Chapter 16

[They entered the penthouse quietly, and climbed the stairs.]

Jason: You barley said a word on the way home?

Courtney: Jason, I don't know what to say? Things between you and Sonny

aren't good?

Jason: I know

Courtney: but--

Jason: Courtney listen to me I love you and I don't want us to end ever not for anyone not even Sonny

Courtney: We wont

[She stood before him; close enough for him to be overwhelmed by her

aura,

but just far enough away so that he couldn't touch her. Never losing

his

stare, she slowly reached up and unhooked the clip in her hair. The

soft

blond strands came cascading down as they fell onto her shoulders. They

locked eyes again, and both leaned in for a kiss. Their lips met and

the

passion ignited. The kisses became deep and fiery and all self-control

was

lost as the two fell back onto the bed, hungry for more. , Then the

kisses

became passionate, and hot, they couldn't get enough of each other,

Jason

worked his hands down the silk that was covering her flesh. He started

to

kiss her neck she rolled him over as she ran her hands underneath his

shirt

down his sculpted body. They continued to kiss and explore one

another's

bodies. Jason slipped his fingers underneath the strops of her dress

and

slips it down her skin, lifting her arms through the small space until

the

thin fabric hung freely at her sides. Jason slowly reached behind her

and

began to unzip the rest. Reaching the clasp, she relaxed her body and

let

the dress slide to the floor. Jason inhaled sharply as he looked at

standing before him in nothing but lingerie. . He felt her hands find

skin under his shirt, and he closed his eyes as he felt her soft touch

explore his body. He felt her tug as she attempted to lift the garment

over

his head, and she gave him a soft smile as she tossed it to the floor.

He

brought his hands to her shoulders and ran his fingers up the sides of

her

neck and back down again, watching the goose bumps rise from her skin

as he

continued to let his hands glide down her arms. Reaching the end, he

laced

his fingers with hers and gently let her to the bed again. He looked

down at

her with hazy eyes and brought his lips to hers. She raised her hand

and

cupped it to his cheek, letting it remain there ever so softly as he

explored her mouth with his tongue. She let out a soft whimper as she

traveled his way to her cheek, then to her ear, and finally down her

neck,

leaving a trail of moisture wherever his lips had last been. He

suddenly

scooped her into his arms, and tenderly laid her on the bed. She

watched as

he removed the lower half of his clothing and pulled back the sheets,

anxious to join her. He slid in beside her and immediately locked his

lips

with hers. The kisses deepened as the moment intensified and she

unexpectedly felt his hands slide under her panties and move them

smoothly

down her legs. Her bra soon became a distant memory as he removed the

accessory from her body, exposing her firm breasts to his eager eyes.

She

ran her hands up over his damp chest and down his muscular arms,

Courtney: I've never have been more sure of anything

[Courtney knew there could be a good chance she could become pregnant

Jason

knew as well]

[The invitation was all he needed. He looked up at her once more before

joining with her completely and saw her softly nod. He entered her

slowly,

the raw nature of the other caused them to both tremble with

excitement.

They moved rhythmically together, complementing each other's desires,

until

the tension grew to the brink of climax. They tumbled over the edge as

one

and it was in that second that everything was forgotten. All the pain,

all

the sadness, all the frustration disappeared in that moment as they

possibility of a life growing inside of her, but tonight, she had

forgotten,

[Courtney shifted in bed as the last few minutes of her slumber drew to

a

close. She opened her eyes and turned her head to catch a glimpse of

Jason

as he slept. She loved how peaceful he looked, every worry or fear he

had

throughout the day disappeared from his face when he shut his eyes. She

was

shocked to discover that instead of Jason's handsome face, a slip of

paper

had taken its place. She sat up in bed quickly and unfolded the note,

reading the words inside.]

Courtney,

Sorry to leave so early this morning, but there were a few things that

I had

to take care of. I'll be back later. I love you, Jason.

[Courtney got dressed and headed out of her and Jason's Penthouse and

headed

for Sonny's Penthouse]

[Knock on Door]

Sonny: Coming

Courtney: Hi

Sonny: Hi come in

Courtney: Thanks

Sonny: What are you doing here?

Courtney: I need to talk to you

Sonny: Talk

Courtney: I love Jason and he loves me but nothing means more to him

then to

have your blessing, I could care less but its important to Jason so its

important to me.

Sonny: Courtney I am not going to give my blessing to something that I

know

in the end could kill you I will not put my sister in danger

Courtney: Sonny you're the only one that believes that

Sonny: If you don't let go of Jason-

Sonny: Just do the right thing

Courtney: And that would be?

Sonny: Giving up Jason

[Jason walks in the door]

Sonny: I need to speak---- to you?

Jason: Courtney? What are you doing here?

Courtney: I came to talk to Sonny

Sonny: She asked me to give my blessing because it's important to you

but I

cant

Jason: Courtney is your sister and if she's not with me she still will

be

in danger

Sonny: Courtney can you excuse us

Courtney: Sure

Jason: Ill be back in a little while

[Courtney leaves]

Sonny: I didn't want to do this but you left me no choice. You have a

choice to make my sister or your job?

Jason: I love Courtney and I want to be with her and she wants to be

with

me

Sonny: She doesn't know what's she dealing with

Jason: Its not up to your or me to tell her how to live her life,

Sonny. You

taught me that. When I wanted to break ties with the Quartermine's and

they

didn't want to let me go, you said it was my choice to decide that

nobody

had the right to decide my life, even if their intentions were good.

And

that's exactly what I would be taking away from Courtney-her right to

decide

what I would be taking away from Courtney-her right to decide h own

life.

Sonny: Then I guess you have to make a choice.

Sonny: You're my closest friend, my right arm, my brother. I trust you

more

than anyone. You've never disappointed me until now

Jason. This isn't about you Sonny

Sonny: I asked you to protect my sister by staying away from her

Jason: Its not going to work

Sonny: Its difficult, its cruel, but its necessary. If I can't depend

on you

to do what's necessary, then I'm-I'm going to have to redefine the

terms

Jason: What does that mean?

Sonny: I'm going to ask you again to stay away from Courtney. If I give

you

my reasons, will you let this go? Will you concentrate on what's going

on

now? Its dangerous right now there's a threat someone new is in town we

don't know who it is. Can you get Courtney out of your head?

Jason: I love Courtney, Sonny. I cant just turn that off and I'm sorry

that's she's your sister, but I cant change that. I cant choose who I

call

in love with

Sonny: Then you're spitting in my face

Jason: I will always honor my commitment to you, Sonny

Sonny: It's not an honor to drag my sister into a world that's illegal

and

dangerous

Jason: What have you done?

Sonny: Oh You saw what happened to lily. You say with me. You saved my

life.

Jason: Look lets just get through this

[Jason goes to leave but stops and Sonny slams the door in his face]

[Jason goes home to Courtney]

[Jason walks in the door and sees Courtney sleeping on the couch, Jason

puts

his Jacket down and sits next to her, he give her a kiss on the head

and

stares at her]

Jason: I Love you

[Jason gets up]

[Courtney begins to stir]

Courtney: Jason is that you

Jason: Yea

Courtney: When did you get back from Sonny's?

Jason: Not to long ago

Courtney: What happened with Sonny?

Jason: We talked

Courtney: That's good right? I mean-

Jason: Actually, I don't have a job. Sonny fired me when I told him I

wasn't

breaking up with you

Courtney: Sonny fried you for loving me

Jason: He gave me a choice

[Her body moved to the beat, feeling his eyes on her, almost feeling

the way
