Summary: Courtney Matthews is a teenager living in Los Angeles. Her best friend
Carly moved to Port Charles over a year ago. This summer she will be working
with Carly at a day camp in Port Charles. Courtney will meet Carly's boyfriend
Sonny, and her new friends Jason, Emily, and Nikolas. What surprises will come
this summer when Courtney meets Carly's new friends especially Jason?
A/N:
Courtney, Jason and Nikolas are 16 and they are going to be junior's in high
school. Emily is 15 and she is going to be a sophomore in high school. Carly
and Sonny are 17 and they are going to be seniors in high school. Carly and
Sonny are dating and so are Emily and Nikolas. All six of them will be working
at the day camp this summer.
Courtney
Matthews woke up when the morning sun shined brightly through her windows. She
rubbed her eyes to get out of her sleepy state and remembered that today was
the day she would be going to Port Charles to spend the summer with Carly. She
missed her so much, she couldn't wait to see her. She got out of bed and
changed into a cute mini skirt, tank top, and matching flip flops. She picked
up her suitcases and carried them into the living room towards the front door.
"Good
morning Court," Janine said from the kitchen "Do you want any
breakfast?"
"Morning
mom, yeah I would like some scrambled eggs," she answered as she put her
suitcases down on the floor.
"Sure,"
Janine said "They will be ready in a few."
"Ok,"
Courtney said as she went into the bathroom to wash her face and put on a light
amount of make up because that's all she needed.
A
little while later Courtney and Janine arrived at the airport to wait for her
ten o'clock flight. They walked to her terminal and waited for her flight
to be called.

While
Courtney was waiting for her flight Carly was running around her house like a
mad woman. She wanted everything to be perfect for when her best friend
arrived. Bobbie walked into the living room with a puzzling look on her face
when she saw what her daughter was doing.
"Carly,
why are you whisking the couch its clean." Bobbie asked.
Carly
looked at her mother and said " Mom I want everything to be perfect for
when Courtney gets here. I haven't seen her in so long."
"Carly
I understand, but nothing has changed between you and Courtney. You guys talk
at least once a week you just haven't seen each other. It never bothered
Courtney how the house looked. She basically lived with us and now she is and
it didn't bother her then and it won't bother her now," Bobbie said to
make her daughter feel better.
"Thanks
mom. Your right, but since I started whisking the couch the least I could do is
finish, it kind of needs it,".
"Ok
finish it, but no more cleaning this is the best the house has ever looked and
please just relax. Courtney is the same person she was before we moved and so
are you," Bobbie said as walked out of the living room and upstairs to
change for her shift at the hospital.
Carly
smiled to herself at what her mother said and it just got her more excited to
see Courtney.

"Flight
297 to Port Charles is now boarding at Terminal 3," the flight attendant
said into the intercom.
Courtney
stood up when the announcement was finished. " Bye mom I will see you in a
couple of months,".
"Bye
hun, I will miss you. Have fun this summer and enjoy yourself. Tell Bobbie and
Carly I say hi," Janine said as she hugged her daughter good bye.
"I
will mom promise,".
Courtney
walked to the terminal and handed the flight attendant her ticket. She then
boarded her plane and found her seat. The plane took off at exactly ten o'clock
that morning. She knew when the plane took off that her amazing summer with
Carly was going to begin and she couldn't wait.
Chapter
2
Carly
was sitting down reading a magazine when the phone rang.
"Hello," she answered.
"Hey hun its me I wanted to tell you that Courtney's plane is on schedule
and that you should leave for the airport in about twenty minutes. Ok?,"
Bobbie said.
"Thanks mom I will leave in twenty minutes. I can't wait to see her. I
will talk to you later. Bye,".
"Bye,"
Bobbie said and she hung up the phone and continued her shift at the hospital.
She was upset that she couldn't pick up Courtney with Carly at the airport. She
really missed Courtney. Courtney was like a daughter to her, but that changed
when she got transferred to General Hospital.

Courtney
sat up and fixed her seat as the flight attendant had said to since they were
beginning to descend and would be landing in Port Charles very soon. Courtney
was becoming very exciting to see Carly. As soon as the plane landed she wanted
to make sure she was one of the first one's off and she was.

Carly walked
into the airport and found her way to the terminal of where Courtney would be
coming from. When she arrived there the plane had just landed and no one was
allowed to come off yet. When she saw people starting to come off the plane she
spotted Courtney right away. As soon as she saw her she waved.

