Brenda: I wish i was in lisbon right now.

Jason: You'll be there soon enough.

Brenda: Right. You're going to break us out of here tonight --

jason: No, the security is too good. No, we'd never even make it to the street. Our best chance is on the way to pentonville.

Brenda: Are you serious? You really want to try and escape?

Jason: I'm not going to be locked up, brenda.

Brenda: What if we're shot?

Jason: It hurts.

Brenda: Oh, are you insane? What if we die?

Jason: We won't die in prison.

Courtney: I shot coleman, and he wasn't even the real stalker. Why shouldn't I shoot you?

A.J.: You're not a killer. That's your brother, not you.

Courtney: Would you just tell the truth for once, A.J. Admit that you framed jason and that you paid that witness ida to lie. Just say the words, A.J., Or i swear i'll pull the trigger! I swear, i'll do it.

Courtney: Guns are heavier than you think. I remember the first time jason put a gun in my hand to protect me from your stalker. I remember thinking that it was so cold and awkward and how could I ever use it? So i hid it in the kitchen behind some pots and pans. And then i'd find it once in a while, and it would scare me to death. But then, you know, I'd think at the same time that jason left if for me. He was still protecting me. I owe him, a.J. And one way or another, I am going to pay off my debt.

A.J.: Courtney, shooting me won't solve anything.

Courtney: Oh, they'll have to investigate, won't they? They'll have to figure out my motive. And that should be enough to check out your bank accounts, to figure out when and where you met coleman and how you found ida.

A.J.: It wasn't me.

Courtney: No, liar!

A.J.: It -- it was coleman, all right? He found ida. He put the whole thing together --

courtney: Yeah, yeah, coleman found ida because you paid him, just like you paid him to stalk me. You needed a witness to prove that brenda was the killer instead of skye. But that wasn't enough, was it, A.J.? You had to get ida to -- to make jason look guilty, too. Why, why? So you could get revenge? For what, because he's better than you?

A.J.: Shut up.

Courtney: Just admit what you did!

A.J.: Fine. Ok, I was in on it with -- with coleman and skye, ok? Coleman found ida. Skye and i paid her off, told her what to say.

Courtney: Ida never saw anything, did she? God, do you know how sick you are, a.J.?

A.J.: I'm sick? I'm sick? You're the one with the gun! What's happened to you? Why --

courtney: You happened, A.J. You!

A.J.: Put the gun down, courtney.

Courtney: No, we're not finished yet.

A.J.: Look, I've -- I've told you everything --

courtney: No, no, you haven't admitted that jason's innocent.

A.J.: Jason's the one that did this to you. Look -- he's the one who gave you this gun in the first place.

Courtney: Jason didn't kill alcazar. You set your own brother up to send him to prison. Didn't you, A.J.? Didn't you?

A.J.: Fine. Look, yeah, I paid a witness, falsified evidence. They're innocent, ok? They're innocent. Is that what you need to hear?

Courtney: You know, I think that that's the first true thing that you've ever said to me, A.J.

Brenda: So, you've already made a decision about this? I mean, do -- do i get a vote about this?

Jason: Brenda, do you want to escape, or do you want to wait here in your cell until jax comes and hires whoever he's going to hire to work on your appeal?

Brenda: No, no, no, I -- of course I'm going to go with you. And, you know, do whatever you think. I'd just like to be asked. I wouldn't mind you asking me. And I also wouldn't mind some sort of reassurance, you know, that i'm not going to --

jason: Yeah, well, I'm not going to tell you --

brenda: Get shot or die.

Jason: Ok, I have to tell you the reality of the situation. Anything can happen. What -- what do you want to hear? We could get shot, yes. Probably not. We're probably going to make it out of there. We're going to leave the country. We're going to wait somewhere until the real killer's found.

Brenda: All right, ok.

Jason: Ok? Brenda, I know how to do this.

Brenda: All right. Tell me what to do.

Jason: Ok. You're going to make a big distraction when i tell you to.

Brenda: Uh-huh.

Jason: Ok? We're not going to be alone. Sonny's going to do whatever it takes to set us free.

[Knock on door]

scott: Go away!

Ofc. Hernandez: I'm sorry. She said it was urgent --

courtney: I need to see you, mr. Baldwin. I have new evidence about the alcazar case.

Scott: Of course you do. Why wouldn't you? You're corinthos' sister. Who's next, his kid?

Ric: Well, you know what, courtney? There's a lot of new evidence that's been uncovered recently. Why don't you tell us what you found?

