Courtney: [on the phone] Yeah, my records are over at
general hospital. I'll just -- i'll have them transferred over after my
appointment today. Ok, thanks.
Jason: Hey, what -- are you ok?
Courtney: Yeah, I'm just a little
tired.
Jason: Why don't you go across
the hall and get some rest?
Courtney: You know what? I'd --
i'd rather just get out, move around, get some fresh air. I mean, that always
gives me energy.
[Knock on door]
lorenzo: I have an appointment
with sonny.
Jason: He'll be down in a minute.
[Jason walks Court out]
Kelly's
[Mike whistles]
mike: Hey, courtney.
Courtney: Daddy, hey.
Mike: Hey, honey. [She hugs him]Hey
-- ooh. Listen, why don't you have a seat. I'll treat you to lunch. Come on.
The special today is a chili cheese omelet.
Courtney: Um -- maybe some herb
tea.
Mike: You feeling ok?
Courtney: Not so great. I just --
um -- just been fighting this bug, and i -- I just can't seem to shake it.
Mike: Yeah, well, maybe you
should see a doctor.
Courtney: No, I'll be all right,
really.
Mike: Yeah?
Courtney: But, dad, I think i'm
going to have to take a raincheck on the tea. I'm going to go home and take a
nap. [Courtney wavers a bit]
Mike: Oh -- hey, hey, hey. Honey,
you're dizzy. Look, why don't -- i'll give you a drive home. That's the least i
can do.
Courtney: No, no, I can make it,
really.
Mike: Your keys in here? [he
starts digging in her purse for them and finds pregnancy pamphlets]
Courtney: No, no, I'll get them.
I'll get them, really.
Mike: Sweetheart -- are you
pregnant?
Courtney: I just came from mercy
hospital. They confirmed it.
Courtney: Thanks. Ok, daddy, you
have to promise that you will not tell jason.
Mike: Why not?
Courtney: Because carly is gone.
Jason has way too much stuff to deal with. This is the last thing that he needs
to worry about.
Mike: Well, honey, i'm sure he
would want to know.
Courtney: And I'll tell him. I
will, as soon as carly gets home.
Mike: But you can't put your
lives on hold.
Courtney: Ok, jason needs to
focus all of his energy on finding carly. I am not going to distract him.
Mike: Honey, a baby is more than
a distraction.
Courtney: Ok, and I am capable of
taking care of myself and my child. But if jason or sonny find out that i'm
pregnant, they're going to send me away to the island to keep me safe and, no,
daddy, i don't want to be protected. I want to help find carly.
Mike: So you're going to tell
them when, next week? Next month? I mean, how do you think jason is going to
feel when he finds out that you've kept this a secret?
Courtney: I will make him
understand.
Mike: Sweetheart, this is the
biggest news of your lives. You need to tell jason -- today.
PH4
Courtney: Hey.
Jason: Hey.
Courtney: Welcome back.
Jason: How do you feel?
Courtney: Much better.
Jason: Good.
Courtney: Yeah. Michael's asleep.
It's leticia's night off, so we're babysitting. Unless you have to work.
Jason: No.
Courtney: Good. Everything's been
so crazy. I just -- I need some time alone with you.
courtney: Well, we just finished
the last of carly's frozen-pizza stash.
Jason: And that is going to make
sonny very happy.
Courtney: Don't you dare tell
him. Seriously, i am restocking that freezer the minute carly gets back. God, i
keep saying that, "when she gets back," like -- I don't know, like
our life is on hold until that happens. [He plays with her hair]
Jason: I know it's tough for you
because you don't want us to sit around and wait all the time.
Courtney: Look, I'm not
complaining. Ok? I want to do whatever I can to help, but -- I don't know, I
guess the waiting just makes me think about all of our plans -- the wedding,
traveling, us having a family.
Jason: It's all going to happen.
Courtney: Yeah, I know. I know,
but i guess it just goes to show that you sometimes have to be flexible. You
know, I mean, things happen that you don't always expect.
Jason: What things?
Courtney: I don't know. I mean,
like us, for example. I mean --
jason: Yeah?
Courtney: Yeah, everything we've
been through has pretty much been unexpected.
Jason: Well, I like the
unexpected.
Courtney: Good. Because, um --
something happened that -- that surprised me.
