Summary: Courtney does the unthinkable and leaves Port Charles and will her love for Jason be able to bring her back or will it be too late

Part One

“Courtney you can’t leave you’re my best friend and the boys need you.” Carly said. “Carly I can’t stay here any longer, Jason hates me enough and wishes he never married me. Sonny can’t even look at me well enough talk to me, all the reasons for me staying are gone.” “What about me and boys and Mike? What about us?” “You guys will do fine with out me and maybe one day I’ll come back but right now Carly I can’t stay.  I hope you understand.” “Of course I understand sweetheart it’s just that I am going to miss you and I know that the boys will miss you too.” “ Carly I am going to miss you guys too. But can you do me a favor though?” “Of course” “please don’t tell Jason that I have left and if he ever finds out please don’t tell him where I’ve gone.” “Ok, but why Court why don’t you want Jason to know?” “He won’t understand why I had to leave.” “Why do you have to leave?” “ I just can’t stay here where I can run into him and make him regret marring me even more. I’ve never been able to give Jason anything before Carly. I couldn’t give him a child, I couldn’t stay married to him like I said I would on our wedding day, but I can leave so he will never have to see me again and he can move on with his life.” “DAMN Jason, Courtney. do you love him?” “Yes with every being in my body” “then fight Damn it fight. If love isn’t strong enough to fight than what is?” “Carly you don’t get it; I am tired of fighting, I am tried of always being on the back burner in his life when Sonny always comes first. I just can’t do it anymore. Ok?” “Ok”  “I love you Carly and the boys, I better get going I still have to say good-bye to my dad.” “Bye Courtney call me when you get in and I love you” they hugged for a couple of minutes. Now both women where in tears when they heard the doorbell ring, pulling apart, they both said bye and Courtney made her way to the door. When she opened it, Jason was standing on the other side. “I’ll come back later I see you have company” Jason said turning getting ready to leave.” “No it’s ok I was leaving any way, bye Carly”: bye Courtney” with that Courtney left to go say her final good bye to her dad.  She arrived at Kelly’s sooner than she thought she would, giving her a second to pick up a coffee for the road. “Hello princess” her dad said from behind “Daddy” she cried, “ I thought you weren’t going to make it”. “Of course I would make it. Do you think I wouldn’t say good bye to my baby girl?” they both hugged and Courtney tells him that she needs to get going or she will never leave. He didn’t think it was a bad idea for her to stay but he knew she had to go. “Bye daddy I love you” “bye princess I love you too.” With that Courtney left she got in her car and headed down the road, she didn’t know where she was going she thought she would head back to Atlantic City but then deiced against it. Why? Why did she knock him over the head and save Alcazar, when they were getting back together? I just threw it all away for what to say I stand by what I believe in she thought. As she was driving down the road her mind was brought back to when she told Carly he didn’t love her anymore. She was now in tears and could barely see ahead of her when she lost control of the car heading into a tree.

Mean while at Carly’s

“Hey Jase” Carly said, “Hey, I’m sorry Courtney left I could have come back later.” “No Jase she was just leaving” and with that Carly started to cry. “What’s the matter” Jason asked when he saw his best friend begin to cry. “Its nothing really” she said afraid that she might blurt the fact that Courtney left. “ No it’s something Carly you can tell me.” “ No I can’t I promised” “promised what? Who?”  “Not to tell you she left” “who left?” ”Courtney” the one word that made his heart beat a little faster. “ What do you mean she left? I saw her go.” “No Jase she’s gone she only came to say good bye before she left.” Jason’s heart sank at the thought of not seeing her again. “ Don’t worry Carly she’ll be back,” he said trying to reassure him self as much as Carly. “Damn it Jason don’t you get it or are you just dumb?” Carly asked knowing she was probably hurting Jason but not caring. “She left port Charles, meaning she’s not coming back.” “What do you mean she left this is her home?” “No Jason you are her home and you don’t love her anymore so she left. She thought it was the one thing she could do for you.” “What I still love her she is everything to me I wake up longing to be next to her, I go to sleep dreaming of her. She is the only thing that matters. Why could I stop loving her?” “But Jason she heard you talking to me saying you never wanted to see her again and that you regretted marring her and then you signed the divorce papers.” “ I was hurt, I could never live my life with out her in it.” With that, Jason began to leave so he could go find his love. “Carly” he said as he reached the door “where did she say she was going?” “She didn’t she said she would call me when she got in” “bye Carly if she calls” “I know call you”. With that, Jason left pulling out his cell phone-calling Sonny first.