Scott: Hey, this is not a clubhouse for amateur detectives, all right? So you and you, get out. And I would go, too.

Courtney: No, not until you hear me out.

Ric: You know what? Why don't you come with us, courtney? I'm sure lt. Taggert here would love to hear anything that you have to say.

Scott: I'm the district attorney. If there's any evidence, I'll hear it. So, you two get out. You, stay.

Scott: You know what, taggert? You get out, too.

Taggert: Oh, no, I'm going to stay, just in case there's some evidence you want me to follow up on.

Courtney: There will be.

Scott: Well, you know what? We'll be the judge of that.

Courtney: Ok. Well, A.J. And skye framed jason and brenda. They got this guy, coleman, to find ida warren, and they paid her to lie, and I have proof.

Courtney's voice: Admit what you did!

A.J.'S voice: Fine. Ok, I was in on it with -- with coleman and skye, ok? Coleman found ida. Skye and i paid her off, told her what to say.

Jason: And the worst part will be when the judge gives his sentence. Don't panic, don't struggle, don't let them see that you're planning to fight.

Brenda: Yeah, but we can't get the death penalty for this, can we?

Jason: It's possible they'd give it to me, not to you. Look, don't -- it doesn't matter, ok? We're going to be gone. Now, once you get in the van, I need you to watch me and focus on me because your adrenaline's going to be high, you're going to be nervous. You need to watch me because when i say go, you do exactly what you just said -- you're going to kick, you're going to scream, you're going -- you're going to freak out. Act like you're going to die if you don't get those cuffs off, ok? But once you start, do not stop. And in the commotion, if you're lucky enough to get your hands on a gun --

brenda: Yeah, but I -- wait, wait, wait, I don't --

jason: You're going to point it -- you're going to --

brenda: I -- i can't even shoot anyone.

Jason: That's good because if -- if we kill a guard, it's really not going to matter if we -- if we killed alcazar.

Brenda: Ok. I'd like this plan a lot better if, you know, maybe you could grab the gun -

brenda: And --

jason: That's -- I'm hoping that's how it's going to work. You just need to know what to do just in case.

Brenda: So you want me to just --

jason: Scream.

Brenda: Scream and fight?

Jason: Right.

Brenda: All right, i can do that.

Jason: I know you can. You can do it.

Brenda: Did - did you know that i used to really go out of my way to be nice to you all the time because i just hated that you didn't like me? You know, you used to treat me like i was your worst enemy, and I had never done anything to hurt you. And now -- I blackmail you into marrying me. It's basically my fault you've been convicted of murder. And now you just say these nice things to me. I just don't understand.

Jason: Brenda, most things you do don't make sense to me. But I do understand why you went after alcazar with that knife. He was going to hurt someone you love, and you fought. And when things went wrong, you owned up to it. You didn't run, you didn't -- you didn't testify against me, which would be the easy way out. You stood up. And I respect that.

Brenda: Am i supposed to feel better now that you respect me?

Jason: No.

Brenda: I do.

Mac: Brenda, we're ready to process you. Jason, a guard will be here in a few minutes to take you to your cell.

Brenda: All righty.

Jason: See you tomorrow.

Brenda: Bye-Bye

Jason: Is carly here?

Sonny: No, she's home sweeping up what's left of the penthouse. I lost my temper.

Jason: I don't blame you.

Sonny: Yeah, well, you never do. You can make all the excuses you want, but we both know why you're in here.

Jason: I knew the risks. I accepted the job. It went wrong. That's the business we're in.

Sonny: You'd have been clear of that building before alcazar went over the railing if you hadn't gone back in and got brenda --

jason: What was i going to do, sonny? Technically, she's my wife.

Sonny: Exactly. You married a woman you can't stand because I asked you to, you know, take care of her.

Jason: I was trying to help. We're friends. You taught me that.

Sonny: What i taught you got you convicted of murder.

Jason: If you're trying to take the blame for this, you're saying that my decisions don't count. You've never treated me like i was brain-damaged, sonny. Don't start now.

Sonny: You're not damaged. You're the best friend i ever had. But now you're convicted of murder. It's not your choice. Baldwin framed you.

Jason: Right. He did. That's why i need your help. Brenda and i want to run.

Sonny: I'm already working on it. My men are going to stop the van on the way to pentonville, and they're going to get you and brenda across the border into canada. I'll have a passport, money, and a jet waiting for you wherever you decide you want to go.

