Sequel to “The Things You Do For Love”

Prologue:  A Plan in Motion

The brunette’s eyes darted around her surroundings, an uneasy feeling overcoming her. 

“AJ, what are we doing here?”  Elizabeth whined.  “I mean it’s cold and damp and it smells horrible!” 

“Just wait and see,” AJ informed Liz, not even trying to hide the frustration in his voice. 

AJ was getting extremely impatient with his partner in crime.

“Ahhh!  OH MY GOD I THINK I JUST SAW A RAT!” Elizabeth screamed, running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

“Would you shut-up!” AJ hollered.  “This cabin is the perfect spot to hold our meetings!  It is very secluded and people think it is abandoned, no one will suspect a thing.” 

Before Elizabeth had a chance to protest the door swung open and a tall, stern man with broad shoulders walked into the dark dingy room.

“Elizabeth I would like you to meet Tony, our secret weapon.” AJ announced, making introductions.

“What, AJ I am confused.  You said nothing about a third partner,” Elizabeth pondered aloud. 

“You confused, shocking!” AJ scoffed.  “Tony is Sonny Corinthos newest bodyguard.”

Elizabeth looked at Tony and then back to AJ, a panicked look crossing her features.  Giving a fake smile to Tony, Elizabeth pulled AJ out of his earshot. 

“Sonny’s newest bodyguard?  You mean Sonny already knows about our plan!  Oh my God, we are going to die!”  Elizabeth started to sob.

“You really are dumber than you look Elizabeth.  Tony works for me.  He managed to get a job with Sonny guarding Carly, Courtney and the children.”

“How do you know he is loyal?  I mean what if Sonny really is on to us and then he hired Tony to pretend to work for you so you would get Tony to pretend to work for him and then have our whole plan backfire?”

AJ had to roll his eyes.  ‘She is such an idiot’ he thought.  “Do you want Jason back or not?” AJ asked Liz.

“Of course I do.”

“Then shut your mouth and listen to me.  I am paying Tony an unbelievable amount of money to be loyal to me.  It is his job to get close to Courtney and have her trust him.”  AJ began to explain.  “And just when Courtney starts to feel comfortable, BANG!  Tony snatches Chance right from under mommy-dearest’s nose!  That’s when I make my move!”

“So when do I get Jason?” Elizabeth interrupted. 

“After Courtney and I leave the country with our new son,” AJ explained, “you can be there to comfort Jason.”

“It will never work AJ.  Courtney would never leave her son lying around for someone to snatch,” Elizabeth informed.

“That’s what these are for” Tony informed, finally speaking out from his quiet reverie, surprising Elizabeth.

“Jason and Courtney aren’t dumb AJ.  Won’t they suspect it was Tony who took Chance?”

“Don’t worry your pretty little head Liz,” AJ soothed, “let me take care of all the details.”

“This better work!” Elizabeth warned AJ, crossing her arms defensively in front of her.

“I am finally going to get my wife and child back!” AJ smiled wickedly.
