Jason: So you saw alcazar holding someone prisoner in south america. How can you be sure it was ric?

Brenda: Because I saw his face. It looked just ric.

Jason: And you're just starting suddenly to remember this?

Jax: She knows what she saw.

Jason: What made you remember it was ric, exactly?

Brenda: I don't know, I'm having memories, just, you know, little flashes of them, ever since I've been off the drugs, and then you came in and i made the connection. You know, maybe it's because the first time i ever saw ric was with you in court. And I knew that I'd seen him before. See, and we were thinking, right, that this might be someone from luis' past. So i was trying to remember, did I ever meet any of his business associates? No. But I remember some people coming to the house in south america --

jason: And ric was one of these guys?

Brenda: Yeah. They were in the room. They were arguing. I walked over. I heard luis yelling at him, saying he had stolen from him. I peeked in and I saw ric's face.

Jason: When was this?

Brenda: Had to be over a year ago.

Jax: Now, what about -- what about the guy you saw in the hallway the night alcazar was murdered?

Jason: What guy?

Brenda: The guy that i saw right before you grabbed me.

Jax: Yeah, he had a gun. I mean, could that have been ric?

Brenda: It could've been ric.

Jason: No, you said you never saw his face.

Jax: She saw enough.

Brenda: Wait, are you talking about the guy in the hallway?

Jason: Yes, the guy in the hallway.

Brenda: Well, yeah, I didn't see his face, but he had the same hair color, he was the same height. I'm almost positive that it was ric.

Jason: Almost isn't good enough, brenda.

Jax: Why are you badgering her?

Jason: Quit leading her to think something, jax.

Brenda: I'm having a gut feeling about this. I think it was him.

Jason: No, no, jax just put that idea in your head.

Jax: Why are you resisting this so much?

Jason: Because she needs to be sure about this.

Brenda: But the pieces fit, don't they?

Jax: I think brenda's right. Ric imprisoned alcazar, then he came back to town for revenge. He killed alcazar and now he's framing brenda.

Brenda: Yes!

Jason: Now, where you going?

Jax: I'm going to find ric.

Jason: And do what?

Jax: Stop him from getting away with murder.

Jason: Well, you got no proof. All you have is brenda's word.

Jax: Good enough for me.

Jason: Yeah, I know, of course it is, but she's the prime suspect. It's never going to fly.

Jax: All right, fine, if you've got a better idea, I'm listening.

Jason: Hey, if ric is the killer, ok, you're going to need proof because if you don't have it, you're just going to give him time to cover his tracks.

Jax: So in other words, you want to wait. What, for sonny's input? You know, sonny keeps stringing brenda along, telling her that he's going to get her out of this. So what's the plan? I mean, how many more witnesses are you going to threaten? How many people are going to end up at the bottom of the harbor to rig this trial? I'm sorry, but i've moved on to plan b.

Jason: I'm just saying it's not smart till you have proof.

Jax: I'm not going to put brenda's life in the hands of some thug and hope for the best.

Jason: Ok.

Jax: Ok.

[Jax leaves] jason: You need to stop that idiot before he gets you put in prison.

Jason: You got to stop running your mouth to jax.

Brenda: Oh, ok, I'll just stop talking to jax.

Jason: No, see, why do you have to have this attitude? Ok, you and I are in this together. Jax may think he's helping us, but he's making the situation worse for both of us.

Brenda: I can't control jax.

Jason: Going after witnesses? Smart.

Brenda: I'm not his keeper. What do you want me to do? He's not stupid, you know.

Jason: Just stop him from screwing up this case.

Brenda: Listen, he is on our side. What are you so worried about?

Jason: He's about to hand you a murder conviction, brenda.

Brenda: He wants us both to go free.

Jason: Ok.

Brenda: He does.

Jason: Yeah, sure he does. That's why he went to baldwin and tried to sell me out.

Brenda: No, you're going to bring up the thing with alexis.

Jason: No, I'm just telling you --

brenda: He made a mistake! He freaked out.

