Sonny's hospital room

Sonny: I'm not going to say another word unless my attorney's present.

Ric: You know, you don't want to accept my help, you don't want to let the system do its job, Jason’s the only one you trust, but now even his loyalty is in question. You know what, Sonny, your God complex is going to crush you one day, and I can't wait to be right there.

[Courtney comes in]

Courtney: My brother needs his rest, Ric.

Ric: Our brother is a selfish man, Courtney. My advice to you is to get out of his way long enough to stay alive.

Sonny: It's always the same with that guy.

Courtney: Yeah, forget about Ric. How you feeling?

[Sonny groans]

Sonny: Like I’ve been shot.

Courtney: Huh. So you pick now to get a sense of humor.

Sonny: You're not here for me, Courtney. You want to ask about Jason.

Outside Sonny's room

Jason: Get out of here, Faith.

Faith: You know, next time you want to play rough, call Lorenzo. I hear he likes it.

Jason: Get out of here!

Carly: She tried to kill Sonny.

Jason: I don't think so. Not this time, Carly.

Carly: I want to go check on him.

[Courtney comes out]

Jason: How's he doing? 

Courtney: Pretty good, considering. I'm glad you're ok, too.

Jason: This isn't the usual situation. It could be dangerous, and I'm hoping it's going to be over fast, but until it is, you just need to stay away from the hospital. You need to stay safe.

Courtney: Ok. You, too.

Kelly's

Courtney: Jason, hey. I thought you'd be at the hospital.

Jason: Courtney, you need to leave right now.

Courtney: Why? What's going to happen? This is about that guy who shot sonny and tried to kill you, isn't it? So do you know what he wants? I mean, what, is it about business?

Jason: This is about as personal as it gets.

Jason: You don't have to worry. It's just one guy with a grudge.

Courtney: Yeah, against you and sonny.

Jason: Looks that way, yeah.  [dials his phone] Come on, come on, come on, come on. Sam? Sam, if you're there, pick up the phone. Sam?

Courtney: What now?

Jason: I can't explain. Just try to keep safe, ok?

[He leaves and Court's phone rings.  Jax comes up and takes the phone away from her.]

jax: Uh-uh, uh-uh.

Courtney: Jax --

jax: Call this an intervention. I'm going to stop you from backsliding.

Courtney: Jason is important to me, jax, and I won't apologize for worrying about him.

Jax: Jason is more than capable of taking care of himself. I think you know that by now. You should worry about your own plans -- like having dinner with me tonight in the park.

Courtney: Sorry, i'm busy.

Jax: Let me guess -- you're going to take up your hand-wringing station next to carly and wait for word that jason is once again safe? The relief will, no doubt, have you running back into his arms for yet another go-around at something you know can't possibly work. But I wouldn't dream of interrupting your pattern since it's worked so well for you in the past. But just in case you do decide to come to your senses and change your pattern, the dinner invitation stands. Number one in your speed-dial. Just know that i won't wait forever.

The hospital

Courtney: Excuse me, could you page carly corinthos, please?

Nurse: Oh, I'll be with you in just a moment.

Dr. Meadows: What is it?

Nurse: A patient of yours is coming in. She's 4 1/2 months pregnant and she was in some sort of fight.

[Jason and Sam come out of the elevator]

Dr. Meadows: What happened?

Sam: This guy, he grabbed me.

Jason: He hit her pretty hard.

Dr. Meadows: Ok, follow me. Are you experiencing any bleeding, any cramping?

Sam: No.

Nurse: Who did you want me to page again for you?

Courtney: Um -- you know, never mind. I changed my mind.

Nurse: Oh.
