Summary: In this story, Courtney comes to town in search for a new life for herself and her family. She may just find more than what she was bargaining for. The last thing she ever expected was to fall in love that will turn her life upside down.


Prolouge:

Courtney just found out about her father Mike who her mother told her had walked out on them when she was just a little girl. She had never known her father and couldn't even remember him. She was glad that she had for her children's sake. They deserved to know they're grandfather. And now they had more than that. They had her brother Sonny, her sister-in-law Carly, and her beautiful nephew Michael. She had found a close friend in Carly. She just loved Michael to death and he got along great with Jared and Abbey. Sonny, was hard for her to get along with. He was always wanting to control her life. But they got along though  for the most part. She was supposed to have Sonny, Carly, and Michael over for dinner that night and they were supposed to bring an old friend that had just got back in to town. She had no idea that that dinner was going to change her life forever.

Chapter One

Courtney's House

KNOCK KNOCK

Courtney: "Jared, please answer the door!" she yelled from the beautifully kitchen she
decorated herself in red checkered and sunflowers.

Jared: "But Mooommmmmm!" he said from his room while playing his brand new video
game "Grand Theft Auto".

Courtney: "Don't Mom me! Now get the door. And don't make me tell you again." She said
getting frustrated with her son.

Jared: "Fine!" he said turning off his game while he himself was getting upset with his
mother. So he went and opened the door only to see his Aunt Carly and his best friend and
cousin Michael. "Hey Mikey! What's up?"

Michael: "Nothing much. How about you?"

Jared: "I was just playing the new video game mom got me."

Michael: "Grand Theft Auto!?"

Jared: "Yeah she got it for me today on her way home from work" he gloated.

Carly: "Well that's great. But where's your mom?" Carly asked knowing the boys were
about to speed up stairs to play the new game where they wouldn't see them until dinner
and then wouldn't see them much then because they would just hurry and swallow without
even chewing.
  
Jared: "She's in the kitchen with Abbey cooking. Where's Uncle Sonny?"

Michael: "Dad is waiting for Jason then they are going to come over together."

Carly: "Ok the two of you go now, I'm gonna go help Courtney and Abbey. Ok go go on
now!" Michael and Jared then went up to Jared's room to once again play that stupid
XBOX. Carly then walked in to the kitchen to see a very delicious dinner ready to eat.
"Hey what's going on in here?"

Abbey: "Hey Aunt Carly" The young girl said while running to her favorite aunt.

Carly: "Hey Abbey!" Carly said genuinely happy to see her only niece.

Courtney: "Hey Abbey, sweetheart, would you mind going to set the table in the dining
room please?"

Abbey: "OK Mom, which china do you want to use?"
Courtney: “Um.. use the white ones with the silver trim.”
Abbey: “OK. No problem Mom.”
Courtney: "Yes, please, thank you." she said as her only daughter walked in the dining
room. "Hey so how is my favorite sister-in-law" she stated while going to Carly for a hug
which was gladly accepted.

Carly: "So.." she said with that smile of hers that only met one thing. Trouble.
Courtney: "So... what" she said as though she didn't know what was about to be said.
Carly: "So are you excited about meeting Jason?" she asked full of curiosity.
Courtney: "Oh no Carly there is no way you're gonna do this"
Carly: "Do what?"
Courtney: "Do not even think that you are gonna fix me up with Jason."
Carly: "What, why not? He is a great guy."
Courtney: "I'm not saying that he's not."
Carly: "Come on give him a shot. Please!!!"
Courtney: "If I tell you I'll think about it, will you lay off of it?"
Carly: "I give my word."
Courtney: "Alright."
Carly: "Fantastic."

KNOCK KNOCK

Courtney: " I'll be right back." As Courtney made her way from the kitchen though the
living room until she got to the door. She opened the door to find...
