Courtney: Yeah, I need a launch right away. I'm at the docks right now. Thanks.

Man: They got a good lunch special over at kelly'S. Want to come with?

Jason: No, I'm going to grab something at home. Thanks.

Man: Lunch with the little woman? I remember those days -- no, I don'T.

Jason: It's courtney, right?

Courtney: Yeah, hi, jason. Wow. You got a regular job.

Jason: On the docks running the sea-land crane.

Courtney: How do you like it?

Jason: It's ok so far.

Courtney: Well, you look happy. Anyway -- I'm glad that you're feeling better.

[Jason has a flashback of Courtney crying during Dinner Date 2]

Courtney: What is it?

Jason: Did I make you cry?

Jason: It was just a flash, an image of you crying.

Courtney: Yeah. That was a long time ago.

Jason: Look, I'm sorry. These little flashes of memory are really all I have to go on. I'm just trying to, you know, connect them to my life somehow, so --

Courtney: Ok. Well, I mean, what do you need to know?

Jason: We were married, right?

Courtney: Yeah. Mm-hmm.

Jason: Why did we get divorced?

Courtney: Well, I guess -- I guess in the end we just weren't compatible. I mean, I couldn't handle your work and, I don't know, every time we disagreed, you just seemed to shut down a little more. But you weren't mean ever. Really, you weren'T. You just -- I don't know, you just kept pulling further and further away until there was really nothing left to keep us together. Anyway, I think that we might have stayed together if -- if our baby had lived.

Jason: We had a -- we had a baby?

Courtney: Yeah, I miscarried in the first trimester. And because of the circumstances, I can't have children anymore.

Jason: Was it anything I did?

Courtney: No, no. God, no, not at all. No. You didn't even know that I was pregnant until after I miscarried, and you really did. You tried to be supportive, but you weren't emotionally invested, so you didn't really feel the same sense of loss. Anyway, it was just a big mess.

[Motorboat approaches]

Courtney: I don't know, we probably would've broken up anyway.

Jason: Why?

Courtney: You know, things change. People change.

Jason: I made you cry again.

Courtney: No, I'm fine. There's the launch.  [she leaves]
