Chapter 5

Homeroom

Courtney walked into homeroom,obviously still mad from her encounter with Carly.Courtney took a seat in her usual seat and smiled at Jason who was next to her,Jason could see something was bothering Courtney.

"Hey Court,you alright?"Jason asked

"Yeah,fine"Courtney smiled

"No your not"Jason told her

Courtney turned to him "You can read me so well"

Jason smiled "Yes,I can.Now,are you going to tell me what happened or what?"

"Well,Carly and I had a fight"Courtney told him.

"Oh yeah,about what?"Jason asked being curious.

"She lied to me and kept a secret from me,one that shouldn't have been kept"Courtney said

"Oh"Jason answered simply."Is thier anything I can do?"

Courtney smiled "No,I'm just mad thats all"

Carly then walked into homeroom and took her usual seat in front of Courtney.She felt Courtney's eyes burning into her. The bell for first class rang and everyone stood up,except Carly she was putting books into her bag when she looked up,she was shocked to see Jason and Courtney holding hands. She smiled to herself,her and Courtney might be fighting,but she was still happy for her bestfriend,no ex bestfriend now.Carly knew she had screwed up by never teling Courtney about her and Sonny,but it was always a touchy subject for her and lets face it she was still in love with Sonny,3 years later.She regretted not telling Courtney,but she was also mad that Sonny told Courtney,maybe he did it to purposely ruin our friendship,Carly though.She couldn't imagine Sonny doing that.She finished putting her books in her bag and left her homeroom and headed towards her first class.

Lunch

"So,your never going to talk to Carly again?"Jason asked

"I don't know"Courtney responded "Right now I am really upset and I don't even want to think about her"

"Okay"Jason said as he reached for her hand and smiled,Courtney smiled back.

"So,have you decided what movie you wanna see after school?"Jason asked

"Yeah,one of the two horror movies,you can chose one"Courtney told him.

"How about we chose when we get thier"Jason told her.

"Okay"Courtney responded

End Of The Day:Outside Port Charles High

"So how was your day?"Jason asked as he and Courtney headed towards his car.

"It was fine,but it's hard to avoid Carly considering she is in four of my classes"Courtney told him.

"Maybe you should work things out then"Jason suggested

"Jason,I can't tell you exactly what she did,but she lied and kept secrets and amongst best friends thats just not allowed" Courtney told him.

"Okay,Court.I'm sorry I didn't mean to push"Jason said

"It's fine lets just go see a movie"Courtney told him.

Jason smiled and opened the door for her when they got to his car.He got in as well and took of towards the movies.

Movie Theatre

"What movie do you want to see?"Jason asked Courtney as they looked at the list of movies.

"How about the day after tomorrow,that looks good"Courtney commented

Jason smiled at her "Sounds good to me"

"Okay,then let's see that"Courtney said

Jason and Courtney got thier tickets and thier seats and sat down.They were in a small theatre and thier were only a few other people in the theatre with them.The movie started and Jason placed his hand on top of Courtney's,she smiled to herself and looked at him.He wasn't watching the movie he was staring at her and smiling,she returned his smile and moved closer to him,thier faces were inches apart and Jason placed his lips gently on Courtney's.What started as a gentle and sweet kiss,soon became passionate.Courtney pulled away breathless and smiled,Jason returned her smile.They turned thier faces back to the screen,but kept thier hands intwined together.

Corrinthos Estate

"Thank you for a wonderful time"Courtney told Jason as they pulled up to her house.

"I had fun"Jason told her

Courtney blushed "Yeah,me too"

Jason smiled and moved his face to hers placing a gentle kiss upon her lips,she gladly excepted the kiss,it was so sweet.They pulled back and she smiled "You make me feel so happy and alive"she told him

"I know what you mean"Jason said

Courtney smiled and got out of the car and walked towards the door and into her house,Sonny came out of the kitchen.

"Where have you been Courtney?"Sonny asked her.

"I was out okay"Courtney told him.

"Courtney, you spent the hole night out last night,with a boy.Your lucky I didn't call dad,because had he found out you spent the night with a boy nevermind a boy like Jason,he would have sent you god knows where"Sonny said

"A boy like Jason huh?What the hell is that supposed to mean?"Courtney yelled

"You know what it means Courtney"Sonny told her "Jason is no where's near good enough for you"

"You can't keep me from Jason"Courtney said angrily

"No,I can't but when dad finds out he will"Sonny told her

"Dad's never home anyways Sonny"Courtney said "It doesn't matter though,I will see who I want to see"

"No,you wont.Dad will never approve"Sonny said "God damn it Courtney,I'm just trying to protect you from breaking your heart"

"Sonny,stop worrying about me"Courtney yelled

"Stay away from Jason,Courtney"Sonny told her

"I will not stay away from Jason"Courtney yelled at her brother

"Courtney please get out before it's too late"Sonny said calming down.

"It already is too late Sonny,because If I were to end things with Jason it would break my heart"Courtney told him

"Maybe so,but 2 months down the road it's going to hurt more,when you have to end things"Sonny said "I know it will"

"I am not like you Sonny,I wont leave the person I love because dad doesn't except him or his family"Courtney said

"Courtney I love you more than anything and I thats why I am trying to save you from pain,but If you wont listen to me,what can I do?"Sonny said defeated "Just don't come to me when you get your heart broken,because I will only say I told you so"

Sonny stromed off angry and Courtney stared at his retreating form.She went upstairs and fell on her bed,the tears flowed freely from her eyes.Had what she just said to Sonny true,did she already love Jason?