Courtney
made her way off the plane and saw Carly waving at her. She ran over to her and
gave her a huge hug.
"I
missed you so much you don't understand," Courtney said as she broke away
from her best friend.
"I
definitely do because I missed you like crazy," Carly answered her.
"How was the flight?"
"It
was ok I just wanted to get here so fast."
"I
know I wanted to see you so badly. It was hard for me to keep myself busy all I
wanted to do was come here and wait for you and now you're here."
"I'm
here and you're stuck with me the whole summer. Think you can handle that
Carly?"
"You
bet I can. Let's go get your bags from the baggage claim and then I can take
you home and help you unpack."
"Sounds
good to me."
Carly
and Courtney headed to the baggage claim and got Courtney's suitcases. They
carried them to Carly's car and they drove to Carly's house. On the way to
Carly's they caught up with each other and on how everything was going. When
they arrived Carly showed Courtney to the room she would be staying in.
"This
is your room," Carly said when they got upstairs. "The room next to
it is mine and the bathroom is down the hall. I hope its ok."
"Of
course its ok Carly. You know nothing has to be perfect with me and this is
exactly what this room is. So don't worry."
"Your
right and your probably not going to spend a lot of time in their anyway we
will be having sleep overs like every night."
"That's
just what I was thinking," Courtney said with a laugh as she remembered
some of the past sleep overs they used to have when they were younger. "
So where's Bobbie? I was hoping to see her too this summer."
"You
will see her don't worry. She has to work the late shift at the hospital
tonight so it's just us for now."
"How
does she like the new job compared to the one back in L.A.?"
"She
likes it a lot actually. The people here are really nice and she likes her
colleagues. It's a cute little town. Do you want me to show you around now or
wait until tomorrow morning?"
"Well
if there's a place to eat on your tour then definitely tonight. I'm starving.
They didn't serve any food on the plane."
"I'm
starving too. I know of a great place where we can eat. Let's get you unpacked
and I can show you."
"Sounds
great," Courtney said as they headed into her room to unpack her
suitcases.

While
Carly and Courtney were unpacking, Sonny, Jason, Emily and Nikolas were having
dinner at Kelly's.
"Hey Sonny. Where's Carly tonight?," Jason asked.
"She's
picking up her friend Courtney from California at the airport. She's spending
the summer with Carly and working with us at the day camp."
"Right.
I forgot Courtney was coming. Carly talks about her non-stop. I feel like I
know her already," Jason said.
"Yeah
me too," Emily and Nikolas chime in.
"What
time is her flight supposed to be in tonight?," Emily asked.
"Carly
said it was supposed to land around seven. She said she would try and meet us
tonight for dinner so we could meet Courtney. She just wasn't sure how tired
she might be from her flight," Sonny answered.
"Well
if they don't come by tonight we will meet her at camp orientation
tomorrow," Jason said and they all nodded.

After
Courtney and Carly had unpacked Courtney's things they headed out. Carly showed
Courtney around Port Charles and Courtney loved how peaceful the small town
was. She was used to a big city with people everywhere, but she like this new
environment. Carly ended the tour on the docks and then she took Courtney to
dinner at Kelly's. When they walked in Carly immediately saw Sonny, Jason,
Emily, and Nikolas and she walked over to them with Courtney. She had told her
on the way here that they would probably see them there and she couldn't wait
to introduce them.
"Hey
guys," Carly said when she had walked over to the table. "I would
like you guys to meet Courtney."
"Hey
hun," Sonny said as he stood up and gave his girlfriend a kiss. He then
stuck out his hand to Courtney and said "Hi, I'm Sonny. Nice to meet
you."
Courtney
shook his hand and said "Nice to meet you too."
Emily,
Nikolas and Jason also stood up and shook Courtney's hand as well. When
Courtney and Jason shook hands a jolt of electricity went through them and it
caused them to stare into each others eyes. Jason just kept thinking how
gorgeous she was and Courtney kept thinking how hot he was. Jason and Courtney
just stood there in silence staring at each other. Carly broke the trance
between them when she said "Court hun what do you want to eat?" At
that moment Courtney and Jason realized they were still holding hands and
quickly broke apart. "I'll have a salad Carly," Court answered as she
took a seat next to her at the table with the rest of them. Throughout dinner
Courtney got acquainted with everyone and she answered all the questions they
had for her. Courtney and Jason were also glancing at each other the whole time
and it didn't go unnoticed by Carly. When they all had finished eating they
said their good byes and that they would se each other the next day at
orientation.
On the
ride back to Carly's, Carly asked "You like Jason don't you."
Courtney gave her a look like what are you talking about. "Carly I just
met him." She knew deep down she was starting to fall for the Jason, but
she didn't want to tell Carly right away. She knew better. " Don't deny it
Court I know you. The way you were acting and the glances you giving him during
dinner it was so obvious." "Carly just drop it." "Not until
you tell me the truth." "Ok Carly you win I like Jason, but you can't
say a word to anyone and don't even try to set us up ok. You have to promise
me." "Ok Court I promise." And with that the rest of the ride to
Carly's was quiet.

At the
same time Sonny was asking Jason the same question. "You like Courtney
don't you. Don't even think of denying it Jase. I know you too well. I saw the
look in your eyes when you first saw her."
"So." "So, I also saw the glances you were you were giving her
throughout dinner." Jason thought no one had noticed that except for
Courtney, but he was wrong. " Fine Sonny I like her ok. Don't you dare
tell Carly she will do something to ruin by setting us up. Please if there is
anything there just let it develop on its own." "Fine with me."

That
night in bed all Courtney could think about was Jason. She couldn't wait to see
him tomorrow and she wondered if he felt the same. She saw the glances that he
was giving her and she knew he noticed the one's she gave back. She fell asleep
dreaming of Jason ans what it would be like to be with him. What she didn't
know was that Jason was dreaming about her as he slept and wanted the morning
to come so he could see her again.