Jason: Thank you.

Sonny: Please don't thank me.

Jason: You know, carly once told me you don't have to thank the people who matter.

Sonny: Well, maybe she changed her mind because she wanted me to give you --

jason: What?

Sonny: This.

Jason: Come on.

Sonny: Yeah, yeah.

Jason: Did she -- did she tell you that we had this -- this bet that everything would turn out ok?

Sonny: Now, you let my men take the risk. Your job is to get you and brenda out of the country alive.

Jason: You have my word.

Sonny: This is not over. I will bring you back home. You have my word.

Scott: When we play that tape back to the part that you fast-forwarded through, what are we going to hear?

Courtney: That i was holding a.J. At gunpoint.

Taggert: Ok, that's enough. You don't want say anything --

courtney: No, you know what? Go ahead. Arrest me. Arrest me if you want. You're going to have to investigate why i did it, and that's going to prove that i'm telling the truth.

Scott: I'm going to do you a favor and forget you were ever here. Now, give me the tape and get out.

Courtney: Yeah. Yeah, sure, so you can destroy it? You know, I think I'll take my chance with the press.

Taggert: No, you don't want to do that. You play it for the reporters, it's going to come out you holding A.J. At gunpoint. Then we're going to have to arrest you. We don't want to do that.

Courtney: Yeah, well, I do if it's the only way to prove that jason and brenda are innocent.

Taggert: You don't have to ruin your life if you want to reopen this case. It's already happening, ok? Felicia jones came in here just now. She told us the same story about ida warren lying. Ric lansing came in, presented some new evidence that points towards another killer.

Courtney: Why should i believe you?

Taggert: Because it's my job to find luis alcazar's killer, and that's what I'm going to do.

Courtney: What if you get fired first?

Police Station
Guard: Take your time. There's a problem with his paperwork. Can't move him to his cell yet.

Jason: Why'd you come back?

Courtney: A.J. Admitted that he paid ida to frame you and brenda, and I got it on tape.

Jason: How?

Courtney: It doesn't matter --

jason: No, it --

courtney: Taggert believes me. They're going to reopen the investigation.

Jason: No, it does matter. You got to tell me how you did it. Tell me.

Courtney: You left your gun at the loft. Jason, a.J. Deserved it, ok? He's a liar. He paid --

jason: You promised me you would never try to save me.

Courtney: Yeah, but i couldn't do nothing.

Jason: You had to. You had to, courtney. That was the deal. The only way that we could be --

courtney: We -- we are together, jason, and that is why i had to go after a.J. And stop this.

Jason: You could've killed him. It could be you in here.

Courtney: Yeah, and what if it was? What would you do? Would you just stand around and let it happen if that's what i told you i wanted? I mean, no, you would -- you would fight for me, jason. I know you would. So i get to fight for you, too.

Jason: You sound like carly. Every time -- every time she would lie, every time she would blow my life apart or michael's or her own or sonny's -- you know, she does what she does because everything she does she thinks it's right. I can't -- i can't trust her. I love her. And I know no matter what, she's going to be on my side, but I don't -- I don't trust her to ask what i do. I don't trust her to keep my secrets, to understand that sometimes you just have to wait. I want to trust you. Courtney, I need to, or we've got nothing.

Courtney: What you're asking isn't fair.

Jason: You're right.

Jason: You're right, it's not.

Courtney: I can't leave you here, jason, and i can't wait for you to come back. And I am trying to save you because I love you.

Courtney: I didn't mean to tell you here. I mean, you probably think that i'm pressuring you.

Jason: No, I don'T.

Courtney: I told you that i've never been in love before and that what I felt for A.J. Was mostly something that i made up. But now I know how love feels. I pulled that gun on a.J. Because, jason, I couldn't imagine spending my life without you. And if that means that you can't trust me --

jason: We have to trust. We have to. Everything's not always what it seems. You aren't in my business, so you don't really know what's going on, like right now. I have a way out. And I'm going to take it. I just -- I just need your help. Will you just wait for me and stay quiet?

Courtney: I'll do whatever you need.

Jason: I am not going to be the reason that you hurt yourself. If you try to save me again, I'll walk away. I don't -- i don't ever want to walk away, courtney. Please promise me you won't do this again.

Courtney: I promise. You have to promise me something, too -- that you're going to find a way to come back to me so we can be together again.

Jason: I promise.

[And they kiss! Court’s hand around his neck and Jason holding her face despite the handcuffs]