Jason: Ok, that's exactly my point. Jax might be smart when it comes to business, but when it comes to you, it's like he's --

brenda: He's in love, yes, he's in love. I'm sorry. You know, I don't know if you know this or not, but people don't always act rationally when they're in love.

Jason: Yeah, but this is a murder case.

Brenda: Well, I trust him.

Jason: I don'T.

Brenda: I don't care if you don't trust him. I'm not going to cut him out of my life because you don't trust him.

Jason: You're going to lose him anyway when he gets us sent to prison.

Brenda: Listen, he loves me, all right? Yeah, he did the stupid thing. It's over. He's not going to do anything else that's going to bug you, all right, i promise. Just let him go and do this. I mean -- you know what? Forget it. You could never understand this because you don't love anybody. I mean, maybe you could try and think back far enough to when you actually loved someone and you would do anything for them, you know, you'd break any rule for them.

Jason: You don't know anything about me, brenda.

Jason: You know, just because i don't run around like you and jax, screaming about your great love for everyone to hear, doesn't mean i can't feel, ok? I have people that i care about, and sometimes you might make a wrong decision because you don't want to hurt that person because doing what they need is more important than doing what's right or what's easy.

Brenda: What are you talking about?

Jason: What do you mean?

Brenda: I mean, are you talking about robin or -- or are you talking about someone else?

Jason: No, I was just making a point.

Brenda: It's fine. Just i've never heard you talk that long before. You're not talking about robin, are you?

Jason: No, will you just drop it, ok?

Brenda: Well, you know, I am your wife. I mean, I do have the right to know, you know, if there's another woman.

Jason: Well, I don't even know what you're talking about right now.

Brenda: Just give me a clue. Just give me a clue about who you're talking about. Is she blonde? Are you talking about a blonde girl? What, is she brunette? Is she short? Is it elizabeth?

Jason: Why don't you go find jax.

Brenda: Do i know her? All right. I have to know her. Everyone knows everyone in this town. She'd have to be passive, domestic, definitely a girly-girl. Well, just tell me! Why do you have to keep it a secret?

Jason: Will you just shut up?

Brenda: What's the big secret? What, is she married?

[Sonny comes in]

Sonny: Hey. What's going on?

Sonny: You driving jason crazy? Ok, now, i got information about the murder that can prove your innocence.

Brenda: Really?

Sonny: Ric and alcazar were business associates in south america. Alcazar put ric in prison.

Brenda: I just remembered this. Ric and luis were both at the house. Luis was really mad. He was yelling at him.

Sonny: Ok, when ric got out of prison, he came to port charles to kill alcazar.

Brenda: See? That is the guy who I saw in the hall.

Sonny: Ok, we need more evidence before --

jason: Well, it's too late for that because brenda just told jax everything and he took off after ric.

Sonny: Ok.

Brenda: So what? He's just trying to help us.

Sonny: What's he going to do, drag ric into the pcpd?

Jason: Yeah, who knows what he's going to do.

Brenda: Well, exactly. None of us know what he's going to do, so I'll call him and I'll find out.

Sonny: He's going to ruin everything.

Brenda: He's just trying to do --

sonny: That stupid boyfriend of yours is going to put you behind bars for the rest of your life, brenda.

Jason: Brenda never saw the guy's face.

Sonny: So how can we prove it's ric?

Jason: We can't. Jax decided it was ric because brenda said the guy's coloring was the same.

Sonny: That's not proof.

Brenda: Well, there has to be a way. We know it's him.

Sonny: There's no evidence. Going after ric is a mistake.

Brenda: All right, well, I don't even know for sure if that's what jax went to do, so maybe i should call him and check.

Sonny: Brenda, all the evidence is pointing at you.

Brenda: So what? Ric has motive and opportunity, too.

Sonny: He also saw you running from alcazar's room, jason taking you away. Ric's testimony puts a lock on the murder conspiracy. If, you know, jax takes him to see baldwin, ric's going to do whatever he can to clear his name, ok, and that means telling what he saw. We have to leave him alone until we have proof he's the killer.

Brenda: Right. All right. Let me go call him.

Carly: Jax just took ric away at gunpoint.
