French Chateau
Courtney is on the terrace and Jason comes up behind her,
making her jump and wrapping his arms around her.
Courtney: Hey. Oh, god, it's amazing. Hmm. Just like the old days when --
thank you for giving me the perfect wedding.
Jason: Mm-hmm. Thank you. It's perfect for me, too.
Courtney: So --
Jason: So --
Courtney: You got the wedding you wanted here in France, away from all of
our obligations and Port Charles.
Jason: All I needed was you.
Courtney: So what comes next?
Jason: Well, you know, we can stay here for a few days, go home.
Courtney: No, I -- I mean in our lives.
Jason: I don't know. What do you want?
Courtney: How do you feel about starting a family?
Jason: Are you -- you know, are you sure you're ready?
Courtney: Well, Dr. Meadows said that we'll probably be able to have a
baby of our own, and you just have to be willing to follow the regimen. And it
could take a long time, years, even. And she said it could be an emotional
roller coaster, so we would really have to be committed to the idea.
Jason: Are you?
Courtney: You know, after I lost our baby, I felt so empty inside. But
that's no reason for me to get pregnant again. And, you know, I used to talk
about going back to school, starting a career, traveling.
Jason: You can do anything you want.
Courtney: I mean, this is our time, Jason, just the two of us. We're free
to do whatever we want. And we can decide about children in a few years
together.
Jason: Yeah, and when we get there, if -- you know, if you need
treatments, or surgery, whatever it is, I'll -- I'll be with you.
Courtney: I know.
(They kiss and then the phone rings.)
Courtney: Hello.
Sonny: Hey.
Courtney: Sonny? Where are you?
Sonny: Carly and I are in flight somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean.
There's -- there's trou-- trouble with the plane.
Courtney: Well, what do you mean, trouble? What kind of trouble?
Sonny: It's bad, so -- we don't have much time, so can I -- I need to tell
you a few things. I know you put up with a lot from me. I tried to run your
life.
Courtney: (crying) But that was because you love me, Sonny. I always knew
that.
Sonny: You're strong. And I'm proud, I'm proud to have you as my sister.
Courtney: No, Sonny, no, this isn't goodbye, OK? They're going to find a
way to land the plane.
Sonny: You were a beautiful bride, and Jason is -- is going to need you,
so I'm going to need you to do me a favor, OK? Can you tell Mike that I love
him, and take care of both of them.
Courtney: No, Sonny, no, this isn't goodbye, OK? They're going to find a
--
Sonny: Uh -- take it.
Carly: OK. Courtney --
Courtney: There still has to be another chance, isn't there?
Carly: I don't know.
Courtney: Oh, my god, Carly.
Carly: Oh, Courtney, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your
wedding. I am so happy that Jason is going to be spending the rest of his life
with you. The love that you have together is a rare gift, and you need to
cherish it, Courtney.
Courtney: No, I will, I promise. OK, Carly, I'm going to let you talk to
Jason now. I love you.
Carly: OK. Oh, I love you, too.
Jason: Carly --
Carly: Jason, I know that you love Michael, and you took care of him when
I couldn’t. You did everything that a parent would do, and I need you to do that
again. I know -- I know that you and Courtney just got married, and it's asking
a lot, but I just --
Jason: You know -- you know Courtney and I will take care of Michael.
Carly: Make sure he's OK. Help him through it. Keep him safe. Include my
mom in his life. And I swear, if AJ tries to take him, make sure --
Jason: I'm not going to let that happen.
Carly: I love you, Jason. You are the best friend that I could ever have,
and I thank you for everything.
Jason: Carly -- I -- I love you.
Sonny: Hey. All right, listen. I'm going to have you in charge of
everything -- my business, my father, my sister, and my son.
Jason: You know I'd give up my life for them.
Sonny: I know you would.
(There is static on the phone and the connection is lost.)
Courtney: No. No, this just can't be happening. We can't just say goodbye
to them.
Jason: It doesn't make any sense. There's got to be a way to stop this.
At a French
Chateau
Jason: OK. I talked to air traffic control and told them what was going on
with Sonny and Carly’s plane. They alerted every airstrip that may be in range.
Courtney: So is there any news yet?
Jason: No. I mean, you know, the plane should have landed by now.
(The phone rings)
Jason: Hello.
Sonny: We made it.
Jason: Well -- well, you're on the ground?
Sonny: The pilot landed, and we evacuated the plane. We're on our way home
now.
Jason: What about Carly and the baby? Are they OK?
Sonny: They're fine. I'll call you later.
Courtney: What? Sonny says everybody's OK?
Jason: Yeah, everybody's -- everybody's OK.
Courtney: Oh, god. Oh -- oh, thank god.
Jason: Oh --
Courtney: Oh, my god, I'm so relieved.
(Courtney hugs
him)
