Courtney: Why isn't A.J. Here yet? I know he's furious with me. I can't even blame him. Why didn't i just tell him that i had the gun? I mean, my husband's brother gives me a gun. I should at least mention it.

Jason: Don't -- like i said, don't worry about the gun. It's registered, ok? It was self-defense, courtney.

Courtney: But hiding it in pots and pans? How stupid is that?

Jason: That's not stupid. You didn't want anybody to find it.

Courtney: God, i was -- I was afraid that he'd take it away from me, and i didn't want him to. It made me feel safe. It's obvious he's furious with me.

Jason: No, A.J. Is angry with me, not you.

Courtney: What are you saying? He's not here because you are?

Andy: You'll need to sign all the copies of your statement.

Jason: Well, make sure you read through that before you sign it. Andy: The voice of experience.

Jason: I'll take you home when you're finished.

Courtney: Yeah. A.J. Will love that. Thanks, but I'm going to go to the hospital.

Andy: That's not such a good idea, ms. Quartermaine.

Courtney: No, I want to find out what coleman has to say.

Courtney: That's the last statement.

Andy: You're free to go.

Jason: I'll take you to the hospital.

Courtney: Look, jason, I know i always call you when i'm in trouble and you're always there to help me, but I can't keep leaning on you. I have to start leaning on my husband.

Jason: Then you're going to take the bus to the hospital? They don't run too often this late at night. Seriously, do you need a ride?

Courtney: Thanks. I'd like that.

The Hospital

Courtney: A.J. I was so worried about you. I thought you were going to come straight to the police department.

A.J.: I was, i was. I wanted to deal with coleman.

Courtney: I am so glad to see you.

A.J.: Me, too. You know what? You must be exhausted. Let's get you home, all right?

Courtney: I'm not leaving until coleman wakes up and tells me what's going on.

A.J.: I'm just glad you're not hurt. Come on. It's over. Let's go.

Courtney: No. Not until coleman wakes up.

A.J.: He may not wake up for hours.

Courtney: I need to ask him, "why me?"

Jason: You know coleman's not in this alone.

Taggert: Thanks for the tip. I never would have figured that out.

Officer: Lieutenant? We traced the call to an apartment above jake'S. This was attached to a timer.  [Plays tape]

Man's voice: I'm watching you, daisy.

Courtney: That's him. That's the guy who called me.

Man's voice: I'm watching you, daisy.

A.J.: Will you shut that thing off?

Taggert: It's a tape on a timer.

Courtney: That's the second caller, a tape?

A.J.: I don't believe this guy.

Courtney: Wake up! Look at me! It was you all along, wasn't it? The calls, the cameras, the daisies on the bed -- how could you do this to me? Why?

Coleman: It's not me. It's a.J. A.J.

Courtney: How could you blame my husband for this? Why would A.J. Want to stalk me?

Coleman: It's true.

Courtney: You blackmailed me into stripping, you followed me around, you broke into my house, kept me terrified for weeks, and now you're blaming my husband? Do you really expect anyone to believe any of this?

Taggert: So, are you saying that a.J. Quartermaine was involved with stalking his own wife?

Coleman: Yes.

Taggert: In what manner?

Coleman: Money.

Taggert: A.J. Paid you?

A.J.: Stop putting words in his mouth.

Coleman: Yes.

Taggert: Did a.J. Quartermaine pay you to stalk his own wife?

Coleman: Yes.

Taggert: How much?

Coleman: Quar-- quarter million.

Courtney: That's ridiculous!

Taggert: Please. Did A.J. Pay you $250,000 to stalk his wife?

Coleman: Yes.

A.J.: You don't believe this guy. Come on.

Coleman: A.J. Recorded the voice. He set up the cameras, the schedule.

A.J.: Oh, so i -- I was -- I had my wife harassed according to a schedule?

Coleman: Tonight was the big finish. She'd be alone. I'd break in, scare her. I just didn't count on the gun.

A.J.: You don't believe this guy, do you? I mean, come on.

Taggert: A.J. -- Can you give me a reason why a.J. Would do this?

Coleman: To rescue courtney. To be a hero to his wife.

A.J.: The guy's lying, ok? He harassed my wife for months. He's probably got a rap sheet a mile long, man.

Courtney: Just because he's been arrested doesn't mean that he's lying.

A.J.: Do you believe him?

Taggert: I can't rule out coleman's statement.

A.J.: I don't need this. I really don't.

Courtney: A.J., Wait.

A.J.: Why? Why, so you guys can all serve as judge and jury? Why waste my breath? Really? Never mind where i came up with 250 grand. I was disinherited, remember? And it was worth it to marry you, and i would do it all over again. But I drive a forklift, ok? Take me the next 20 years to come up with $250,000. Not to mention that I would never do anything to deliberately hurt you ever. It doesn't matter, though. You don't believe me, so go on, take me in. Go on. I'm ready.

Taggert: You're not under arrest. But I will be in touch.

A.J.: Bet you're loving this, right, jase? Hmm? Just the idea of me being a criminal.

Jason: Well, you did burn down my warehouse and the oasis, A.J.

A.J.: Do you think i'm a criminal, too?

Courtney: We've all done things that we'd like to change.

A.J.: Do you honestly think that i would do anything to deliberately hurt you?

Courtney: No.  [They hug]

Outside Coleman's hospital room

A.J.: Thank you. I don't know what I would do if you didn't believe me on this one.

Courtney: I love you, A.J. But it's more than that. I trust you.

A.J.: I can't tell you how much that means to me.

Courtney: You walked out on your family for me. You're driving a forklift when you could be running some big corporation, all for me.

A.J.: I don't regret any of the choices i've made.

Courtney: Neither do i. We have real love and a real marriage, and that is so rare.

Inside his room to Jason...

Coleman: I'm telling the truth. Believe quartermaine if you want to. You don't, do you? You know the guy, how insecure he is with his wife. So weak.
[Jason watches AJ and Courtney hug through the window]
