Jason: So alcazar helps courtney beat this hit-and-run charge. He's going to think we owe him something.

Sonny: He hasn't made any demands yet.

Jason: He will.

Sonny: Maybe not. You know, he's trying to play hero for carly. He shouldn't be asking for things, you know what I'm – [Carly and Courtney come downstairs]  you ready? Ahem -- because we don't want to be late for your appointment with dr. Meadows.

Carly: Yeah, um --

sonny: Right?

Carly: Yeah.

Sonny: Ok.

Carly: If -- I know you got a lot going on. If you're too busy, it's ok.

Sonny: I want to be there.

[Phone rings]

sonny: Hold on.

Courtney: Are you ok?

Sonny: Hello? This is him. What do you mean? When did this happen? Oh. Ok, you know what, i'll be right there. I got -- i'm sorry.

Carly: What?

Sonny: I got to take care of this. You going to be all right by yourself?

Courtney: I can take her.

Sonny: All right. I'll be there soon, all right?

Carly: Ok, ok.

[Sonny and Jason leave]

carly: Well, that didn't sound very good.

Courtney: Carly, i'm worried about you. What's wrong?

Carly: I'm just tired.

Courtney: Come on. You obviously don't want sonny to go to the hospital with you. I mean, you looked relieved when he got that phone call.

Carly: The baby -- he stopped kicking. I think something's wrong.

The hospital

[Carly is having her ultrasound]

Courtney: Wow, look at the fingers. You can really see them.

Dr. Meadows: The new technology provides a lot of detail.

Courtney: It's so real. I mean, it's a little person already.

Carly: Dr. Meadows, is the baby ok?

Dr. Meadows: Oh, he's doing fine.

Carly: But he's usually so active and he's --

Dr. Meadows: Well, it's not unusual for him to settle down at this stage of his development.

Carly: So are you sure that he's ok and nothing's wrong?

Dr. Meadows: Well, it's getting a little crowded in there. But why don't you think about your baby as being quiet and cozy.

Carly: Ok. Now, that sounds good.

Dr. Meadows: He's doing fine. I'm just a phone call away if you need me.

[Courtney is watching the monitor getting teary eyed]

Carly: Thanks. Ok, I knew it. I knew i was just being ridiculous. It's just that the baby has been through so much, and i just thought -- sonny, he's just jumping out of his skin. He's so concerned that something bad is going to happen again, and -- all right, the baby's fine. That's all that matters. Courtney, you are really such a good friend, and i don't know -- courtney?

Carly: Oh, I am such an idiot.

Courtney: No, you're not.

Carly: I mean -- yeah, I was completely insensitive.

Courtney: Carly --

carly: You've just been through a major loss, and I was being oblivious and dealing with my own insecurities.

Courtney: No, you put your baby first. I wish i had done the same.

Carly: I'm sorry, but you need to listen to me. Science -- it happens. So do miracles. Dr. Meadows did not say that you cannot have another child. She just said it may be difficult. You know, most things in life worth having are. You don't just give up.

Courtney: Carly, the baby is -- is beautiful.

Carly: Yeah.

Courtney: Yeah.

Carly: Well, if he's anything like his daddy -- oh, is he going to demand all the attention that we can give him.

Courtney: We?

Carly: Well, yeah, "we." I mean, a baby is a full-time job, and -- god, i hope that, you know, you'll help. You and jason are his godparents. I'm going to need a lot of help.

Courtney: Well, you don't even have to ask.

Carly: Oh, yes, i do. Because I need you. So, do you promise that you will be there no matter what?

Courtney: I promise.

Carly: And in the meantime, let's just keep this little meltdown between us. Otherwise, it's going to just make sonny so nervous.

Courtney: I wonder where they went.

Carly: Well, wherever it is, it's got to be important, otherwise he'd be here with me.

The hospital waiting room

[Thunder]

carly: Oh, that was a big one.

Courtney: Yeah, it's just a storm.

Carly: Ooh, wait, wait, wait.

Courtney: Hey, carly --

carly: Oh --

courtney: Here, sit down.

Carly: Ooh, i just got woozy.

Courtney: Sit down.

Carly: Ooh --

courtney: You ok?

Jason: Hey, what's wrong?

Courtney: Carly just got lightheaded.

Carly: Jason, my body just, like, aches all over.

Jason: Could you get dr. Meadows?

Courtney: Yeah, yeah, ok.

Jason: Thanks.

Carly's hospital room

Sonny: Hey. Did you have the ultrasound?

Carly: Yeah, everything was fine.

Courtney: But then carly started feeling really sick.

Sonny: Where's the doctor now?

Jason: She's getting the test results.

Sonny: Ok, I'm going to find her.

Courtney: Ahem.

Jason: Sonny, wait a minute. Dr. Meadows will be right back.

Sonny: My wife's in pain. She shouldn't have to wait.

Jason: I know, but the best thing you can do for carly is just stay here.

Sonny: Somebody just dug up lily's grave. Carly's in trouble. It's not a coincidence. [Dr. Meadows comes] Dr. Meadows? Hi.

Dr. Meadows: Hi.

Sonny: Is everything all right?

Dr. Meadows: The baby's in no danger, mr. Corinthos.

Sonny: Well, is carly all right?

Dr. Meadows: Well, she's dehydrated, and it can cause very severe pain.

Carly: Dehydrated?

Dr. Meadows: Mm-hmm. You need to keep up your fluids.

Sonny: Oh, she will.

Dr. Meadows: I'd like to admit carly for observation.

Sonny: Ok, well, you know what, if it means carly and the baby are safe, then I'll pay for her room, a nurse, whatever it takes.

Dr. Meadows: Well, I don't think complete bed rest is necessary, but you do realize you're in your last trimester, carly. It's time for you to start slowing down.

Carly: I will do whatever you say.

Dr. Meadows: Mm-hmm.

Sonny: Thank you, doctor.

Carly: I'm glad you're here.

Sonny: Yeah, I shouldn't leave you alone, you know. I'm not going to let anything happen to you.

Hospital Waiting area

[Jason and Courtney are holding hands]

Courtney: You know, I -- i got to see the ultrasound. God, carly's baby is growing so fast, jason. He's beautiful.

Jason: I'm glad carly has you with her.

Courtney: Yeah. And she's nervous, but i guess that's natural. You know, carly asked me if i would always be there to help with the baby.

Jason: We both will be.

Courtney: Well, that baby will have us in its –

[Emily comes up to them]

emily: Hey, jason.

Courtney: Hey, emily, you look great.

Emily: Thanks, thanks. I'm feeling a lot better. Hey, listen, do you mind if i steal my brother for a minute?

Courtney: Oh, no, of course. Yeah, he's all yours.

Jason: Ok, what's wrong?

Emily: Ok, nikolas was attacked on the docks. He was hurt really badly, jason.

Jason: Who? Who? The creditors?

Emily: They broke his ribs this time, but they could've done a whole lot worse. Jason, you have to protect him.

Jason: I'm sorry. I should've been paying more attention.

Emily: What i'm asking is huge.

Jason: I'm going to take care of this.

Emily: Listen, I don't want you to get hurt.

Jason: I'm not going to get hurt because i know who's threatening nikolas now, and I know how to stop him.
