, but were alright because Sonny had fixed them before she found out.

Setting him down, Lucky turned towards Leah and kissed her passionately on the lips, earning a few remarks from Michael.

“Ewwww! There is a child in the room!” he cried, covering his eyes with his hands as Leah laughed at him.

“Hey Michael, why don’t you do that when your parent’s kiss?” Lucky asked questioningly, placing his hands on Leah’s hips as Michael gave him a look.

“It’s not the same; she’s my Au-…” he was saying when Lucky interrupted him.

“Ok you little hypocrite, zip it.” Lucky said as he leaned in and kissed Leah again, who smiled into the kiss and hit him playfully on the chest, pulling away and shaking her head at him as he just shrugged his shoulders and motioned for Michael to follow him as they headed out of the penthouse, on their way to the park.

*PH 4*

Sonny was in the kitchen, after making sure Michael got to his Aunt’s penthouse alright, and was now waiting for Carly to come down from ‘getting ready’ for their cooking lesson. He laid all of the ingredients on the counter and was flipping through his cookbook for the recipe when Carly nearly tumbled down the stairs, trying to get her black lace apron on. Sonny stared at her in shock, not knowing what to say on account of her wardrobe and barely noticed when she smacked him over the head with her little flower oven mitts.

“Sonny, are you going to just stand there all day or are we going to cook some Baklivit?” she asked, causing him to cringe at what she called the dessert. He slowly turned around to face her and looked her in the eye as she put her hands on her hips impatiently.

He sighed and rubbed his hands over his face tiredly, silently sending up a prayer that his pots and pans would be spared from this ‘adventure’ they were about to go on. “Alright Carly, first of all, it’s Baklava... ok? And second, please be careful around the Cooking we-…” he was saying when she interrupted him and waved her hands around aimlessly.

“Yeah Yeah Yeah, Let’s just get Crackin’.” She said, rolling up her sleeves and turning towards the cooking material, she picked up an Egg and burst out laughing, causing Sonny to looking at her confusedly. “Crackin’! Eggs... oh my god!” she cried, holding onto the counter for dear life as she continued her rant. Sonny just stared at her and shook his head, wondering if he would be able to handle the rest of the day alone with her.

Sonny walked over to her and took the egg out of her hands, setting it down on the counter he took her face in his hands and kissed her gently, causing her to stop laughing immediately from surprise. “ok, First things first…” he said, picking up the cook book and turning to the appropriate page. “We need 1 pound melted butter, and 1 pound filo shee-…” he was saying when she held up her hand.

“Wait, what the hell is a filo?” she asked, looking at him like he was crazy.

“Carly, I don’t even know!!” he cried, quickly losing his patience as she glared at him.

“well Damn you don’t have to yell.” She muttered, folding her arms across her chest as he took a deep breath.

“ok... then we need 1 pound shelled walnuts and 2/3 cups granulated suga-…” he said when he was again interrupted by Carly.

“Sonny Wait! I can’t even find the butter!!” she yelled, rushing over to the fridge, obviously not noticing all of the ingredients already on the counter.

“God, just kill me know.” He said, slamming the book down and laying his head on top of it as Carly frantically ran around the kitchen, looking for her supplies.

*Le Pavillon Hotel* Room 426*

Courtney was seated on Jason’s lap, in one of their many plush Sofa’s that they had in their room, running her hands up and down his chest as he slept, or so she thought. She sighed deeply and kissed his chin, leaning her head up against his and wrapping her arms around his neck. She clung onto him, afraid to let go in case Sonny called and ordered them to come back home for some ‘business’ reason, like he always did. All of a sudden, she noticed his eyes flutter open for a moment, then quickly shut when he saw her looking at him. Finally aware that he was wide awake, she decided to do a bit of acting, only knowing that she wasn’t really… but she still didn’t want him to know her secret. Situating herself so that she was comfortable, she started talking to Jason in his ‘sleep’.

“Hey Jase, I know your sleeping, so this will be easier for me to say to you… but um, I’m pregnant…” she said. As soon as she finished, his eye’s jerked up, both as big as dinner plates and staring at her in shock.

“Are you serious?” he asked, holding onto her waist so hard that she thought she would burst.

“No… Jason, I was kidding, honey just calm down!” she said, taking his hands and loosening them as he took a deep breath. “And besides, I thought you were sleeping.” She stated, raising her eyebrow at him as he bit his lip.

“I was, you just talk to loudly.” He explained as she hit him on the arm. He intercepted her and grabbed hold of her wrists, crashing his lips down on hers as she moaned into the kiss, deciding that her secret could wait for the right time in which she would tell him, but right now she wanted to think about him… and only him.

“So… when can I go and get my beads?” Courtney asked him, grinning as he scowled to himself, when suddenly he lifted her off of his lap and placed her on the couch as he ran over to their suitcase.

“Baby, what are yo-…” she asked him, confusion claiming her as he held a paper bag in his hand and walked back over to her.