Meanwhile side of the road

Courtney was lying unconscious when a man saw her car and pulled over. She had blood coming out from her head, and the man immediately picked her up and rushed her to General hospital. When they got there, she had to immediately go into surgery.

Meanwhile back

“Sonny” Jason asked, “We have a problem” “what is it?” Sonny asked thinking it had something to do with the shipment coming in. “it’s Courtney she’s left town.” “What do you mean my sister left town and where is she going?” “I don’t know all I know is that she left this afternoon after saying good bye to Carly.” “What Carly knew she was leaving town and didn’t stop her.”? “Sonny you know Courtney she is stubborn she thought leaving was the best thing for her to do. So she left, I know Carly and she probably fought for her to stay but in the end she left.” “We have to find her Jason. I want every guy we have trying to locate her. I want her found now” with that, Sonny hung up the phone leaving to go be with Sam his new mistress. Jason called all of his men and told them to find her and bring her home to their home. All Jason wanted to do was hold her and tell her he was sorry and never let go.

Meanwhile in surgery

Courtney lay there unconscious as the doctors tried to stop the bleeding but couldn’t get it to stop. She had been unconscious for four hours and the doctors didn’t think it was good. She barley had a heartbeat when she flat lined beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee beeeeeppppppp. Was all they heard until there was no noise at all and she stopped breathing. The doctor’s immediately tried to get her to come back and after two minutes, they were about to stop when she came back.

Meanwhile at Carly’s

Carly was on her way out the door when her cell phone rang, she quickly picked it up hoping it was Courtney. “No Jason she hasn’t called” she said to Jason who was wondering if Courtney had called yet. Hoping she was ok.” Yes Jason, I will call you if I hear anything.” With that, she hung up heading to go she her mom Bobbie at the hospital. But when Courtney arrived, she was not ready for what she saw. Walking in Carly saw Courtney being rolled out of surgery. “Courtney” Carly cried right before she hit the grown and a nurse running to see if she was ok before the nurse called Bobbie. Bobbie rushed over to her daughter but all Carly could say was “Courtney” over and over again. Bobbie not knowing what to do called Jason and told him to rush down to the hospital. But none of them knowing that Courtney still lye down the hall unconscious.

Meanwhile at Penthouse 2

Both Sonny and Jason were standing in the living room discussing what they found out about Courtney and were her car was found. When Jason’s phone rang “Morgan” he answered, “yes Bobbie I will be right there” after hanging up, he told Sonny that they need to get down to the hospital.

Meanwhile General hospital

When Sonny and Jason got down there neither of them were ready for the scene they walk into. There in the chair sat Carly hysterically crying while still saying Courtney over and over again. When Carly finally looked up and saw Jason she just ran into his arms and started to cry even harder. Whispering it was going to be ok he ask her what was wrong and all she could say was Courtney. “What about Courtney” he asked “she here I saw her.” Carly replied. “Carly what do you mean Courtney is here” Sonny asked his estranged wife. “She here I saw her being rolled out of surgery when I came in.” “OMG” Bobbie said “Bobbie is Courtney her was she in surgery?” Jason asked, “not that I know of the only surgery that I know of was of a Jane do that some guy brought in from the side of the road.” “OMG that’s her Jason I know it” Carly said “why wouldn’t we know that Courtney was her” Sony asked his mother in law “hold on let me go she if our Jane Do is really Courtney” Bobbie said before she disappeared. When Bobbie came back none of them where ready for what she had to say. “Jason Courtney is here” “what is she ok?” he asked interrupting her. “You guys might want to sit down for this” Bobbie said nodding towards the chairs. “Courtney is unconscious, she lost a lot of blood before the surgery, and the doctors don’t know if she will wake up because of what happened in surgery.” “Mom what happened? Carly asked her mom now holding on to Jason with everything that she has in her. “She flat lined and it was very hard to reviver her.” it was too much for Jason to handle he had to get out of there. They were telling him that the love of his life, the only person who ever understood him might never wakeup and be lost to him forever. Jason just got up leaving the hospital he needed to think. He rushed out of there over towards Harbor View Towers were his bike was.
