The Hospital
Jason: What's -- what's going on?

Courtney: Well, you guys -- you looked pretty close in there.

Jason: Come on, you know --

courtney: Yeah. Yeah, I know. I know it didn't mean anything. And I know it's not good for me to be here, but, jason, I had to see you.

Jason: And I'm glad you came.

Courtney: So how is brenda?

Jason: She's fine. She's fighting with me already.

Courtney: God, jason, you are the one who believed that she didn't skip bail. Doesn't that matter to her?

Officer: Jason morgan, we need you in court.

Courtney: Now?

Officer: Yeah. The bailiff said we need to get you over there.

Jason: All right.

Officer: Let's go.

Jason: I got to take -- i got to say good-bye --

officer: There's no time for that.

Second officer: Let's go.

Courtney: Well, wait, you can't start the trial without brenda.

Jason: Ok, look. Just go in and tell brenda what's going on and tell her I said good-bye.

Courtney: Yeah, sure.

Brenda’s Hospital Room
Courtney: Hi.

Brenda: What's your name?

Courtney: Um -- I'm courtney.

Brenda: Courtney, right. Ahem. Hi.

Courtney: You know, I just -- I came to check on you and jason, but the police just took jason back to the courtroom.

Brenda: I can't believe they're starting the trial without me. This is scott's way of trying to put more pressure on us.

Courtney: Yeah, well, I mean, after what you've been through, that's the last thing you need.

Brenda: That was sweet.

Courtney: You should've seen the way that jason stood up for you in that courtroom, right there in front of everybody.

Brenda: Well, jason's very loyal.

Courtney: Yeah. He says you are, too, but you get on his nerves. I'm sorry. That was stupid. I shouldn't have said that.

Brenda: So you're friends with jason?

Courtney: Yeah.

Brenda: Right.

Courtney: Anyway, I guess I'm going to go back to the courtroom. Take care.

The Courthouse
Courtney: Has the trial started yet?

Sonny: Why did you come back?

Courtney: I know how much this trial affects you. And since carly had to leave, you know, to take care of michael, then i thought that i'd --

sonny: Did carly ask you to be here?

Courtney: Well, she -- she said she had to go home because michael wasn't feeling well. And no, she didn't say in those words that she wanted me to come to the trial and hold your hand. But I'm trying to be a better sister, all right? I mean, you need to have family around you, sonny.

Sonny: I don't want you involved in this.

Courtney: I get to care about you.

Sonny: Well, I made choices that can't be undone.

Courtney: Yeah, well, so have I.

Sonny: And the choices that i've made -- i've hurt people.

Courtney: I'm not leaving.

Sonny: Ok, come on, let's go.