“Here.” He said simply, blushing slightly and holding the back out for her as she gaped at him.

She looked at him suspiciously and took the bag out of his hand, opening it slowly she couldn’t help but laugh. Inside were about 5 or 6 different beaded necklaces, all in bright colors. She raised her head and looked him in the eye, seeing the unsettledness that he had inside of him and felt her _expression soften immediately.

“You bought me beads?” she asked softly as he lowered his head uncertainly.

“I’m Sorry.” He replied, wringing his hands as she jerked her head back, surprised that he had apologized for something so… Sweet.

“Why would you be sorry?” she asked, getting up on her knees and motioning for him to come over to her.

“Because I know that you wanted to get the beads on your own.” He said, walking over to her and brushing back a loose piece of hair from her face. “But you know… there is some way that you can earn these…” he said micheivesely as a grin appeared on her face.

“Oh really?” she asked, jumping up from her seat carefully and following him into their bedroom.

“Absolutely.” He answered, silently reminding himself that his surprise could wait as Courtney did the same.

*Port Charles Community Park*

As Leah, Lucky and Michael all approached the park; Mikey immediately ran over to the swings and jumped on, anxious to play with the rest of his friends. Keeping a close eye on him, Lucky and Leah both headed over to a large wooden bench. Just as they were about to sit down, Leah felt dizzy and everything went black, just when she was about to hit the ground, Lucky caught her in his arms and picked her up, laying her down in his lap on the grass as she came too.

“That hasn’t happened since I was….” She thought, placing her hand to her forehead as Lucky looked at her worriedly. “Could it be possible?” she asked herself, biting her lip and turning her head to look at Lucky.

“Baby, are you ok? What happened?” he asked concern visible in his voice as she took a deep breath.

“I’m not sure, I just felt Dizzy.” She said uncertainly as he gave her a knowing look.

“You haven’t done that since you were…” he said, stopping mid sentence as Michael ran over to them.

“Aunt Leah… are you … ok?” he asked, trying to catch his breath in between sentences.

“I’m fine Mikey, really. You can go play.” She said, rubbing his arm reassuring as he kissed her cheek and ran back to the playground.

After Michael left, Lucky picked her up again and placed her on the bench, holding onto her firmly so that she didn’t fall off. “Better?” he asked, a small smile on his face as she nodded to him.

“Yeah, I’m ok… really…” she said, noticing the doubt in his eyes. He just sighed and turned his head to look at the sunset that was approaching, even though it still had a ways to go as it was only 4 o’clock.

He reached into his pocket once more, making sure that the ring was still there, which didn’t go unnoticed by Leah.

“Lucky, what’s in your pocket?” she asked curiously. Folding her legs up and resting her head on her knees as he glanced nervously at her.

“Umm… well, ok I guess this is as good a time as any…” he said, reaching into his pocket again as she watched him wearily.

He pulled out a small black velvet box and Leah felt her breath get caught in her throat. “This is actually happening?! Oh my god it is!!” she thought to herself, emotions flying all over the place as she felt tears in her eyes.

Lucky got off the bench and bent down on his Right knee, taking her hand in his he took another deep breath and began to speak.

“Leah, when I first met you, it felt like something out of a movie. Where this beautiful girl walks into the room and this one guy is totally mesmerized by her, and then there is that one word that starts the romance… Hey.” He started, the last part causing her to giggle through her tears. “That Night in the 8th grade, when we had the country festival and you pushed me into the wagon of hay and laid there with me until midnight. That confirmed how much love that I had for you. You have made me happier than I have ever been in my entire life, and I want to do that for you for the rest of our lives if you’ll let me. Leah, will you marry me?” he said. his heart beating rapidly as he waited for her answer.

*PH 4*

Carly was walking downstairs and headed into the kitchen when she began to feel very lightheaded and lost her balance, crashing down onto the floor with a Thud. Sonny immediately rushed downstairs to see what had happened and saw Carly lying on the floor. He ran over to her and lifted her head into his lap, while reaching into his pocket to pull out his cell phone. He called Max and ordered him to pull the car around to take them to the Hospital. He lifted Carly up in his arms and walked out the front door, heading down to the garage to see what was going on.

*General Hospital*Room 67*

Carly was put into her own hospital room, on Sonny’s orders, and was seated on her bed in a hospital gown. She had been out since they arrived to the hospital and Sonny was becoming worried that something was seriously wrong. He held her hand and kissed it softly, hoping to reassure her that he was there for her. He laid his head down on her stomach when all of a sudden he felt her body shift underneath him. He looked up to see Carly’s eyes flutter open and her beautiful face break out into a small smile.

“Sonny? What happe-…” she whispered when he put his finger up to her lips.

“Baby, you need to rest, the doctor will be here soon to tell us what it goi-…” he was saying as Doctor Jones walked in.

“Well Mrs. Corinthos, we took some tests to see what is going on with you… and we found out that your -…” he started, walking up to her bed as they listened intently.
